Coca-Cola Whets Thirst for Vitaminwater with Stevia in UK

Stevia Market is booming not only in US. With the expanding acceptance of Stevia as the food additives, the sales of stevia is expected to boom.

Sunwin (OTCQB:SUWN) on SeekingAlpha.com- Companies Gear Up As Health Canada Approves Stevia As Additive For Food And Beverage Use
http://seekingalpha.com/article/1056111-companies-gear-up-as-health-canada-approves-stevia-as-additive-for-food-and-beverage-use
Anyone know what happened to this company? its quarterly reports were quite solid for the last couple years. It can't be simple financial reasons for the delay of its recent Q.
SUWN is now enter the end use consumer market.
As in the news released one week ago, Sunwin stevia just finished the installation of a new facility and product line, what impressed me most is not the increase of its annual capacity, but the fact that SUWN is now producing granule and tablet stevia products.
Stevia, as a sweetener, is usually powder shaped. However, it is very inconvenient to use it for the end use customers. Just imagine adding them into your coffee or other beverages, granule or tablets will be so much easier for the end use customers.
I think Sunwin is now in the leading position in the stevia market, especially in the end use consumer market. This could be a great potential for its sale increase in the future.

This post just came out 3 hours ago. I highlight something for you guys to take a look:
Investorideas.com, an investor research portal specializing in sector research for independent investors, issues a snapshot for the global stevia market and stocks within the sector, including Sunwin Stevia International, Inc. ( OTCQB : SUWN ).
Recently the President of the International Stevia Council (ISC) said Stevia had "fundamentally changed the sweetener market. "Lauren Bandy, Ingredients Research Analyst with Euromonitor International told Investorideas.com, "There is no doubt that stevia has shaken the high intensity sweeteners market, most of all because it is sourced naturally. This puts it at a great advantage to other high intensity sweeteners such as aspartame and sucralose, which are chemically derived. It still is relatively expensive compared to other sweeteners such as sugar, and only represents 2% of the high intensity sweeteners market in volume terms in 2012, although this has doubled since 2011."
According to Foodingredientsfirst.com, "One year after the European Union granted approval for steviolglycosides to be marketed, WILD Flavors (Sunwin Stevia's ( OTCQB : SUWN ) distribution partner) has noted positive interim results. The great-taste expert has worked with customers to create a number of stevia-sweetened products that have been market successes -- everything from beverages to candies."
"Stevia's bitter aftertaste also remains an obstacle, although this is a highly researched and rapidly developing area and is unlikely to affect its market penetration; Euromonitor forecast that stevia will have an annual growth rate of 23% globally over 2011-2016, in volume terms."
To address any concerns with taste, WILD's Sunwin Stevia™ ( OTCQB : SUWN ) brand provides beverage manufacturers one-source solutions: high-quality Stevia extracts in varying Reb Alevels plus WILD's natural Taste Optimization Technology.
Sunwin ( OTCQB : SUWN ) began an expansion production project in April 2012 in anticipation of an improvement in demand in the coming years as the use of stevia as a healthy low calorie sweetener continues to increase across the globe. Sunwin has begun trial production of its new lines and anticipates its added production capabilities to be fully operational in the first quarter of calendar 2013.
I think I have made a right choice, and hope the price will up more in the next couple of weeks! !

Stevia now can be used in food and beverages in Canada!
VANCOUVER, B.C., Dec. 3, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- GLG Life Tech Corporation (TSX:GLG) ("GLG" or the "Company"), a global leader in the agricultural and commercial development of high quality stevia products, announces that on November 30, 2012 Health Canada approved the use of stevia in food and beverages. Prior to this approval, stevia was available only within natural health product applications. Stevia is a natural zero calorie sweetener that has a zero glycemic index and can be used by diabetics. The approval means that consumers across Canada will soon be able to enjoy a similar range of stevia sweetened products to those already available in the United States and the European Union where stevia is already approved for use in food and beverages.

Starbucks will Add Stevia to Energy Drink!
Check this out:

Starbucks Adding Stevia To Their Energy Drinks May Be A Boost For Stevia Growers. As the only U.S. public company that have farming and production line of Stevia, there should be lots of potential for Sunwin!
too late for slgx.
ENG looks right. Looking forward to have 40% gain.
I would set my bottom line at 0.01, the wave doesnt smell nice.
For BCCI, volume is too low. any other suggestion?
BTHR looks like they have two more upward jump, IMO. any thoughts?
looks like some big holder wanna dump the stock at price 0.01, IMO
totally agree, looks like a pop to me.
PYHH went north 300%! should I bid on it?
Take a look at Sunwin's competitor. As far as I know, there are only four public company producing stevia and all of them are listed in OTCBB, which is STVF, STEV, GSTV, STNT. I have to say that these companies are horrible! They have no fixed assets, large amount of debt and even negative equity. However their stock is traded at $0.15 or $0.40 which doesn't make any sense!!! Sunwin's financial fundamentals are much more stable and healthy, with D/E ratio of only 15.6% and current ratio of 3.52! After digging deep into it, I am pretty sure right now SUWN is dirty cheap and I am positive with it's future potential!
Stevia Market is going to recover in the next couple months.
I've been following stevia market for quite a few years. In the past year, the market was quite a chaos. The price fell down significantly. Take high grade RA 95 for instance, the price was over $120 per kg years ago, and now, from what I heard from a insider, the SUWN quote price is lower than $85/kg. The insider told me that there were two reasons for the depressing price.
First of all, stevia is no longer a rare high-tech product, it has became a commodity. Price is now the major issue in the industry competition.
Secondly, GLG life tech (GLGL), who was one of the largest stevia manufacturers, has poured all of its inventory into the market, trying to collect cash to cover its debt. I personally found this is very believable just based on the news that GLG has released, which you can find on SEC website, at http://www.sec.gov/cgi-bin/browse-edgar?action=getcompany&CIK=0001406635&owner=include&count=40&hidefilings=0
Anyway, my insider friend told me that GLG is going to file bankruptcy, I cannot guarantee the accuracy of that info, but if it is true. The price of stevia will increase in the next couple months and Sunwin will become one of the largest stevia manufacturers in the world.
Therefore, it is may be a great opportunity to invest SUWN stock at the price of 20 cents, what do you guys think?
