Hey WSHAW still checking fromtime to time, huh?
Tonoglod has met their financial obligations with Comstock up to this time. They've expended around four million so far under the original agreement. They continue to come up with the money when it is needed and if past performance is a reliable indicator then they will come up with the cash as needed in the future.
And it will be interesting to see the 43-101 from LODE on the Dayton resource. They had intended to release it back in the 2018 fourth quarter but delayed it after uncovering a pretty unique bench which needed to be understood and incorporated into the report.
Good fortune in your investments and check back in once and a while.
Really? Tailings contaminated with cyanide percolate the cyanide out? Here I thought those piles were contaminated for many, many years although it does get slightly reduced by cyanide resistant bacteria or flora vice percolation.
It would be great to have something that quickly removes it completely in a cost efficient manner. Mabe by producing salable products.
You forgot to mention GOLD'n GRO. Not a topic of interest to you? How about the recent facilities expansion? Boring is it?
The work with the mining companies is still in the research stage, thus not publicized. Infer whatever you will from the point that these companies appear willing to get involved.
"the amount of this kind of waste has dramatically decreased in the last decade"
Good news indeed.
Now if only somebody could do something with electronic waste. You know printed circuit boards and such.
And then wouldn't it be fine if somebody could do something with all the cyanide tainted leach tailings? It would be really great if somebody could get rid of the cyanide and recover all the remaining precous metals from those tailings, wouldn't it?
I believe you; "if a mining company could save a few nickels using new technology, they'd embrace it." Itronics is my favorite company.
CR what is the status on the 43-101 at the Lucerne?
Long overdue
Nice. Thanks TD
Thanks Max, interesting stuff.
They draw a lot of water from the Colorado river as well. Back in the 30's Arizona was literally ready to go to war over that water. Took the Supreme Court to settle it. I doubt very much that SoCal will decrease the share they take. And I'll bet they are going to lobby a to get a large allotment from this release. . . for their swimming pools, of course.
I lived there for a time and was amazed at how policy makers could get away with causing actual harm to it's citizens needs and interests. I don't even try to understand crazy.
I could understand the desire to split California into two states, I favored a West CA and East Ca.
Presidential Memorandum
The signing ceremony
Gold'n Grow targets include vegetables, fruit and nut trees, citrus and avocados, cotton, alfalfa for dairy cows, silage corn for dairy cows, wine and table grapes, potatoes, field beans and peas, cereal grains, turf, home lawns and gardens, ornamentals, and golf course tees, greens, and fairways.
The Central Valley is the state’s agriculture hub, producing over 360 products. California is the sole producer of more than 13 fruits, vegetables and nuts including walnuts, olives, clingstone peaches and sweet rice. California is also the nation’s largest dairy producer with over 1/5th of the Nation’s dairy. Years of man-made drought have increased food prices around the Nation.
I've watched several videos of the President at work. When work is to be done he is impressive.
cabinet meeting
The first video is twenty minutes while this one is fifty. Both were worth my time. With the exception of Agriculture who was spending (wasting mine and the cabinets time stroking the President, or trying to anyway.) Small Business Administration seemed to do a bit of that herself. The others were direct and down to business.
I was most impressed when the President instructed them to reduce expenditure by 5% across the board by the next meeting. He referenced the penny plan which has been bruited about for decades. He said let's not do a penny let's make it a nickel and see if we can do the same or better for the one after that.
Thanks Traderdogzz.
This must have really pleased you Dounome, here I thought the mining property was way on the back burner, then this notice comes out. And you were looking for information about it all along.
There is other intriguing news coming out of the PR posted by GO ITRO. In it Dr Whitney used the term "Breakthrough technology" referring to the work at the Comstock Mining property. And Corrado de Gasperis use the term "breakthrough" when talking about the test of KAM-Thio on raw ore from the Dayton project. I am thinking that there is more to be revealed when Comstock holds a conference call on the 30th.
I was happy enough to grab some more shares over the weekend.
And that was before I watched a video of the President signing a memorandum ordering the Federal agencies to loosen the hold on water for the farmers in California. Particularly in the Big Valley. Itronics already does the majority of its fertilizer business in California and this will increase the demand for the product by a massive margin. This alone justifies the purchase of the Wabuska production plant, with it's railcar service, for the increased production and distribution of fertilizers.
You are welcome.
Right you are and they are poised for expansion.
I am guessing that they were not producing enough product to justify a sales force and now that they are expanding it is time to push it.
Yep, it is majority owned by Itronics.
Itronics wholly owned Whitney and Whitney which is in the minerals division. As best as I can determine, Whitney and Whitney owns 83% of Auric. And is administered by the minerals division.
You have a deep interest in Auric, which will probably be a money maker somewhere down the line, and seems to have caught your interest some years ago.
But to me the biggest story is the ability of KAM-Thio to clean up all the cyanide contaminated slag heaps throughout the country and internationally. That frees up millions of dollars of reclamation bonds posted by the mining companies.
Plus it recovers most of the remaining salable metals.
And what is left is environmentally better processed rock with uses yet to be determined.
There is the possibility that KAM-Thio can work as well as or even better than cyanide on silver-gold raw ore eliminating the use of cyanide altogether.
And it might even eliminate the need to use of sulfuric acid in copper-gold-silver type of ores.
So, to my eyes Auric Gold is a side project best to keep on the shelf for a while while focusing on the KAM-Thio potentials.
Aye. And call me Sail, Mr. Done was my dad.
dounome, I'll answer your question.
Look here Itronics Master Profile
then go to section 1.7 titled Mining Subsidiary: Auric Mining Gold and Minerals.
There is a lot of information packed into a few paragraphs but the key takeaway is this; it has low holding costs and is being, strategically, held for long term development using the technologies that Itronics is currently bringing on line.
There is more information in section 3.3 titled Minerals division.
And more to be gleaned about the Fulstone project in section 4.1 and elsewhere I just recommend that you read the entire document.
Welcome, as you can see this is a very quiet board. Itronics is one of those unheard of companies, quietly increasing in value without all the fanfare. And this even though they are very good about issuing press releases and keeping the public informed.
Rock Hound there is a lot information in that link and the 43-101 resources is so close to completion that it may come out before the property of Merit is finished. The TNGL board may be waiting to see what that has in it.
PR out today from Itronics with some new information from the Comstock.
Itronics PR
Based on test work completed to date, it appears that after removal of metal, nitrogen, sulfur and other impurities it may be possible to use the washed rock to prepare saleable aggregate and mineral materials. Further testing is under way to evaluate this possibility. If this works, then it may be possible to sell the stockpile materials, making this a “Zero Waste” process for mining and creating a new industrial minerals revenue stream from silver and gold mining in the Comstock Mining District.
Another press release today.
Itronics PR
There is too much information in it to summarize here.
I doubt that many people are monitoring this board, Itronics, yes, this board. . . not so much.
I am just glad that I took a good amount at fifty cents and have added since. Would like to do more but it is not in the cards right now.
As much success as they have achieved in recent times, would be good enough. But this line from the press release is another intriguing angle; "Conference participants told Dr. Whitney that there may also be some significant applications for the KAM-Thio technology in other industries"
I told my sister about the success with cyanide heaps and she immediately connected the potential for cleaning a old mining super fund site. There is a lot of federal funding for that kind of work.
Tonogold is ready to move forward on the Lucerne.
Eight days from today, Tonogold Resources will be holding their annual shareholders meeting at the Gold Hill Hotel and the CEO will be making a presentation and taking questions. Then these who sign up in advance for it will get a tour of the Lucerne and the infrastructure. Those who don't sign up for the tour might still be able to go if there is room.
Looks like they are going to pay for it with an increase in the number of authorized shares from two hundred million (200,000,000) to seven hundred million (700,000,000) shares. If dilution doesn't cut the price, then they will have plenty of cash to keep moving forward.
I'm thinking that the reports will be released for the meeting and that the information from the CEO presentation will be a boost for the TNGL share price even with the potential for some dilution.
Maybe LODE will release the Dayton report soon, update the website and get back over twenty cents so as to not face another reverse split or being dropped off the AMEX.
Cycladex is a privately held company and therefore not required to publicise their business.
It is hard to get excited about a blank page.
I've taken a wait and see attitude toward Cycladex but I keep in mind the investment in it that LODE made. That indicates that there is real potential there.
Itronics is well publicized and is announcing remarkable results. So yeah, I find Kam-Thio more exciting. But there is more to Itronics than the Kam-Thio project. There are several different fields that they are expanding in and they have a lot of potential.
Nice press release from LODE about the ITRO pilot plant testing raw ore from the Dayton.
If the Kam-Thio test works out, they would be disrupting a multi-billion dollar industry. I envision the opponents of the mining industry outlawing the use of cyanide, if a cost effective alternative is available.
That is why I have been calling the potential of Kam-Thio breathtaking.
Even selling the in the teens might not be the best move. If this process is taken up by the mining companies then just in possible dividends I might be out earning my original investment. And that is about four times a cost per share as you paid.
Still seems like a good idea to have the ability to sell whenever you wish.
Okay, yeah OTC was iffy with the mainstream brokers a while back and they probably did not want to bother with it.
If you are holding a physical certificate or certificates then open an account with a broker regulated by FINRA (preferably a full service brokerage) using the same exact name as you have on the cert then sign it over. Make sure you get a receipt.
If you have your shares in direct registration with Itronics then you can instruct either your broker or Itronics to electronically move your security to your brokerage account via the "Direct Registration System" .

Brokerage, no safe for me.
I have searched hard to try and identify the other ten mines that Cycladex is testing their product on and have not succeeded. I only have found CMI as a partner and research site.
Itronics owns their own mine, Auric Gold and Minerals, where they may be doing more research that is not being publicized. If they're not working it now then certainly they will be in the future. But the fact that they are actually building a pilot plant on the Comstock shows a definite commitment and expectation of good results.
I'm not a scientist of any sort just an interested observer and jigsaw puzzler.
Cycladex appears to be successful dealing with refractory ore which is the kind of ore that does not work well with conventional methods and tests have shown it to also be successful in recovering conventional ore at the Comstock.
Kam-Thio appears to be an improvement on conventional methods but I don't recall any indication that it works on refractory ores. However what it does with cyanide tainted tailings is so extremely amazing that I can't express my feeling of awe.
Both processes have a unique field that doesn't conflict with the other and it is just a question of which one is the better economically for processing conventional raw ore.
Sure and most investors don't spend their time on message boards. So that would explain the slight activity on the IHUB ITRO message board. I just found it amusing that there is the appearance of more interest in Itronics on a different board then on this one.
It was through LODE that I came to invest in ITRO and this investment may turn out to be my best ever. And I certainly understand people not wanting to invest in LODE. The track record has been abysmal and unless the production gets going and proves to be profitable; LODE isn't going to be attractive to most investors. I am in it for the long haul and it has been a long haul, so far.
How did you come to discover Itronics?
MAXBET I was thinking about Itronics and Cycladex and recalled your speculation about going full scale on the Dayton using Cycladex. Then stuck in the caveat Or something similar. at the end of your post.
I'm wondering if you still think it will be exclusively Cycladex?
That's right, Cycladex is the company LODE has a ten percent share. We cannot invest directly in Cycladex until it goes public.
While Itronics is doing their research on the Comstock, going so far as to build the pilot processing plant, they are not reported as either an investor or an investee. since we don't have a share in ITRO through LODE, I invested directly. Both Cycladex and Itronics look good and I will be happy whichever works out as the best process. And it is very possible that they will both be winners depending on which kind of ore is to be processed.
Since Itronics is publicly traded we get press releases and have access to the reports submitted. There is not as much information coming from Cycladex but I found this from what Roger Pettman, CEO of Cycladex wrote on LinkedIn.
Secured $300k of seed funding from one of the oldest US gold mines, Comstock in Nevada
Comstock recognize Cycladex as a strategic partner in October 2016
Moved our 4 employees to the site and begun scale up
Backed by 3 $b chemical companies who are investing their own research dollars in developing the process
Established strong interest from 10 other mines with minimal business development including one with reserves of 97MT of gold
Established advisory of world renown geologists and gold miners
Scale-up in progress, results to date show Cycladex Process is statistically better than the old cyanide process
Demonstrated the process works on refractory ores where cyanide does not work.
Signed deal with Intellectual Ventures, a $7b IP house to develop and commercialize the business and add additional patents
There is a lot of money behind Cycladex (including three chemistry companies that are each billion dollar companies) and it appears that the process works on refractory ores about which I haven't seen any references from Itronics.
Cycladex is not a public company and thus does not have to put our much in the way of press releases and is not reporting itself to the SEC. So we have to wait and see what trickles out from either LODE or the other ten mines that Cycladex has working.
The CEO has a doctorate in Chemistry and has been an entrepreneur who has helped take companies public and most recently founded a company, Revolymer, and within nine years took it to IPO in January of 2014. By April of that year he and Sir Fraser Stoddart founded Cycladex. (Sir Fraser has since received the 2016 Nobel prize in chemistry.) It has only been four years but I bet that Cycladex will go public in less time than Revolymer took.
There is more talk about Itronics on the LODE message board than there is here. Chuckle.
Itronics just put our another press release. insert-text-here
A very interesting company, I got in at fifty cents, my wife bought in at seventy five. Don't expect to see those prices again. Once they get that 54 acre plant up and going you might not need to go to Amazon to order GoldnGrow. They might produce large enough quantities to put it in Lowes or Home Depot.
But it is their work on the Comstock that drew me in. And I am eager to hear how things are going with the raw ore.
Whoa! Slow it down there CR. There is another 17 million dollars worth of work towards that 51%. TNGL is well on the way but that 2 million for the extension doesn't get them there yet.
I'm a Comstock investor but have been reluctant to invest in TNGL. I don't see a place for a small investor like me with this company.
They have some very wealthy investors/board members and appear to prefer issuing stock to them to fund their operations rather than taking out large loans.
The small shareholder is just plain going to experience dilution. As you said they've got to pay for all that money they are spending somehow.
There is no insider information on the NASDAQ but that seems to be the mode of operation.
What is certain is that they appear to operate on a shoestring but come up with the funds whenever they need them.
