The more I think about it, the more Farrell's interpretation makes sense. Besides a huge logistical challenge for DMC (monitoring and adjusting treatment for participants around the globe) making case by case adjustments would likely void the double blind protocols. Picture that you are administering the trial in a certain location and out of the blue you get instruction to change the dosing for just certain individuals.
Thank you Farrell,
Your interpretation of an appraisal midway through the trial makes much more practical sense than making a case by by case decision to extend to 5 day.
I think this info from Brazil reinforces the case for something other than vaccines.

I think empathize with your distress. I spent many days in the same sort of quandary until learning the most basic rule of investing:" A trend in motion tends to stay in motion until it stops." With this rule in mind it becomes very simple. When a stock is in a downward trend, you must sell all you own as soon as the trend is evident. Then when the downward trend has stopped, use all your accumulated cash to buy into the upward trend. Of course continue to use this rule through all the inevitable ups and downs. It may seem like you have to do a lot of buying and selling as the trend may frequently reverse direction. However, don't be discouraged as you will be constantly taking profits that are missed by the buy and hold crowd.
Here's an article with some basic info on the history of the mRNA vaccines and Moderna and Pfizer;

Cybermich,
Yup, I'm thinking of a celebration. I'm hoping we see Brilacidin so effective that we all can feel free to fly, congregate etc.
Cybermich,
where would you recommend in the Seattle area (I'm assuming you are in this area as you are a Seahawks fan )?
Thanks for the good wishes HMP :)
Blue Fin,
I've suggested the same approach to my son-in-law who begins chemo this Friday. He has myelofibrosis and is scheduled to receive his stem cell transplant next Wednesday. I prepared a packet of printouts from the IPIX website which I thought gave the most brief and effective points regarding B for OM. My daughter and son-in-law presented it to the transplant specialist at Dana Farber last week Monday. The doctor was non-commital as to whether he would make the request to IPIX. He said he would look into it and that "they have some pretty good treatments for OM". I'll keep you posted as to whether or not anything comes of it.
Despite your misgivings, it seems IPIX is still the best investment for your money. If that is the case, your confidence in the direction of the stock must outweigh your lack of confidence in the CEO. Do I have it right? Also, do you mean duped or doped?
The Docs in the news conferences have to comply with the HIPAA ACT. I believe this precludes them disclosing any patient info without the patient's consent. So, these guys are walking a very fine line.
Thank you Gov, my Chicago East Side compatriot :)
Thank you Blue Fin. I have sent the link and a copy of your message to my daughter. Due to Dana Farber's Covid protocols, my daughter wasn't able to be in her husband's meeting with the transplant specialist on Tuesday. If my son-in-law lets them know he is ready to proceed, the protocol changes and both of them meet with a dept. that works with the family before and after a stem cell transplant as it has huge effects on the whole family due to quarantine/isolation after the transplant. My understanding is that that process can begin two weeks with a target of October for the transplant. My daughter is wonderful advocate and very thorough due to numerous serious health conditions her young family has had to deal with. I'll keep you all posted on any developments that I am free to share.
Tom
Thank you for the prayers Kelt. It's been a long journey with Dana Farber leading up to this strong recommendation that it's time for the transplant. I'd usually be in Maine right now for a visit before the grandkids start school, but don't feel comfortable flying from Seattle due to the virus. If it works out that son-in-law can get brilacidin, I'll at least feel I am doing something from a distance. How are you and yours?
Tom
Thank you for the info dreamer0. I will keep you and Pete and Here Today posted on my communications with Leo.
Tom
Thank you Here Today. I have just messaged Leo and inquired about either a trial or compassionate use. I said that if there is any possibility I would like his guidance on who should contact whom to get the ball rolling.
Tom
Pete,
thank you for your advice. I have just messaged Leo via the CONTACT US tab on the IPIX website. I didn't see any listing of Leo's individual email. I'll let you know any results.
Tom
Do you know the status of a Phase 3 for OM? Is it simply a matter of available funds? MY so-in-law will likely have a stem cell transplant in October at Dana Farber. From what I have learned he will then suffer the misery of OM. I'd be thrilled to find out that a Phase 3 is in the offing.
Dinner tonite is steamed mussels with Texas Garlic Toast. Hmmmmmm.....
Regarding masks and size of Covid 19 particles, here's a PDF from South Peninsula Hospital that takes a rational look at measuring COVID 19 particles and the efficacy of N95 for that particle size:
https://www.sphosp.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Letter-in-response-to-N-95-use-RA-Final.pdf
I spend a lot of time working with Western Red Cedar. Tiny particles can be very injurious to the lungs and cause lots of different types of skin irritation. Sanding can produce particles down to 1 micron. I attach my sander to a shop vac that filters down to 1 micron. I wear a mask as well. From reading this PDF, it appears to me that an N95 should do a pretty good job protecting against COVID 19. Of course one must fit it properly and follow any suggestions about Cleaning it, changing it etc.
I just watched the CV Taskforce news conference on local network affiliate. They stopped the broadcast and went back to local just as the topic of treatments started. Turns out the conference was held at the Dept. of Education and Fauci was not present. He was invited to participate remotely from the White House situation room. This meant he was not available for Q and A with reporters. If anyone saw the portion about therapeutics please let us know or post a link to where it can be seen, TIA.
Thank you for the reminder about Biomanbaba and for sure may that wonderful gentleman Rest In Peace. I recall some of his advice about when you believe in a stock and the price drops, then it;s time to double down. And if it drops some more, double again etc. Buying this year in the "teens" sure takes the sting out of my first purchases back in "the olden days" :)
Hello Holes and thanks for the info. Since reading your post I've been wondering how you were able to chat with Leo. Are you personally connected? get a phone # from website? TIA, Tom
"Just spoke with Leo"
How time flies !
Nowadays I'm shooting for $100 :)
And when daily movements are in $1-2 increments.
K, glad you are still here. And here is to hoping that the ‘51.53 club’ has our day in the sunshine.
Hey Pete - got your msg. the magic number is 360 :)
Thank you good sir !
Thank you Pete. If I'm free tomorrow I'll try the PM.
I have no idea... too many variables. And, even if I did, I'd keep it to myself... no good comes out of publicly guessing such a thing.
Karin, thanks for response. I'll continue valuing your diligent research. You give me some of the nuts and bolts needed to make my own decisions. Thank you.
Hi Ms. Karen,
I'm wondering what in your wildest dreams a good buyout price would come to in PPS for us current shareholders. I'm interested to hear the same from Peteman, the Dane and any others who have been here for a long time (as in CTIX days).
Tom
Thank you in advance for your thoughts on anything you consider a better place for your money. If CTIX is the best, I am sorry for your grim view of reality.
Why shouldn't we reply asking why you know this? Just curious.
Keith, you put a question mark on your comment. Does that mean you would promote or you don't know if you would?
I love that image :) Thank you Warren.
Karin,
I'm in favor of your posting of DD as often as you have the time and energy. A well educated new investor is more likely to ride through the inevitable ups and downs if well educated about CTIX.
thank you Karin
Researchers probably confused the hippies with the beatniks.
There are several other plausible explanations. If you take the time to read back the last few thousand posts you will see the gamut of investor opinions.
In the end, here is the best reason to invest here or any other legitimate biotech pioneer:
