So glad to see you here. You haven't posted for six months. I kept you marked to see if you ever came back. I thought Covid had gotten to you. I'm still hiding from Covid and I am 80. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
I am a Lurker. I have been reading this board for years. I am glad to see that you are back because I knew that you were in the storm.
Happy that you weren't in the area that flooded so badly.
I did not get email for SCEI. I am signed up for email
Here is another eagle camera. Davenport Iowa, three babies in this nest also. This camera is not so elaborate, and no lighting at night, but it is still fun watching them. The video is in the middle of the page on the right side.

Oh, I know that you don't hold thru earnings. I just wanted you to know what is driving it today. The only place I saw this CREE info today was where I posted it from. And I read lots of stuff in the mornings.

CREE JPMorgan strongly recommends owning Cree ahead of results
JPMorgan said it strongly recommends owning shares of Cree ahead of the company's Q3 earnings report next week. The firm believes demand is strengthening for LED products and that Cree's Q4 guidance will be a positive catalyst for the stock. JPMorgan has an Overweight rating on Cree with a $42 price target.

Glad they are gone. Even tho I had them on Ignore, they still cluttered up the board. They were given ample time to clean up their acts.

It is an "appliance garage." I have my toaster, George Foreman grill and can opener in mine. There are two outlets in the back of mine so the toaster and can opener stay plugged in all the time. Yes, the door slides up.
So glad to hear that you are okay. I remembered that you lived by Chattanooga and was hoping you had no damage. Loss of power is bad enough in this day and age. Look forward to your return to the board.
I am so old that all we had was Yahoo in 1997 when I started this. So all my portfolios are in Yahoo because I have been too lazy to change. I tried Google one day and I could not make the same kind of portfolios that I can make in Yahoo. Fido does not have a place for my portfolio to show the total gain or loss on a stock, only what I gain or lose on a particular day, not the total from when I made the purchase. I moved all our money from 9 places to Fido a few years ago so it will be easier when it has to be divided among our children. Maybe I am just not doing it the right way. I sure am disgusted tonight.
Don't upgrade to Firefox 4.0. It is awful. I upgraded about six hours ago and I still don't know what I am doing. I am going back to IE after using Firefox for three years. Maybe they have screwed that all up in the three years since I have not used it. I don't use Twitter, Facebook, My Space, Cell phones, tabs, folders, apps. I don't need all the stuff they have added and further more I am 71 years old. I would rather that things just stay the same. Every time they think they are improving a website, they make it worse. Happens all the time. IHub, SI, Yahoo, they make them all worse. I think it is time for me to retire from trading.
I couldn't even watch the Kentucky game because I thought I would jinx it. I knew how tough Ohio State is. I didn't watch it until the last 2-and-a-half minutes. I live in Kentucky. Calipari is one heck of a coach. Amazing coach. I hope he can keep it going.
They are still there. They are now under "Follows" where "Favorites" used to be. Just a name change, but a dumb one at that. I wish they would just leave things alone. Their constant changes are not for the better, they are for the worse.
According to Snopes (urban legends), this is false.

YONG Yongye Intl. tgt raised to $12 at Rodman & Renshaw following news of preferential tax status (8.79 +0.03) -Update-
Rodman & Renshaw raises their YONG tgt to $12 from $10 following the announcement of the co's preferential tax status. The firm notes that YONG received government approval to a preferential corporate income tax rate of 15% for the FY09 and FY10. The firm explains that since the Co has been accruing its income tax expenses at a tax rate of 25% for the first 9 mln of FY09 but will actually pay full year tax expenses at a 15% rate, YONG is anticipating to record a $3.1 mln tax gain in Q4. The firm notes that the preferential tax status is in addition to the VAT exemption which YONG received in 2008 and translates to a gain of ~$0.10 per fully diluted share basis as of the end of FY09.
Yes. I have 10K shares
Bought some ANX. I should have done it last week.
Hello YAK. Welcome back. No one answered you for 13 minutes so I thought I would answer. Hope your time off was enjoyable.
Yahoo is my browser. I don't use Google for a search engine. I am giving away my age. LOL
I am having the same problems loading IHub messages. I am using Yahoo and the messages hang up. This started on Monday October 12 and has been that way ever since during the day. At night and on weekends the messages load quickly like they are supposed to.
I've had to go from reading Favorite Boards to Favorite People because it takes so long for the pages to load. Then backtrack the messages to see what people are talking about. This is only an IHub problem. I can read any other site at the proper speed.

OT. This happened to me with the emails. Here is how you change it. Click on Settings at top of page. Then click on My Settings. Down near the bottom of that page it says Email notification for private and public messages. Change that to "No." That will stop it. I got this information when I wrote to IHUB when it happened to me a while back

Spot aluminium premiums surge on possible China tax
Sunday, 05 Apr 2009
Mining Journal reported that premiums for spot aluminium to China have risen more than 25% in the past week, reflecting increased demand by Chinese merchants and fabricators in anticipation of tax changes as early as May.
In February China, the world's top producer and consumer of aluminium, considered reinstating a 5% tax on imports of primary aluminium to protect Chinese smelters but decided to hold off for a few months to avoid accusations of protectionism from its trading partners. But imports are expected to surge in March and April, which may spur Beijing to put in place the tax as early as May to cut inflows.
UBS Securities said in a research report that the State Council, China's cabinet, approved a proposal to impose an import duty on non-ferrous metals including aluminium in late March, though the rate of the duty has not been disclosed.
A trader at an international trading house said "People have gone crazy. We received so many phone calls asking for April shipments. They said they wanted to buy regardless of premiums. The traders said but they are not too keen to take shipments from May and onwards as the tax may change."
Primary aluminium ingots for arrival in the next two weeks traded at USD 150 per tonne to USD 160 per tonne over cash prices on the London Metal Exchange for delivery to Hong Kong, or USD 180 to USD 190 to China.
At 11:00 AM, CNBC said that Sen. Barney Frank has said that the uptick rule will be back in a month.
That was the first mention of it. Now they will say it every five minutes until it happens.
