I keep hearing lots of things. I'd like to see more action and less talk though.
Attn: Old_Schooler.
With regards to your question, now that I think about it and conversations with D, I'm not sure. Will ask D if can be made public and let you know.
I would look into E*Trade and Questrade. I believe they allow trading on the global market for U.S. citizens.
HSBC's InvestDirect or TD Waterhouse Global Investing are the only two online brokerages I know of that Canadians can use to trade shares on the Frankfurt Exchange.
Hey Alliecorp. Yes, I saw that too when I was researching brokerages. Perhaps I got an inexperienced rep when I called them. Wouldn't be the first time. Definitely worth looking into again. HSBC seems to have their act together though. They're the front -runner at this point for me. Thanks.
I was told that TD Waterhouse didn't trade on the Frankfurt Exchange. At least that is what a TDW rep told me when I was looking for a brokerage service.
Dear Tickercom Shareholders,
We are writing in response to the drop in trading volume of the company’s shares on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
The DAX is increasing its listing requirements for Level One companies such as Tickercom. We are now required to file a Prospectus, including audited financial statements, and will now be a fully reporting listing.
The company is diligently pursuing the completion of our audited financials so we can complete the Prospectus at the earliest possible date. At that point, trading should resume and the volume grow.
Throughout the course of this process, the company is continuing to promote our products and services, and you can expect more announcements in the future as we will continue to keep you informed.
Yours Truly,
Dave Frederickson
President
Just curious to hear what brokerage services everyone here are using to buy/sell (when the time comes) shares on the Frankfurt exchange. Would like more options than what I have now. Thanks.
Please forgive me if I'm wrong in my understanding, but how are we considering this situation to be a dead cat bounce?
The stock is not considered to be of low value and the securities have not had poor past performance (save for the recent act of sabotage that is). And most certainly the underlying business is not weak in the least. Within the translation of Dead Cat Bounce it is also assumed that the security will not recover. And I'm quite certain, along with many of you on this forum, that it will in fact recover better than ever.
Well said Tickownr. It's time we re-focused our energies on more positive outlooks. Once things settle and more information (such as publicly available audited financials) are released to the general public, the PPS will rise back to where it should in a short amount of time. The current value/financial position of the company (and its predicted future value) is not the cause of what has happened in recent weeks.
I can understand how those who are leery about investing without seeing hard facts are finding it difficult to make an investment move, so my advice would be to wait until such time as you have enough information to adequately satisfy your worries and hope that the PPS hasn't increased too much by then. Your frustrations are understood. You want to make a wise investment, by getting in on the ground floor, but are hesitant due to lack of hard facts. This would be one of those instances in the investment world where you must take a leap of faith in order to reap the rewards of getting in early.
Here's to all our future successes.
It's my understanding too that original shareholders have detailed information. We are restricted by confidentiality requests to not make said info public knowledge until the company itself releases it to the general public. It will be coming very soon though. Suffice to say this company is in great financial shape with amazing potential.
Appreciate the info ilumini.
Personally, the owners are long time family friends of ours. We get our information (some of which is not posted here due to confidentiality) directly from the owners. Careful what and who you label as "speculators".
Have word that action is being taken. The appropriate authorities have been notified. More information coming soon from TCI. All will be put right. It's only a matter of time.
This has all the makings for a movie of the week. I sure hope the boys are on top of this out West. I'm sure they are though.
How has this Remco Westermann guy been attached as the CEO of Ticker Communications?? He seems to be affiliated with an organization called Bob Mobile and has a controlling interest in the company. Is this a case of sabotage on his part? Is the author of the article in on it as well??
Bob Mobile: Headquartered in Straelen Bob Mobile is a provider of mobile services like ringtones, wallpapers, logos and mobile phone software in Germany.
Whatever is going on, it needs to be dealt with expeditiously and communications need to be made with the shareholders immediately.
I like the way you think Alliecorp. Here's to a better week next week.
Some good news would be very welcomed right about now. A PR release re-emphasizing the exciting ideas, strategies and possibilities TCI has in store is absolutely critical.
It's either utter stupidity or a brilliant execution of a Bear Raid.
I'd pay to be a fly on the wall during that conversation.
It's most disconcerting to see this occurring that's for sure. Not sure what can be done about it though? All just part of the how the trading game is played I suppose.
Perhaps someone had just finished watching the movie Wallstreet and thought they'd try their hand at attempting to drive the PPS down by selling some of their own shares at a reduced price so they could evoke a panic, resulting in further sales and thus driving the PPS down even further with the intent on scooping up a large portion of really cheap shares. I'm sure theories abound.
Nice to see the PPS going back up though. The value (and potential value) of the company should still very attractive to any savvy investor.
I think yesterday was the highest volume I've seen yet. Very encouraging! I'm hearing good things from the trade show in Vegas. Looking forward to more news releases.
I agree with you alliecorp. Tickercom is definitely doing things right. People who have yet to invest would be well advised to do so sooner rather than later to reap maximum benefit.
I agree. I'd also like to hear more regarding their plans for penetrating the interactive gaming industry. They've teamed up with a manufacturer, but what about the proprietary aspect of their offerings? Will they be testing the waters with smaller casino's or will they be implementing pilots with the big boys in places like Macau, Atlantic City, Vegas?
Not anytime soon. Holding on.
This is very exciting news and it's just the tip of iceberg. I'm quite certain we're going to be seeing a lot more of this type of exciting news from these guys. Interactive gaming is the future - especially with those people who have grown accustomed to online gaming. And from a Casino's point of view, it's a huge cost savings in the long run, more reliable, versatile and a fantastic marketing tool as well.
Marketing and PR will certainly be integral at this stage to keep the buzz going and persuade investors to invest. Here's hoping the information continues to flow.
Digital is definitely where it's at today. The print industry is quickly becoming archaic. Just like traditional film photography and all those diehard photographers who refused to admit digital would reign supreme, print too will not be as prevalent as it was in the past.
Fair amount of volume being traded, but not liking the PPS today. Some news would be great right about now. A little fuel for our fire.
Exciting times are ahead indeed. Ticker has come a long way and it just keeps getting better. I think their diversification strategies are certain to pay off in the not so distant future. Right now they could benefit from keeping this new found "buzz" alive with a good PR campaign if possible.
