Should we be worried by xjet?
What's the difference between GTATQ and LQMT?
Gamesc,
Did you just notice these patents? I see these were published back in April and March of 2015.
What do you make of these?
A Liquidmetal phone will not cost more. The manufacturing cost savings will offset the cost of advanced materials.
They must be able to secure enough of the alloy to move the entire supply chain at one time. That may be. A challenge.
Sparkly.. That has always been my point!!!
We NEED Apple, but we need something else SOON or else Apple will never give us the bounce we need because we won't even exist
Turing phone is ugly and will fail in a big way.
Wrong!
Apple is NEVER first to market. Vertu was first, then Samsung,, then Turing phone later this year, then probably Xiaomi followed by Apple. I don't think the iPhone 7 will feature inductive charging. I personally believe that Apple will get rid of the headphone jack on the 7 and then go forward with inductive charging and a Liquidmetal body for the iPhone 8.
Therefore, we better get the canard contract or a significant medical contract soon to help us float. Once the iPhone with Liquidmetal hits, it will make a big splash
I agree.
Also, Apple is trying to be as environmentally friendly as possible which means "energy efficient". I suspect injection molding is far less wasteful than CNC Machining.
The question is, what are they waiting for! I believe they will not use it until they have to. They will use it once 7000 series aluminum no longer achieves the required dimensional strength necessary to protect the iPhone from physical damage under extreme conditions.
You are correct, "yet". As they get thinner and thinner, they will eventually have to. As they move to induction charging and your phone is always fully charged as you are always in the presence of an induction energy source, the battery size will be decreased significantly. The phone thickness will continue getting thinner and thinner.
Hence, 7000 series aluminum may not suffice
Because they are getting thinner, larger and lighter. This means that they are getting "weaker"!
They will need to make it out of a stronger material to offset the weaknesses that this new thinness brings.
The mere mention of Liquidmetal in an Apple product will allow them to raise short term capital in a position of strength, possibly including from Apple themselves in order to exploit the interest this news will generate.
And then, the past is the past. We need Apple, Period!
Essentially, Apple leads to our future, regardless of whether or not we ever see any income from them.
This is also correct!
1. iPhone is not made of plastic.
2. CNC machining is very expensive.
3. Though Liquidmetal is more expensive than aluminum, the manufacturing process is way more efficient. As phones get thinner, they must get stronger.
4. Apple is a no brainer for mobile devices.
5. LQMT is a no brainer for surgical tools and stents as long as biocompatibility is certain.
6. LQMT is perfect for canards.
7. There are thousands of products that will benefit from LQMT but it takes one major manufacturer or one super profitable order to send us on our way.
That is why I'm here and why I've been waiting for over five years. If we hit $0.40 cents again, I'm out.
Jollyman is correct!
Consumers are cheap. Liquidmetal is a premium product. Only Apple needs to use this and it will become the "premium" industry standard.
Here's hoping for iPhone 7
The days of Apple's amazing profits may be over http://www.cnbc.com/id/103196947
I can think of one way to expand their margins!
This is not a start up. The worth is based upon revenues, accelerated growth of which we have none, and strength of which we have none.
Apple could buy us for $60 million which is sad. If we get the canards, then things could change overnight. I'd we get the MHTK weaponry, then this could change overnight. If we get ISO Certification and get a medical device or heart stent, then it could change overnight.
I honestly just want a market capitalization of 250 million. That would make me very happy. Of course dollar land would also rock!
The only reason Apple would buy Liquidmetal is if they intend to use it for something other than CE, like say Project Titan. Apple would only buy Liquidmetal if they knew Liquidmetal had something Apple needs and j fortunately, Apple has everything it needs for CE.
The only way Apple is going to buy this is if they get a patent for something they haven't yet received one for that makes this a game changer vs their current rights to the alloy. The problem with Apple buying LQMT is that Apple doesn't overpay EVER. This means that if we were to be bought out today, we wouldn't receive what we could be worth
Liquid water,
Do you believe they would bankrupt the company before using every other viable option?
I guarantee you Apple has one. They would want to play with it like its a cheap toy
They have many shares they can issue.
They have more they can dilute. They will make it to September
Wrong. It's going to be Apple in September or nothing worth writing home about
Materion Corp has begun tweeting on Twitter about bilk metallic glass and their partnership with Liquidmetal. I honestly feel the push to make us a viable alloy is beginning. I believe this means Apple will use Liquidmetal in the iPhone 7.
Materion, Engel and Liquidmetal are really pushing now to build awareness of our alloy. If Apple uses Liquidmetal, it will be very easy to find customers in all industries outside of CE
Gamesc,
It appears Liquidmetal is very busy trying to educate the medical and manufacturing communities on the attributes of our alloy formulation.
If Apple announces the iPhone 7 is Liquidmetal, the manufacturing and medical communities will already know enough to just pick up the phone and authorize their order.
It's from Sept 17. It's OLD NEWS
The point was that the ingots were black! Haha.
It's a "Black Friday" sale meaning they will sell us all the knives they weren't able to sell. Only this photo was taken in bad light and really we are paying full price for a knife with no market.
So Miltner Adams is coming out with a black Liquidmetal knife. That is actually really impressive!
Now all we need is gold and rose gold. LOL
Our biggest problem has to do with part geometry!
How large of a part can be injection molded? Why haven't we seen the maximum size a case for a device can be made? This is the most important thing to consider. Is Apple able to manufacture cases out of this?
Also, is Turing phone a test market for amorphous alloy telephones?
Zadesky will NEVER talk!
I wonder if Apple Pencil will survive the bend test
How many shares does Vissed still have?
Not wanting to seem culturally insensitive, but does what happened in France impact the MHTK and the possibility of the canards? Politically, people hate finding the military but we must out of necessity.
Do these actions perpetrated by terrorists serve our desire to continue researching methods to improve upon our domestic technological prowess?
I was thinking they are a complex shape which I believe would be perfect for injection molding! The ibeats!!!
These don't make skin contact as they have a rubber covering for where you insert them. The certification you speak of would be relevant for the Apple Watch though.
They retail for $99.
I wonder how much they cost and more importantly, how much they contribute to Apple's annual profit margin.. Would it be possible that Apple decides to mass produce these and replace the generic headphones that come with the iPhone if they would encourage people to replace the iPhone more frequently?
Curious as to how much these can really cost and how much these actually add to Apple's brand value!!
Can these be made out of LQMT? Thy are the in-ear ibeats
So he works for IBM?
