You are so wrong. I've owned my Samsung UHD set since Nov 2014 and have viewed films such as Fargo, Rocky, Robocop and many other films in 4K ever since. And the IMAX films are beyond comparison viewed on a 4K set. Will enjoy watching Rain Man tomorrow.
Question: If you own a Sony, Samsung, LG, Vizio, et al UHDTV with the Ultraflix App already in place why would you buy a Roku 4K unit? Redundant?
And if you own a HDTV why would you buy a Roku 4k to play 4K content when you don't receive the benefit of 4K. So how many actual non-smart UHDTV will be manufactured of which Roku 4k could be marketed? Just some thoughts.
I had always wondered where all the content was. When I calculated the number of hours of content a few weeks ago I came up with about 130 hrs (does not include the X rated content). But many of the third party articles kept listing over 500 hrs of content. Based on this it just became obvious to me that they have yet to turn on all their servers and were waiting for launch date to do so. If the "Dark Knight Rises" is the quality of content they have already converted and not yet uploaded for public viewing then when released we should compete very nicely with NETFLIX.
Ultraflix is on my Samsung now!! Wow....Sony, Vizio and LG to follow soon I would imagine. But #1 TV in Asia should now be loaded with Ultraflix to all the 4K's.
Lot of back handed comments that don't pass my smell test. FWIW.
Penny....have you tried logging off Ultraflix and then logging back in. That worked for me.
I was in Sam's Club yesterday and they had Vizio P series 55' and 65' and Samsung. I'm going back to double check on other brands and to scope the Vizio's for ULTRAFLIX.
I wish NTEK would turn on their servers to show all the content they have but I guess I will have to wait for their hard launch and Ultraflix update.
IntelligentPMC..........would love to see the video. TIA and thanks for all that you have done.
IntellgentPMC.....would appreciate any updated video. TIA
Anxiously awaiting the ULTRAFLIX update and the new content. What do we have in store?
Nikedemos is not hyping NTEK as some indicate but he provides validated due diligence. All who claim that he is hyping provide nothing more than hyperbole.
IPMC...count me in for your report. TIA
My one limited post for the day.
Wow. Just changed my settings and now I see what you mean about the last row. I thought you were talking about the fireplace and aquariums. Duh! Lol.

Visited @nanotechent, ultraflix content offering is going to be a great addition, esp if it can run on many platforms. Watch out @UHD4k.
2bornot2b....thanks for your reponses. I have been looking for an android keyboard that would interface with the Nuvola. I have tried my Ipad with bluetooth and for some reason haven't been able to connect. The option with the Mel seems to be the way to go and when I looked up the specs it showed the microphone which prompted by questions. Maybe some of our tech savvy Ntekers have a good option.
IntelligentPMC...keep me on your list for any new videos. Seems everyday I find something new I am able to do on the Nuvola but am unable to share as I don't have your tech savvy. Maybe on your visit to Nanotech land you can suggest that they put up a blog where Ntekers can post their insights or at least a helpful hints column. Looking forward to your debrief on your visit. Thanks always for what you have done and are doing.
Does the microphone on the Mel work with Google talk?
My experience with the NP-1:
Ordered my NP-1 on July 27, 2014 and received my unit on Aug 4, 2014. Opened my box which contained the unit, Nanotech letter and a Kit-Kat bar. Hook up was effortless even for a non-technie. Adjusted my input to the correct HDMI input and away I went. As a preface to this I had an internet connection through AT&T Uverse at a top end download speed of 6mbps. I knew through all the DD I have done that I might have some problem streaming 4k and had decided to upgrade my service through Time Warner and made an appointment to upgrade. But my experience with AT&T follows: Did several speed tests which showed a high of 7mbps with the majority of the tests hitting around 6mbps. I knew through experience that my internet speeds was not continuous and would dip below even 5mbps which often times caused buffering from YouTube through my smart-tv or computer. With the NP-1 attached and running, turned to the YouTube OTT and played a video. Even at my low download speeds it played almost flawlessly with a few buffering issues at times when my connection dropped below the 5mbps (I know this as I had my IPad connected to a speed test and saw the dipping). I was impressed that the NP-1 really helped. I then turned my attention to ULTRAFLIX. Picked the Aquarium to test first. Although not flawless because of my dipping input I was elated with the picture quality even on my Vizio HD. Every now and then there was buffering again when it dipped below 5mbps. Two days later my Time Warner internet was installed with a 16mbps. First test went straight to ULTRAFLIX, absolutely flawless initially and on every connection ever since.
There is so much more on the NP-1. It is not just a streaming device but a net top box. I am still learning about dragging and swiping, opening my mail, etc. There is a learning curve on the air mouse, using wrist only, but experience has won over. A Bluetooth keyboard would definitely help if you use the NP-1 for answering emails and navigating.
There are now only 34 hrs of ULTRAFLIX content which at this point is all free. I surmise that when the full launch is announced there will be a minimum of 1000 hrs.
GLTA to all fellow investors. I believe at this point with the recent Forbes article, Guggenheim, Staples and future stores we are on the threshold of a major upstring. Patience will be a virtue.
IntelligentPMC"....send me the video. TIA
IntelligentPMC. Would appreciate the link to your new video. Have been having fun playing with mine all weekend. There is more that I still don't know and every bit of new knowledge will build on that knowledge.
IntelligentPMC. Please drop your gems. My NP-1 just arrived today and your past posts helped quite a bit in setup. I'm having fun browsing around. Much more here than I expected. Just WOW. Can't wait until my 4k Tv arrives.
I happened to be in Dallas two weeks ago and stopped into Fry's Electronics just to see the 4K TVs. Samsung had a demo on one set with a split screen of 1080/1080. On the demo, the right side morphed into 2060 turning the split screen to 1080/2060 (2K/4K). The difference in clarity was amazing. The picture was of an office and there were books on a shelf. On the 1080 (2K) you could distinguish that there were titles on the book jackets, however, with the 2080 (4K) you could actually read the title of the book. For people to state that 4K would be indistinguishable from 2k is poppycock from my viewpoint. Go NTEK and my NP-1 is due tomorrow.
Just ordered my NP-1. Anxious now for its arrival.
I am definitely interested in the response you get. I read a review somewhere that the person had one but I have yet to see any mention of this product by NTEK. Would be interested as to the availability date.
Device is not streaming and only works with Samsung TV (per Samsung) and they have no content and at the same price. Sorry but I am keeping my Nuvola.
WOW!!!!! Time to order mine. More than I expected. Thanks to borntobe for the demo.
I originally saw the 125 and checked a couple of hours later and it was at zero. Two hours later another 125 and then down to 14. Now we are at 214. As they are upgraded more will be added. So how many have been actually sold is difficult to say but they are selling, much like the NP-1. I know I have seen 10 at least 3 times for the NP-1 and now down to zero, all dollars to our coffers.
I hope the buy back is ongoing. I know they stated that they would be buying back collateral first issues rather than on the market but either way shares will be reduced and there is a possibility they would buy back greater than they budgeted with the influx of cash.
Dividends: sure would be nice if they met their target of $1.02 per thousand shares. That would be awesome.
Go NTEK!!!!!!!
I believe the price increase reflects the cost associated with the Google Play addition, etc. GLTA.
GO NTEK!!!!!
Only you are debating the issue. Those of us who have done their DD know that there is no correlation between the two. Discussion ended.
I like the info on the prepaid 60K units. To me that seems to affirm that cash will be available for the buybacks starting in July and the next dividend in July also, and maybe at the $1.02 per 1,000 shares. Giddy up!
Prove it by showing a link. Conjecture and misinformation is all you have...not a shred of proof.
Divy with little or no NP's sales. It was projected that there would be sales in the first quarter and the divy would be twice the amount. I can foresee that the next quarter divy could be more than the projected 1.02/1000.
Why should he read anything like that. If it is a fairy tale on one side, it is also a fairy tale on the other.
Fallacies again. They do have proven income. Why do you continue posting misinformation?
You are making an assumption. I can make this assumption that the Brazil facility of Foxconn manufactured the Ciao contract which I believe was for some 20,000 units. Some could have been produced in cy2013 and some cy2014. How they account for these units may be up to our CFO. We on the board make many assumptions but only NTEK knows what really is going on. However, that being said, Jeff Foley is buying quite a few shares, millions from what I see, and that is indication enough for me to continue buying.
You obviously have not been doing your DD if you think this is a scam. There are just too many third party endorsements and contracts with major corporations with confirmations from said corporations that only highlight the emergence of NTEK as a major player,
There is no fact in your pronouncement. LMAO.
The long investors are all in the know. A company doesn't win awards, sign contracts with billion dollar companies, etc., etc., etc. without having something.
I totally agree with your post. Once the NP-1 is released to the retailers, and based on past experience, these will be big retailers, the party will start. And this is a global product not just the USA.
I agree about the content and it will come. As 4K becomes the standard those who have established a footprint will do well. If a few contracts come our way, that will solidify us as one of the main players. But our hardware must start the ball rolling with ULTRAFLIX and monthly subscribers which generates constant revenue.
I wish I had a contact to pass info. There have been some prosecutions on spammers in the past by the SEC but not sure at the MICRO CAP level.
I believe NTEK is on the threshold of doing well. However, I do believe they made a strategic mistake last summer. They should have brought out the old Nuvola and then the upgrade. If Apple can do it why couldn't NTEK. I think they could have easily sold 50,000 units and then show the upgrade at CES. JMO
