Just checked with TD Ameritrade regarding any limits on trading ALRTF because of the recent domicile change and was told that there are no restrictions in place. While I had my broker on the line I logged in to my account and placed a GTC order and it was accepted. I then logged out of my account and logged back in and cancelled my GTC order - again no issues. I assume all is the same as in the past prior to the move. Hope this helps.
Sorry - Please disregard my previous post. Mr. Chan is in Singapore not Shanghai. Obviously I am globally challenged!
Wonder if the lock-down situation in Shanghai is impacting ALRT and more specifically impacting our CEO's ability to push ALRT forward.
Thanks for the info. I really appreciate it. Let's keep our fingers crossed for some good news soon! I feel we are in good hands with Mr. Chan. He wins - we win, and based on his investments in this over the years, I am sure that we will see very positive results soon. Maybe not in the US/Canada for a while, but the world's lion's share of diabetes problems appear to be outside of North America. Thanks again!
I have significant ALRT holdings in both a regular brokerage account as well as in a 401K retirement account. Any thought as to the impact on either account from a tax perspective? Can foreign stocks be held in a retirement account? I certainly hope that the transition to the Singapore market will be seamless and not have any distribution/disbursement. I assume that if this transition takes place any proceeds will then be treated as foreign income.
Any thoughts would be appreciated!
Thanks for the link!
Thanks for the quick response. I really appreciate the info. Wow. Pretty impressive. Looks like patience is the key here. Looks very promising. I didn't think that the patient base was quite so large nor the cost of treatment so expensive. Thanks again. Looks like a keeper.
Fairly new to this board. Can you please provide a link to the slides that you referenced?
Thanks - so January 8th.
Has anyone received their notification regarding the purchase option of additional shares (not to exceed ownership in October) at $.05? I have not heard anything and the deadline is quickly approaching - 29 December (I think). Only 6 trading days left. Thanks in advance for any info.
New trial announced today with Centrus Health Kansas City.
Thanks. A little over a million. What's a few more months? I am confident that we are heading into a surge in the PPS for ALRT. Long time coming, but the wait will be worth it. Hopefully, the first contract will be executed before the end of the year. After that - watch out!
Great. Thanks. I appreciate the help. Never scrolled down that far before.
I am pretty much a novice posting on this board. I have had ALRT for a long, long time. Probably close to 15 years and I enjoy most posts. I am certainly glad that there are those with such a great wealth of technical knowledge of the process to bring new capabilities/drugs to market; ALRT itself; and, of the diabetes disease/industry. I have learned so much and really appreciate those folks that take the time to share their knowledge, but, -- is there a way to block or place an auto delete function on particular user names on this board?
Mckvee - I spent quite a bit of time in both Italy and Greece. If you get the chance to visit Greece try to make it to Crete. Absolutely wonderful place. I spent some time close to Chania and it was great. Crystal clear water, great beaches, and rugged mountains - snow in the mountains in the winter. People are one of Crete's great assets. Kind of hard to get there though.
I am a bit more pessimistic and think that there will be a contract in place by Labor day. That should be enough time for my wife and I to build our small beach house bungalow in time for the 2020 summer season. Two contracts and it might be a little bigger with a new Porsche in the garage!
Tony and everyone else monitoring this board. The distribution of countries is interesting. Middle eastern countries are either dirt poor or exceptionally rich and as far as the poor countries go, I really doubt if the is much of an organized health care system in them. Then there is the US. Huge market - probably kind of difficult to enter - lot of health care and financial requirements. Still a great market. What about Canada - thought that part of the move to Canada was to be closer to Mr. Chan's home market (not sure if he is a Canadian or US citizen - not that it really matters). I would think that both eastern and western Europe would be huge markets - lots of state run health plans as well as private plans. Better, or actually a more balanced wealth/income distribution of the countries as compared to the ME. Also, Central and South America. Kind of like Europe, but scaled down a bit on the economics side. I know we cannot go after the world all at once, but an absence, especially in Canada and Europe does not make sense to me. Especially GB and France - probably the leaders in health care in Europe. I have been in ALRT for well over 10 years quietly watching and picking up shares from time-to-time and, now finally feel that we are on the cusp of something really big and I am anxious (getting old too and need time to spend the profits). Any thoughts?
Been away from this board for a while. Just looked at recent ALR docs and there was an 8K filed earlier this month concerning a relocation of the company to Alberta, Canada. Any thoughts as to why? Thanks for any insight.
