Krays, Xingwu Wang
Just off the top: Xingwu was/is an electrical engineering professor at Alfred University whose primary fields of interest and expertise caught the eye of Mike Wiener. He started up a private research firm from which Biophan eventually acquired much of the intellectual property it used in its medical device MRI-compatibility developments.
Mike, you make a very good point for all of us impatient investors: cashflow is limiting progress and PR's about progress.
Steve (stephqb)
Ole vern .. I totally agree with you!!
Size of the pie...
I believe many of the people arguing against the R/S proposal are afraid their slice of the pie will be reduced. I believe that Mr. Bitters' vision and strategy is to greatly enlarge the whole pie, assuring that everyone's slice (deservedly including his) will be greatly increased. Charles seems to me to be an extraordinary entrepreneur who knows that greater return is attained only with greater risk, and and who believes he is able to manage that greater risk for the benefit of all.
I understand that if you are a trader who invested at .12 you see only the probability of big losses, so you only want short-term tactics to try to reduce those losses. Those who averaged in at, say, .022 and who envision the possibility of HUGE gains want to support Charles' vision. I'm one of the latter, and I wholeheartedly support Mr. Bitters.
Good luck to all of us.
Moderator: this previously high-caliber board has degenerated into name-calling and attacks on members who hold different views of the reality of the situation. It helps no one, for example, to call CB dishonest; it helps no one to publicly assert outcomes which cannot be known at this time. Every one can only help him/herself by sizing up the situation as it may apply to them and taking the most appropriate action. Please enforce the board rules about personal attacks, etc.
TIA.

Hawk, Shiney, among several others -- thanks for your thoughtful posts on the future of our company. I have decided for myself that it is in my best interest to vote FOR the proposal, even though I do not like its terms. Similarly, I respect the opinions of those who, evaluating the same terms, have decided against the proposal.
Though I have never spoken with Charles Bitters, I believe he is almost single-handedly responsible for the company's successes to date and those I expect in the future. I do not begrudge his potential 35% ownership share. In my judgment conspiratorial theories are off base. I look for senior management to have a significant stake in a company's success.
Damn! RTQ .03x.031
Nelderand/goldrunner, I am in full agreement with your sentiments about CB/JC and AMEP. Thanks for your informative posts, Joe.
Steve
Mrditbme, if you had lost your entire investment (in other words your total investment was now worth zero) you would have lost 100%. You cannot lose 420%.
Last trade .044 -- what are CB/JC doing?!?!?!
Damn ... Oct. oil futures 4.86, down .589 /em

Nelderand, re: discounting...
I was taught that the market "discounts" expected future cashflows to their present value, which forms the basis of the current market cap, and thus share price.
Mrditbme, good posts. But would you amplify the meaning of "resent logging is showing major read outs on the data."?
Anyone: Is RB down?
Nearly 500 million shares outstanding, increased from about 450 million.
Pseeker, sorry I'm dense but I don't understand your last comment.
Whichever, good thinking. Maybe when revenues are consolidated for the subsidiaries AMEP will show a profit in the next 10Q, in which case it takes off like the proverbial rocket IMO.
OT - Please help: can anyone access raging bull?
OT - Can anyone access Raging Bull?
I should add: everything else works just fine.
Pal, I can't access any RB message board.
I get the IE "This page cannot be displayed" message. Been this way practically the whole weekend.
Sorry, but I can't access RB - down again?
Is RB down (Sunday mid-afternoon)? Thanks.
Is RB down (Sunday, mid-afternoon)? Thanks.
Cowboy, thanks...
Yes I see the info request page, but I'm not sure what to ask that we don't know but isn't inside information. Sure sounds like material stuff you heard, and yet isn't public.
Cowboy, where are you hearing that from, please
"How far have they drilled down #8?"
The answer to that question has been posted here, but I don't recall it.
Contractor, so Hart #8 is not yet producing?
Are those recent Proco monthly production numbers?
If so, gas production totaled 6673 mcf, and $36,701 for the month. So some revenues have begun.
Questions about the OAG private investors...
How many of the initial wells are privately financed, with the profits going to the private investors. And how will that affect the share price (i.e. will it keep it down since the company is not profiting)?
What is happening to the share price? Does anyone have a theory?
I like your theory, ctb. And I kind of think it could be correct. This lack of news has really been worrying me.
Exciting? That it takes six months to drill and complete one damned well???
Jaysoos Creestoos, where's Hart #8 results?????
Seems like they've been screwing around with this damned well for nearly six months! This is an outrageous affront to their shareholders not to be forthcoming about what's going on!
Test /em.
Just out of curiosity, re: TUF...
Does anyone know if TUF has dumped his shares? He was such a champion of this company and its management. Don't see him posting much so I assume he's quietly sold out.
Huge thanks, hawk, for your outstanding notes and the great news therein. Very timely for all, but especially for those of us longs who have gotten a little nervous from the lack of news. Great work as always, hawk!
Ctb, I don't know what bashers are saying .. they are ignored. I seldom criticize, and when I do I admit it is out of frustration, but I try to keep it objective. There is overdue news ... we shareholders need and deserve to know every germaine fact about our company's progress. The flow rates for Hart #8 are WAY overdue IMO!
Dammit! Where are the flow rates?..
Everything that is supposed to take DAYS takes WEEKs here!
And where's all the other G-D news we're waiting for??
OT: Hawk, thanks for the nice words....
"Why the stall in BIPH SP?" - First of all, I obviously don't know. But they've been having a lengthy, difficult time with the SEC getting a revised registration completed, and have not been free to keep shareholders apprised of events. Without the completed registration the entire SBI financing package is threatened. During the protracted delay the AMEX changed its SP rule so BIPH no longer qualifies for a listing. In general, Mike Weiner hasn't been delivering on his promises or forecasts so there's nothing to move the SP forward.
For any new run up, IMO, we need to see BSX submit products to the FDA with BIPH technology; and/or we need one or more big licensing deals. When those things happen it will be a sudden surprise, so there's no way to forecast when.
Yes, I'm still long ALMI, and have indeed had nice runs up with it and with AMEP.
Thanks for all your great DD, Hawk, and best of luck to you. I haven't heard about your bridge situation lately. Hope that project is now behind you. Take care my friend.
BLT, found this bit at howstuffworks.com:
Blowout preventer - high-pressure valves (located under the land rig or on the sea floor) that seal the high-pressure drill lines and relieve pressure when necessary to prevent a blowout (uncontrolled gush of gas or oil to the surface, often associated with fire)
