YES!!! TIME TO SELL
The point of my earlier posts was that even at $.16 per kilowatt that you posted the savings are incredible. The trucking companies well do whatever they must to electrify their fleet and purchase electric semis. Elon’s unexpected announcement is very confidence building to me. Regardless of what for lack of better words I will call distractions his priorities are 100% intact.
The average residential electricity rate in the U.S. is 14.92 per kilowatt-hour (kWh). The average electric price a business customer in the United States pays for electricity is 12.14 cents per kWh
More importantly.
What would happen to the United States if there was a conflict with China?
True in the end not your problem.
Then why preach to us ad nauseam? Motive?
Can someone explain to me why all legacy automobile manufacturers whether European, Japanese or American that have had a minimum of a 50 year headstart and some with over 100 year headstart are all trying close the gap and catch up to Tesla a 10-year-old company.
It mystifies me as much as seeing so many naysayers continually piss into to such a strong headwind.
I AGREE 100%. Peter Principle
Do you have a link for it?
BRILLIANT POST
AMEN
Details emerge of Tesla’s new nemesis
Clearly illustrates how serious that venture into electrification was.
First I've heard of it was 20 some years later from you an employee of Chrysler at the time.
How time critical is our “climate crisis“?
BDW I liken the legacy auto manufacturers to the “horse and buggy zealots” of 120 years ago not Elon Musk. The CEO of BMW latest argument give a glimpse of this "horse and buggy" lunacy. If I were on a boat that was taking on water and I had two choices to keep the boat from sinking by bailing out water. One was a 1 gallon pail and the other was a bilge pump with a capacity greater than the boat was taking on water. Although both methods bailed water I would choose the bilge pump and not ignore the importance of the differences between the two methods.
How time critical is our “climate crisis”?
I wonder what part of “climate in crisis” Oliver Zipse doesn't get. Is he really that stupid or is it he thinks we are that stupid. Reminds me of the days the CEOs of tobacco companies testified in front of Congress.
Great question that doesn't get enough consideration publicly.
The fact that most of the legacy automobile manufacturers have been around for approximately 100 years and are having to play”catch up ball” to the Johnny-come-lately Tesla answers your question. In spite of the dabbling in the past from some of the legacy manufacturers there was not a serious effort until Elon Musk and Tesla appeared. The legacy companies would have continued to manufacture ice engine automobiles indefinitely. No different than the tobacco companies.

A 2017 quote from Elon Musk
Musk said short sellers are “jerks who want us to die.”
Don’t attempt to take the moral high ground as you did in your private response by criticizing those that pump the stock in times of financial uncertainty. Exactly the same thing that you're doing my friend only difference is direction. The pumpers as you call them are predicting higher share price you my friend predicting a lower share price. Only difference is directional. Spare me the lecture about the rules of stock valuations.
Thanks again best of luck to you goodbye.
Last person I want to listen to in times of uncertainty is a short regardless of their pedigree.
Your constant attempt to drive the price of Tesla down clearly demonstrate your motives.
Do not bother to respond to my posts you have been put on the ignore. Thank you and the best of luck to you.
EXACTLY
YES THE WEALTHIER THEY ARE !!!
THE MORE THEY VALUE A STEALTH CURRENCY!!!
Imagine you have a $100 bill in your pocket. You want to break it up and exchange that $100 bill for 5-$20 bills. It still worth $100.
That is a five for one split. No dilution
GREAT ADVICE THEN AND GREAT ADVICE NOW

2+2=4
I understand a story is coming out in the financial press about how Elon Musk mistreats his dog. Who in their right mind would pay any attention to these publications??
Ford is praised over Tesla as being safer by other publications??
Would anybody trusts their family’s safety or their hard earned retirement savings with recommendations from these institutions.
Not me! In my world 2+2 still equals 4
That car appears to be a two door only. New modelY?
Where is Agoura Guy?
Prior to Lucid,Peter Rawlinson CEO of Lucid was Vice President of Vehicle Engineering at Tesla and Chief Engineer of the Model S, where he led the engineering of the Model S from a clean sheet to production readiness while building the engineering team
Looks like Tesla is is becoming the incubator that Oracle has been in Silicon Valley
Wouldn't surprise me that Elon not only knows a lot about Lucid but he may even have a piece of the company himself

The most sobering documentary in regards to China tech versus US tech
" the selloff begins as soon as Merritt starts talking." LOL LOL How true how true.
You said "I would say that no one outside of Nortel and the consortium participants knows what was paid for Nortel's LTE patents". You forgot to include the self appointed geniuses and know it all's on the thread.
I say Tom is getting his clients out of the stock and will come out with a sell in the near future
Could the dollars recent strength be a reason to wait?
