EGPI Firecreek, Inc. Signs Binding Letter of Intent to Acquire Arctic Solar Engineering, LLC Business Wire "Press Releases - English"
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. --(BUSINESS WIRE)-- EGPI Firecreek, Inc. (OTCBB: EFIR) is pleased to announce that it has entered into a binding Letter of Intent to acquire St. Louis, Mo. -based Arctic Solar Engineering, LLC (referred as ASE), a privately held supplier and integrator of solar thermal systems and absorption units.
Arctic Solar Engineering, LLC integrates Solar Thermal Energy technology patented over 30 years ago by Daimler Aerospace in Germany . This technology is used throughout Germany , other parts of Europe , Asia and the Middle East . ASEs competitive advantage is product knowledge and knowledge of how water-based energy systems work and can be successfully implemented to reduce an average buildings energy consumption by up to 70%.
Solar Thermal Energy (STE) is the most efficient and economical method of capturing and using renewable thermal energy created by the sun every day of the year. The solar collectors we use, based upon a heat pipe design which operates under basic laws of physics, capture all visible and non-visible wave lengths of sun light and convert the light into energy at 90% efficiency. Energy created by ASEs STE systems store that energy in water (or other similarly inexpensive storage mediums) and then use that energy in its direct form to heat water, heat space and cool spaces. According to the US Department of Energy , this accounts for 70% of all energy used in commercial and residential structures in the United States .
Because of ASEs STE systems, there are no real local competitors and competition is very limited on a national basis. However, the market demand for renewable energy is growing at a dramatic rate. ASEs payback is typically faster and over the same 20-year projected savings from the energy produced by their system, the ASE Solar Thermal Energy system saves customers typically 10:1 or greater. Additionally, if ones need is for heating domestic hot water, heating space or cooling space, then Solar Thermal Energy has no real competition.
With the combination of EGPI Firecreeks energy and engineering background, and Arctic Solars expertise, EGPI Firecreek will now be able to provide a complete turnkey commercial building solar system that uses no conventional energy, resulting in 60%+ energy savings to the client. EGPI Firecreek, Inc. expects to have the largest installed solar thermal systems in the Midwest, and one of the largest in the country, with a 5-year or less payback and no federal or state incentive support.

Apple Rush signs addendum to license Apple Rush brand to Apple Rush Maui Comtex News Network "Datamonitor"
Jan 10, 2011 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- Apple Rush Co., Inc. , a producer of organic 100% juice sparkling beverages, has signed an addendum to the original agreement to license its Apple Rush brand to Apple Rush Maui, LLC .
Under the terms of the new agreement, Apple Rush Co. will repurchase the California territory from Apple Rush Maui. The repurchase plan calls for a per-case royalty payment from all Apple Rush beverage sales in the US to Apple Rush Maui.
Reclaiming the California territory will allow the Company to develop a western region sales plan that includes nine western states under one western distribution group. The former President of Apple Rush Maui, Stewart Cohen , will join Apple Rush Co. as the Western Regional Marketing Director whose first responsibility will be to appoint a Western Distributor capable of handling the territory. Apple Rush Maui retains the rights under the original agreement to market the Apple Rush product line in Hawaii and Japan .
