I agree.

Also, Apple is trying to be as environmentally friendly as possible which means "energy efficient". I suspect injection molding is far less wasteful than CNC Machining.

The question is, what are they waiting for! I believe they will not use it until they have to. They will use it once 7000 series aluminum no longer achieves the required dimensional strength necessary to protect the iPhone from physical damage under extreme conditions.
