Distilled water is PURE WATER and has a freezing point of ZERO
degrees Centigrade or 32 Fahrenheit. The addition of an anti-freeze compound (ethylene glycol or propylene glycol) may
not interfere with the electrolysis process and allow operation
down to -40 F (or thereabout). Also, the water reservoir may
be a very small vessel (less than 1 gallon) so it would be easy
to insulate or heat above freezing with a small heater operating
off the battery (when engine is not running) or battery charger (when running)

What do you expect her to say? Remember: Patience is
a VIRTUE.
Docent
(long and strong since 2004)
It's in everyone's best interests (particularly NAK) to announce a
JV soon. In the meantime, LBSR continues to be a "free agent" of
sorts in that the mgt. has already stated they are open to negotiate
with other interested parties (and share data).
Docent
Nice discussion of LBSR's trading over the past 2+ years and
conclusion is: "THIS STOCK IS NOT TO BE PLAYED WITH....IT'S
ON A SERIOUS RETRACEMENT FROM ~2008".
Docent
Moondoggy: Does your "pissed off side" have any angst against
JB and the management team for saddling up to scum-bags like
Alpha in the first place? As a long term shareholder, I thought
that LBSR management had more sense than that.
Docent
3D Animations are fantastic! Look forward to seeing
a comparable presentation by NAK/HD/LBSR on BIG CHUNK AND PEBBLE.
Long and Strong for the long haul.
Docent
Well stated!
Docent
Does anyone here believe we have been misled by the Liberty management? They should have known (and reported) what the
risks were when they signed deals with Alpha for funding.
As a stockholder, I feel betrayed at this point.
Docent
I was asked a question to which my post was directed. I'll keep
it on point (HLNT) from now on.
Docent
Good for you. We need more entrepreneurs like you in the US
and soon. If we can get the government off our backs, we may
be able to bring America back to greatness based on innovation
like that being demonstrated by Highline.
Docent
I meant no avarice with my question- simply a response from anyone
who had knowledge of the company's testing to date. I thank
you for your response to my question, respect your position as a dealer, and your suggestion I contact the company directly for more information, which I will do very soon. I am actually very
impressed with the company and its technology and may very well
become an investor soon.
Docent
I bought my first shares of LBSR after attending a stockholder
meeting in which they announced their Big Chunk claims in Alaska
(and that was after the Pebble claims of Northern Dynasty had
already been delineated as one of the largest copper/gold
deposits in the history of the world). If that was stupid on
my part, then so be it. I have ridden Northern Dynasty up from $0.85/share to where it is today (>$8/share). Can you claim
such foresight with your investments?
Docent
P.S. I made over $200k on my investment in US Robotics (inventors
of the modem) in less than 3 years.
I think you're confusing a fuel cell vehicle (that runs on
hydrogen) with an internal combustion vehicle.
Docent
Link from Wikipedia article:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydrogen_embrittlement
As noted in the article, hydrogen embrittlement CAN OCCUR in
post-processing of steel (parts, etc.) and can also involve
molecular hydrogen (H2) as well as monatomic hydrogen.
Please note that I have provided a reference in my response,
not just diatribe.
Docent
Heat treating of metals in a reducing atmosphere (like hydrogen)
can produce embrittlement. That's a known fact. The heat
treating temperatures required may be somewhat above those
generated in combustion, but then maybe not. I would invite
anyone with a metallurgy background to comment. If this board
can't handle simple questions like the one I raised without
denegrading outbursts, then I suggest the respondents take
a few moments to look themselves in the mirror.
Docent
Thanks for the link. I reviewed the NASA publication it was
notably lacking in any post-mortem analysis of the engine. The
emissions were definitely improved by addition of hydrogen.
Looks like a little more research is needed before I would
want to try it in my vehicles.
Docent
If that's true, they should be publishing the work (at least on their
website) as this is a key question any significant manufacturer/partner would ask.
Thanks for your response. More information (if you have it)
should be posted on this website.
Docent
Technical Question: Has Highline done any metallurgical
studies on the engines using their hydrogen boost technology?
Hydrogen (when combusted) can cause severe embrittlement of
metals that could lead to failure of key components of the
engine (pistons, valves, etc.).
Docent
P.S. I am a professional engineer and worked in R/D for
a Fortune 50 company for 35 years.
Who was the seller (of the 1.2 mm share block)? Would be nice
to know who was stupid enough to let go.
Docent
Question on JV:
Is it likely that NAK would try to negotiate terms of a JV based
on flexible terms that determine the worth of LBSR's claims
based only on ZTEM and limited drilling data with hedge clauses tied to confirmation of proven reserves based on drilling results?
Docent
(P.S. I've been accumulating LBSR since 2004 and bought my
initial shares for $2/ea which I STILL HOLD). My avg. price
per share is now $0.008. LONG AND STRONG
Cheesy lawyers always follow the smell of money.
Docent
Liberty Star is a Tucson based company. While you may like
to see the annual meeting in Vancouver, I doubt that will happen
for MANY REASONS. First of all, its an American, not a Canadian
company. Do you need more reasons?
Docent
Stockholders meetings are held in Tucson (Arizona) and usually
at the Arizona Inn (near the U of AZ campus).
Docent
Yes - I've been to (3) of them, the latest being 2007. They are
very informative and the Q&A sessions are handled with thoroughness
by the corporate officers (Briscoe primarily).
Docent
Agree with the Moon man. LBSR has been laying the foundation
bricks of its claims in Alaska since 2004 (or earlier). This
company does it right and is about the reap the fruits of its
labor. As stockholders (I bought my 1st shares in 2004) we are
in line to share greatly too- and for that I'm both patient
and committed to stay the course.
Docent
New to InvestorsHub but I've been accumulating LBSR shares since 2004
(I live in Tucson and have been to 3 of their stockholders meetings
and have met and respect Jim Briscoe and his team greatly). Bought my
first shares for $2 each, and now hold 500k
Comment:
Too bad we don't have some "boots on the ground" at the site of
the Big Chunk claims to monitor goings on, like teams of NAK
geologists prospecting for best core drilling sites to verify
the ZTEM data. Any ideas?
Docent
Briscoe is not surprised by any of the last (3) weeks action. He
is a very strategic thinker and excutioner! Go LBSR - to the MOON.
