HI TOM
I was just surprised the last edition listed on
Amazon was 2013. I wonder why they stopped publishing it. If it is true.
Thank you

Hi Conrad
In marketing , everything is exsposure and catching your imagination. e.g. lichello's title of his book. With due respect few know anything about aim. Especially with Lichellos book not being published anymore.
You need to translate your book into English which has a larger speaker base. You can condense it,
Make sure it is readable and include your sample trial software program with it. Try different titles till you have a winner.
See what happened when Praveen changed his title it moved to a number one position. I think you have a worthy program.
praveen also kept it very simple in presentation. Though it was a well thought out plan.
You have a very analytical mind that is very sharp and a lot of readers aren't at your level.
I hope you didnt't give up.

Hi Tom
If any one is interested they have free investing course on coursera. I'm enrolled in a course called Computation Investing. They mentioned as an illustration a stock AGNC which pays 15%dividend. They were explaining adjusted closing prices in the video.
It sounds too good to be true. Anyone have any insight why it is so high?

HI Daisy 42
Once a position is entered such as the 48 to 52 cash stock mentioned do you modify it the stock cash ratio by high low price history or just follow aims recommendations.

Thank you for your answer.

Hi Daisy42
Can you use a real example with numbers to illustrate and explain your method.

In your experience what is the most appropiate number or way to set the twinvest code. Is it the high, is it the low , their average or what.
In other words what would you two choose.
Again i know it is a generalization.
The web site said twinvest needs a selling procedure. What would you two use as an effective practical recommendation.
Again this is for discussion only and for future thought only. No one should consider this as a recommendation to be carried out

Hi Mark
advanced autopmatic investing also works on the mac. Mac users can now use your program.
1step
Hi Mark
Though few stocks show up on the screen your program is very usefull.. It gives me entry prices.
etc. when i use the single stock option.
I read my past posts and din't mean to imply your program isnt productive. It is that everything is out of whack. IN other times the average yielsd of sp was 4 % not like now about 2%. To me it means everything is over bought. Your program is just reflecting and warning the buyer to be aware. I also like the asset allocation function.
I just wish times were more normal.

vss on a mac
Hi Mark
I was able to run vss on a mac. I down loaded oracle's virtual box. Installed xp on it . down loaded vss and ran a scan .Even on a mac only two shares turned up suitable for your system. Any way people can run your program outside of a pc.
1step
HI Mark
With VSS i still get 2 or 3 recommendations. Should I set different paramaters or just wait till there is more selection?. If different parameters then what values?
What do you do?

CHY Payout Ratio 112%
JNK Payout Ratio 106%.
You might want to recheck JNK. It is paying out more than it is taking in.

Hi Karw
It was a rise in dividends of about 8 %. I'm waiting for the year end to contribute next years roth ira money. i pair my riskier purchases with more stable stocks mccormick or kimberly clark. MKC or kmb.
What do you think of chy or erh . some one suggested those funds to me? one is i think a favorite of this board, and one is a utility closed end fund. Does any one know their exspenses ?
Which pimco would you suggest for study. im looking for yield.

Hi karw , toofuzzy
psec cut its quarterly dividend of 40 cents to monthly of 10 cents in june or so of 2010. Obviously price went down. What do you think?
1step
Hi Karw
Thank you for the analysis it gives me more confidence in doing the investment
a good place to find information on dividend stocks is dividendinvestor.com
Ocrofts method is also good .
The value of the aim family of methods is to remove the agony of seond guesing myself.
1Step
Hi Karw
Thank you for your suggestion ill check in to it.
Some one suggested to me psec. Its payout ratio is 75%. A livable amount. In previous eras, payout was about 60% on us stocks and yields of about 5% or so. Psec yield is 11%. I buy and hold. But ill maybe aim it in first gear . Use price and constant value of praveen's technique. The yield will be gravy It , the price fluctuates +/- about 10 to 20 % in a year. What do you think.
1step
Hi Praveen
I'm a big fan. Can you explain about your new books . How do they differ from your original work.
This way ill know which ones to purchase.

What is the pro and cons of a dividend capture mutual fund such as advdx. Its yield of 14% is tempting. But I feel there has to be something I'm missing. It is too good.

I ran a study on General Electric, GE recently.
I took quarterly results. The last closing price on a monthly listing of yahoo prices for Ge. The listed closing price prior to posting of a dividend. Two screens worth or if you permit two pages worth I did this for the 2 most recent screens of monthly listings of yahoo stock price quotes. I did this .( Ge varies its payment some what from a true quarterly system)on a quarterly basis
I aimed the account . It was up 63 percent. classic aim no minimal buy. No accounting of commisions or dividends. I did not aim my real purchase of GE.
I hope my proceedure is duplicatable . I am not sure if I screwed up as the series started around 40 dolars and we are at 22 dollars in value. I hope some one will check my figures as it seems to good to be true.

Ocrofts A+ stocky are less likely to falter though not guaranteed they won't.They have highest consistency in earnings and dividends per sp evaluation
One should look at his technique as a high probability of success but not a guarantee.
If it has a probability of 90 % success. then 10% failure rate is very acceptable failure rate.
If he diversifies he should be successful on average but not guaranteed .
We all play the averages some better than others. Aim helps us but doesn't guarantee success.
GE an A+ stock cut its dividend in 2009 . It is still struggling to recoup. The mortgage crisis made it vulnerable as a possible but debateable black swan event. I bought it thinking it was the rock of Gibralta . Immovable and sustainable. I was wrong. But i did diversify and up about 40% since I bought other stocks that sustained themselves . I won some i lost some.
We cant guarantee success. We can only hope the averages are with us and we try to maximize our playing of a very complex and poorly predictable game.

Hi Conrad
I think a stand alone excel program or such might attract attention. I don't know about an add on to Vortex.
Lichello's book has been removed in real form and is only being published as I understand it in e-form.
Where will new aimers come from. ? Where will new vortex users and AI of mark hing come from?
In U.S . we have various installment retirement accounts. I think an excel type program will succeed .
Most people have excel would reach many people and draw attention to aiming.

Hi Conrad
Thank you for the explanation.
I'm sorry so little interest is shown in your periodic installment investments program module.
Most people in the U.S.A do periodic investment as such in our IRA and other retirement accounts.

Hi Tom
If you want to study a bubble. The price of Mr. Lichellos classic book is over 60 dollars on amazon, for new books.

Hi Praveen
Do you have figures of using your technique on the s&p itself. How would your system fare.?

Hi Tom
Have they stopped printing Lichello's aim book?
On Amazon new ones are selling for 22 dollars and up. About 3 times usual price.
Usually it retailed for about 8 dollars.
Just curious

Amazon has a download on formula plans called . Stock market formula plans. It is their
e reader book.format The Kindle. I don't know if there is a hard copy as well.
It is about three dollars.
Also David Dreman is coming out with a new book . He is on Tom Veale's reading list at the Aim Site.
He is a value investor with a preference for studying the performances low P/E stocks.

Hi Karw
Thanks for checking my math as I did it by pencil and paper. I got similar results.
I know and believe entry point is the best key to success over the long run. However you evaluated p/e , book value , dividend yield , orcrofts method etc.
You want stable stocks with a history of dividend increasing regularly and the company committed to it. You want reasonable yields equal to inflation or better. You want the business to be growing at a reasonable rate.
Could use the dow or any set of stocks you want. Doesn't matter. Dow is just one well publisized collection.
One place I found fairly recently was Iqtrends.com . They subscribe to dividend yield value investing. They rank their universe of stocks as to value criteria. Once every six months or so I subscribe for 45$ for a month or two and use their list of vetted stocks for a selection universe. I also use mark hings Value stock selector to look for value.
Carl Carson wrote a book on using low priced dow stocks for a selection universe.
No I never researched the dogs of the dow.

Hi Tom, Mark
You can save this site also by making it an EBook perhaps publishing on Kindle-Amazon, and using the proceeds if you decide to sell it to help finance your grand child's education. Books are as cheap as 99 cents or even less. If you have reservation over charging any money. You also can revise the book as new ideas prove deserving of consideration
It would be available to all. Would do a good thing as education is very exspensive and the kids come out with large debts.
Just a suggestion
