My experience with the NP-1:
Ordered my NP-1 on July 27, 2014 and received my unit on Aug 4, 2014. Opened my box which contained the unit, Nanotech letter and a Kit-Kat bar. Hook up was effortless even for a non-technie. Adjusted my input to the correct HDMI input and away I went. As a preface to this I had an internet connection through AT&T Uverse at a top end download speed of 6mbps. I knew through all the DD I have done that I might have some problem streaming 4k and had decided to upgrade my service through Time Warner and made an appointment to upgrade. But my experience with AT&T follows: Did several speed tests which showed a high of 7mbps with the majority of the tests hitting around 6mbps. I knew through experience that my internet speeds was not continuous and would dip below even 5mbps which often times caused buffering from YouTube through my smart-tv or computer. With the NP-1 attached and running, turned to the YouTube OTT and played a video. Even at my low download speeds it played almost flawlessly with a few buffering issues at times when my connection dropped below the 5mbps (I know this as I had my IPad connected to a speed test and saw the dipping). I was impressed that the NP-1 really helped. I then turned my attention to ULTRAFLIX. Picked the Aquarium to test first. Although not flawless because of my dipping input I was elated with the picture quality even on my Vizio HD. Every now and then there was buffering again when it dipped below 5mbps. Two days later my Time Warner internet was installed with a 16mbps. First test went straight to ULTRAFLIX, absolutely flawless initially and on every connection ever since.

There is so much more on the NP-1. It is not just a streaming device but a net top box. I am still learning about dragging and swiping, opening my mail, etc. There is a learning curve on the air mouse, using wrist only, but experience has won over. A Bluetooth keyboard would definitely help if you use the NP-1 for answering emails and navigating.

There are now only 34 hrs of ULTRAFLIX content which at this point is all free. I surmise that when the full launch is announced there will be a minimum of 1000 hrs.

GLTA to all fellow investors. I believe at this point with the recent Forbes article, Guggenheim, Staples and future stores we are on the threshold of a major upstring. Patience will be a virtue.
