Do you mean THIS stock? BDGR?
BDGR is a scam run by crooks.
Run away.
Well, that's a method.
Do you see it going lower than .19? I'm buying a little here.
I think the issue weighing on everyones' minds is who exactly is going to OWN those assets when this all shakes out -- the shareholders or the bondholders. Right now, I'd rather be a bondholder.
There were several things we took from the meeting.
One, we were impressed with the quality of the company's officers. Everyone we spoke with seemed competent -- not like at some other small oil companies I could mention.
Secondly, I appreciated that the tone of the main presentation was guardedly optimistic rather than a bunch of pie-in-sky, gung-ho BS. We felt we could trust that what Watt was saying was an accurate description of the situation. A lot of CEOs use the annual meeting to 'blow smoke'.
Thirdly, it brought out the fact that Dune is not in the driver's seat on either managing the GBI drilling operation or in releasing information or in making announcements about the deep operation. Our 15% puts us pretty far down in the pecking order -- something I hadn't fully appreciated before. Even if Watt WANTS to drill GBI-1 deeper, I don't think it's his decision to make.
And, finally, even though we all are HOPING for a monster sub-salt well, it sounded to me like the company could survive even if that particular well doesn't meet our wild expectations. The company's other upcoming projects seem promising, too.
Those of us who own the common stock have a nicely leveraged position. If everything goes well, I figure our cost/benefit ratio is around seven to our advantage.
Jeez, Derrick. Don't you remember voting for Azam? It was at the shareholder's meeting. You remember the meeting, don't you??
The Alan who spoke today was Alan Bell, our new Chairman of the Board, not Alan Gaines.
My wife and I expect to be there. We've heard that there may be free coffee and doughnuts.
Stop and say "Hi." I'll be the distinguished looking, elderly gentleman with the fire ax.
I have little faith in the ability of the U.S. government to do anything properly.
I grew up listening to Sgt. Preston on the radio, so I know that the Mounties always get their man, and I know from experience that the Germans build great sports cars.
Draw your own conclusions.
There is probably something that you are very good at -- picking stocks isn't it.
NO!
NO!
NO!
No, no, no, no, NO!!!!!
Run away from this stock and don't look back.
I figure that anyone buying BDGR today must be (choose one):
A) Uninformed,
B) Nuts,
C) or Both.
Wrong company, Dummy.
Black Dragon Canada is 8BD.F -- Black Dragon U.S. is BDGR.
You are posting on the BDGR board, and BDGR isn't a dream -- it's a nightmare.

The date of the meeting was in the proxy statement.

You weren't listening. It's over.
Ully, I first invested in BDGR many years ago.
Since that time, the reported reserves have dwindled, the number of wells claimed has dwindled, the reported income has dwindled, the assets have dwindled, and the share price, along with our investment, has dwindled to nothing.
DWINDLED -- rhymes with SWINDLED.
That's what has happened to all of us shareholders. We've been swindled.
The only two things that HAVEN'T dwindled are the number of outstanding shares and the number of lies the company tells.
Yes, this company LIES to shareholders.
Now, you are repeating those lies. Why?
Are you ignorant of the facts?
Or are you in league with the vile scum who cheated us out of our money?
Tell us, Ully. Which is it?
Looks like Joe's kiting the stock by buying shares from himself. Do you think the Mounties or the Germans will ever catch on?
Cool shark photo. I hope it wasn't real, though.
Same name, different company, same crooks.
Here's how it was explained to me: Initially, both the .308 and 7.62x51 have the same exterior measurements, but the NATO round has thicker and stronger walls -- probably because it is sometimes used in automatic weapons. That means the NATO case holds less powder, thus the lighter load. You can safely use the NATO round in a .308, but not the other way around.
The situation gets sticky, though, if you try to reload the NATO cases.
NATO chambers are designed for a sloppier fit so that ammo from all of the different NATO countries will have less chance of jamming. Once a round is fired, the case expands to fill the larger chamber and then may no longer fit in your .308.
It is VERY DANGEROUS to use .308 ammunition in firearms chambered for 7.62 NATO. The reason is that .308 develops a maximum average pressure of 62,000 psi, while many, but not all, military firearms are safe to only 45,000 to 50,000 psi. DON'T DO IT!
8BD.F is a scam run by crooks.
Run away!
I understand. Me either.
Ouch! Bad idea. What's the point of signing onto a message board if you're not going to bother to read what current investors are saying about the stock?
BDGR is a scam run by crooks. Always has been, always will be.
This stock isn't just dead, it is decomposing like a year-old rotten corpse. And it isn't going to spring back to life just because you buy some of it.
Just when you think you've seen and heard it all . . .
This stock has been almost as entertaining as Roller Derby.
Expensive ticket, though.
I can beat that. MY ask is $4.00!
What's the German word for 'nonsense'?
BDGR is a scam run by crooks.
Always has been, always will be.
IMHO, of course.
You mean Joe is even more crooked than I thought?
Incredible!
I seem to remember that OMDA (OOAG) was Jayne's to begin with.
What a long, strange trip it's been.
I've written to the SEC, the FBI, and the IRS. So have others -- and some of them have told me they have been interviewed.
I have no idea if anything will come of it.
How this den of thieves stays in business and out of jail is beyond me. Our tax dollars at work.
Maybe the Mounties will finally nab them.
I've always thought that Lanza would roll up BDGR into 8BD in an attempt to hide his many corporate sins. It's hard to go after a company that no longer exists - especially one whose assets have been transferred out of the country.
Don't you remember what Geraldo found in Al Capone's vault?
Nothing.
From Wikipedia:
"The term "Al Capone's vault" has become slang for a heavily hyped event with disappointing results."
Normally, I would agree -- but have you checked today's date?
Have you looked at the EFIR financials? How can they afford to buy anything?
The company is waiting until after the close to issue the earnings report so as not to disrupt the market.
You just need to be patient, Ben. After all, it hasn't even been five years yet.
