If there was a like button on this board I would light it up brighter that Times Square.
So I guess insiders (see Claro) were not selling?
Are we still sticking by that theory Baboon?
Wonderful experience????
Only if you are a glutton for punishment or a masochist.
After 9 years there has been nothing wonderful about it other than the 2010 AGM where I got to meet a bunch of great fellow shareholders.
Otherwise it's been one kick in the cajones after another.
Duncelander anyone???
I also see a tender offer for the whole enchilada however when I think of the whole enchilada I am thinking of the ADL properties, CDCH and LDM. I don't know exactly what CDCH still has left after Senor JJ ripped them off but what I do know is that the purchase price for what they do own will be substantial in order to make up for the theft. LDM was always an insider deal and Chapin will do just fine when it's all said and done. I do tend to believe that once JJ is out of the way permanently the offer will come in and if it's less than a dime you will see a mutiny of The large shareholders in an effort to derail the offer. 10 cents is just to low for a property this size and with this amount of potential.
When I am feeling good about this investment I just go back and think of where we would be had our fearless leader chosen Auryn/Volcan in the first place almost 5 years ago. That always brings me back to reality. Opportunity lost
WOW, that is about the most ambiguous post I have read in days.
Auryn is contractually obligated to prove up the property... probably have to spend X amount of money and achieve X amount of drilling/proving up etc... to remain in contract... otherwise they lose all they've spent and have no rights what so ever to the property
So let me get this straight. They are contractually obligated but if they don't then they own nothing and lose all the cash they have already spent?
So in a sense they aren't contractually obligated to do diddly. And given the fact that JJ and his minions couldn't negotiate their way out of a wet paper bag the assumption could be made that there is also no penalty for not proving up the property.
Maybe it will, maybe it won't. It's always been 50/50 with Medinah.
And what exactly is your proof that there are no insider sales?
You saying that you know just doesn't cut the mustard. Where is YOUR proof. Otherwise it is just your opinion.
And neither do you, so...
So everybody but the insiders? That is your position? That is laughable.
Where is that choppa?
So who has been selling all of these shares for the last 6+ months?
Just to clarify...IT'S VOLCAN, not Vulcan
I could care less one way or the other on the shorts topic. I, like Beth, just ask for execution.
While we are on the shorts topic though, how do you explain roughly 250 shareholders showing 1.3 billion shares at the 2012 AGM while the outstanding was somewhere in the 793M area? There are far more than 250 shareholders so it's safe to say that the count would be much higher if ALL shareholders shares would have been counted.
Dying to hear your rational.
Thanks for the refresher course again Beth. That is indeed what I thought on that date. Didn't happen so I adjusted my timeline. Shi*t happens but the important thing to remember is that it only takes on signed JV with a reputable mining company to change the narrative and I for one will be here when it happens. Hope to see you there.
I don't listen to Lespeak. I figured out many years ago that his main objective was to keep an interested crowd while the seemingly never ending task of monetizing the mountain took place. He performed that duty successfully as far as I'm concerned. Those that continue to look to the past do so for their own reasons. I and many others choose to look forward. In this game there only needs to be one successful JV to obliterate any past misgivings. That is what the tried and true MDMN shareholders focus on. The mountain isn't going anywhere, the price of precious metals will continue to rise as stockpiles and reserves are depleted and even these jokers can be made to look like winners when they close a this deal.
Whats your point...
Are you intimating that the Hoffman crew knew that the JOTA claims were worthless and thus decided to not pursue the offer to mine on a portion of the claim?
Besides, did you see this last season? Those jokers couldn't find their face if it wasn't attached to their heads.
No but they did say they were going to ship ORE
Whos on the right?
I thought I had heard it all but this is the cream of the crop. Les looks crooked in this photo therefor he must be crooked. That was good for a laugh.
We could have pictures of Les getting the xray and then the actual xray image itself with Les holding it and some would say that the person in the photo was not Les. Why bother.
Nope
Fuggin hilarious guy.
This goes to my last post. I was able to contact management and the information they gave me was wrong so now I don't bother calling. EYES WIDE OPEN...get it.
By the way. The mountain is still real and the PM's inside are also real. The deal fell through and thank God because Duncelander was a scam artist.
Why don't you go back and look at the share price in 2009. Then look at all of the selling ops during the Partner A and Partner B fiasco. Once upon a time I had WAY more than 1/2 million shares and back in 2012 I still had a nice chunk. When the price started dropping after Duncelander I sold more shares. Hell of a strategy huh?
There are two camps as I see it. The ones that have been around long enough to have a low cost basis and the ones that bought in during the run up after the last AGM. The second camp is usually the most vocally pissed off. I assume you are in that camp?
As for the last two quotes of mine that you pulled from way back in history...why do you think I said in my post last night that my eyes are wide open? What could possible have happened since 2011 that would have changed my mind from Koolaid drinker to sobriety sponsor? Could it be Partner A and Partner B?
Question for you Beth.
1. How did you hear about MDMN?
2. What prompted you to make your first purchase?
3. Did you do any research before buying or did you take someones word for it?
Try me.
I don't drink the koolaid and my eyes are wide open. It helps my emotions knowing that I am playing with house money because I was fortunate enough to take profits when the opportunities presented themselves thus allowing me to be a bit more objective than your average Medinah shareholder.
So how about you lay out what you know and let us all decide the validity.
I'm not asking you to reveal your sources but you say that things aren't adding up...maybe you can expand on that theory for the rest of our benefit.
You don't have to have professional experience to be educated.
Words of wisdom Geenow. he can be right about history all he wants but it only takes ONE signed deal with the right partner to eviscerate history.
I can only offer this Beth...if you care to debate the Doc on the geology of the mountain come on over to TMP and have that debate. Better yet find me one other shareholder that thinks that the Doc doesn't know what he is talking about when it comes to geology and mining.
I think we can all agree that this journey has been painful. This is my 8th year in this investment and I came in to it thinking that I would be in and out within 6 months. Such is life. Fortunately for me I listened to some of the more astute investors on TMP, learned to flip my position and took profits when they presented themselves. I am now playing with house money and thus have much less anxiety than those that overextended themselves.
It sounds to me like you think this deal is about to fall apart. Is that a fair assessment?
I'm not asking you to trust me Beth but like I said earlier, I have the pleasure of knowing the man and his family personally and I find it disgusting that people think that character assassination of someone they don't know and have never met is ok. He has a far superior geological mind than anyone on this board save RD759 and that is what matters to me with regards to this investment.
As for Chapin being a liar...do you really think that he came up with the information that he relayed at the last meeting all on his own? If you do then you need to do more homework. In addition, if you were at the last AGM and took the time to speak with Chapin personally you would know he isn't a bully. Where you even came up with that designation is beyond me but I can tell you right now that if you poll the 300+ ACTUAL shareholders in the room at that AGM there wouldn't be many that think that Chapin is a bully but if that is what helps you sleep at night by all means continue on with your notion.
If you make it to the next AGM Beth please make it a point to find me as I would love to formally introduce myself. I'll be the tall blond sitting with the Decosta family.
Good day now.
Were you at the last AGM Beth? I met an awful lot of people but I guess I missed meeting you. Maybe next time around.
Chapin didn't humiliate the Doc in any way. Those two have known each other for many, many years and Doc has WAY thicker skin than that. I was in a room with Doc and Chapin later that evening and trust me there were no hard feelings but it is nice that you have concern for his feelings. Others don't as you know.
The other day someone asked what I know about the man. His son has been one of my best friends since 1990. I have sat at their dinner table more times than I can count. The Dr. has worked on me and my family for 25 years. He is a man of integrity. I'm not here to convince anyone of that as I don't really care what any of you think about someone you have never met and will never get to know like I have. It tells me all I need to know when people that have never had a face to face conversation with the Doc attempt drive by character assassination.
