STERLING, Va., March 1, 2010 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- IceWEB, Inc.(TM) (OTC Bulletin Board: IWEB) , www.IceWEB.com, a leading provider of purpose built appliances and building blocks for cloud storage networks, announced today that the Company is preparing to release a solution which provides direct connectivity for Apple iPhone and iPod touch devices to the Company's Iplicity(TM) Consolidated Storage Environment.
Gary Dunham, SVP of Product Development & Engineering for IceWEB stated, "Data is of little use unless it can be as available and as mobile as its users. Iplicity, our innovative storage environment, innovative because it supports all major data access protocol suites, has proven itself in meeting this need for data mobility. There are millions of iPhone, iPod Touch, and (soon to be) Apple iPad(TM) users worldwide. These users come from all walks of life, but in general are business people who rely heavily on these revolutionary devices to keep them connected to their employers, customers, friends and family. The new solution, which will be available shortly, gives full remote access from those devices to any data stored on the Iplicity family of storage products. Remote users can open, download, upload and create files and folders across both WiFi and 3G networks on our storage servers." Dunham continued, "Closed, or wired-only storage systems, as offered by many legacy vendors, are a relic of the past. Business today demands that company employees be able to meet customer requests from wherever they are. Having to tell your customer that you'll send them a file once you get back to the office can often make the difference between closing a deal or not. Intelligence + Simplicity: that's the motto we preach with Iplicity every day. We believe it's intelligent to put data in the hands of our customers wherever they need it."
The new product offering, called IceShare(TM) will be available for purchase and download from the Apple Store, and will also be offered as a corporate site license.

ECO2 Forests Expands Kiri Tree Variants -- Planting in US Expected in Q3 2010
SACRAMENTO, CA, Feb 16, 2010 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- ECO2 Forests Inc. (PINKSHEETS: ECOF) is pleased to announce that it has expanded tree production stock to six (6) variants of the Kiri Tree and expects planting to begin on US soil in Q3 2010.
The Kiri Tree is the selected primary species for the ECO2 Forests Global Forestry Plan that addresses deforestation, increasing atmospheric carbon dioxide levels and the increasing demand for sustainable lumber by developing large scale reforestation projects with a positive environmental and economic impact.
The development, use and know how in creating and selecting specific Kiri Trees for each project is central to the successful implementation of the ECO2 Forests Global Forestry Plan projects around the world, including planned projects under negotiation in the United States of America and the recently announced Malakula Reforestation Project in the South Pacific.
"Ongoing research and development of four new Kiri Tree variants at the company's Research and Development Centre in Queensland, Australia, is intended to ensure the company maintains a forefront position in international renewable forests and carbon sequestration," said Martin Tindall, ECO2 President.
Two Kiri sub species, Fortunei and Elongata, have been mass planted already and are complemented by four variants currently being planted and tested for future projects. These four additional species; Taiwaniana, Australis, Fagesii and Kawakamii may expand the options and viability of ECO2 Forests Global Forestry Plan projects in greater geographic and climatic conditions.
"Each project has its own unique climatic and soil conditions. What will be required here in the US later this year in the third quarter will be different to projects in Australia or the South Pacific," ECO2 Forests Chief Executive Officer Collie Christensen said.
"Using linear selection from derivatives of the species we are able to grow the Kiri Tree variant best suited to those conditions and project. The high quality end product lumber is virtually indistinguishable between variants but the ability to select the ideal variant ensures the tree maximises its carbon sequestration and growth rate. Matching variants to local conditions also aids the longevity of the project over multiple growth and harvest cycles," added Christensen.
The Kiri Tree's superior ability to sequester carbon dioxide (CO2) from the atmosphere positions ECO2 Forests to generate carbon credits rapidly and achieve a positive environmental outcome in a much shorter time frame than other tree species. Over a harvest period of seven years, historic research shows that a single Kiri Tree would typically sequester up to 2.5 tons of CO2 thereby generating up to 2.5 carbon credits for ECO2 Forests. This level of carbon sequestration potentially places the Kiri Tree among the highest sequestering trees currently being grown around the world.
Further to the CO2 sequestering abilities of ECO2's Kiri Trees, is its ability to grow 20 feet (6 meters) in its first season and a height of 80 feet (25m) and diameter of 20-inches (50 centimeters) in as little as seven years. The natural fast growth capability of the Kiri Tree is aided by the linear selection techniques and the employment of ECO2 planting and growing methodologies under the Global Forestry Plan. The combination of all this makes the Kiri Tree, after seven years, ready for harvest; a fraction of the time compared to many of its competitors.
Lumber from the seven year sustainable harvest cycle contains minimal defects and is used across a wide range of industries; from fine furniture manufacturers, interior decorations and trimming, courtesy of its natural beauty and workability through to the boating industry for framing due to the high strength to weight ratio.
Lumber quantity, through the fast growth and high density planting methodologies, from one thousand acres of Kiri Tree grown under the Global Forestry Plan is projected to yield over 40 million board feet of lumber (95,000m3) every seven year sustainable harvest. Current lumber prices for Kiri range from USD$2.00 to $4.00 per board foot, depending on quality.
Approximately 3 million trees are intended to be planted over a seven year cycle in the planned Malakula Reforestation Project. ECO2 projects that under the sustainable Global Forestry Plan that the Kiri Tree may yield 100 million board feet (237,000m3) annually after just seven years, with annual revenue forecast in excess of US $260 million.
A natural ability of the Kiri Tree to regenerate from the stump after harvest provides the final and sustainable factor in determining the Kiri Tree as the ideal species for the Global Forestry Plan. Post harvest, the Kiri Tree grows a new stem from the stump which, in another seven years, will again be ready for harvest and generate up to 2.5 carbon credits for ECO2 Forests. This regenerative cycle allows the Global Forestry Plan to yield up to 10 cycles from a single plantation before the need for replanting.
Sustainability is central to the economic and environmental appeal of the Kiri Tree's use within the Global Forestry Plan.
About ECO2 Forests Inc. ECO2 Forests is a progressive international forestation company focused on reforestation of previously damaged and deforested land and the saving of existing threatened forests through sustainable reforestation, afforestation and avoided deforestation projects for the generation and sale of carbon credits and sustainable timber to global markets.
ECO2 Forests has the ability to remove significant amounts of CO2 from the atmosphere through projects operated under the Global Forestry Plan and use of the unique and sustainable Kiri Tree, a high CO2 sequestering tree that generates carbon credits. ECO2 Forests produces revenue by selling those carbon credits to a third party or through a carbon market. Additional revenue is created through the sale of the sustainable lumber from the Kiri Tree every 7-year harvest. The Kiri Tree then naturally re-grows after each harvest.
Headquartered in Sacramento, California, the Company has adopted an 'E4 Philosophy' to achieve positive Environmental, Economic, Employment and Educational outcomes through its reforestation projects.

ECO2 Forests Projects Receives Vanuatu Government Approval
SACRAMENTO, CA and QUEENSLAND, AUSTRALIA, Feb 09, 2010 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- ECO2 Forests Inc. (PINKSHEETS: ECOF), is pleased to announce that is has received Government approval from the Vanuatu Investment Promotion Authority (VIPA) to conduct their Reforestation Project on the island of Malakula.
Approval from VIPA, the national government authority, officially recognizes that the ECO2 Forests Malakula project meets the criteria set by the Government that the project is of benefit to the people and environment of Vanuatu and is compliant with all regulations.
The VIPA approval and support expressed by the Malampa Council for ECO2 Forests now allows for the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), the final step in the planning and approval process, to be completed.
The Government of Vanuatu stipulates that all foreign companies wishing to trade, work or establish any sort of enterprise in Vanuatu apply for and receive VIPA approval. Central to the approval process, VIPA assesses the benefit and impact the project has with the environment and the growth of Vanuatu and its people, including the employment it will create.
ECO2 Forests intends to create in excess of 300 full time jobs, sourced from the local community on Malakula, an island currently limited in employment opportunities. These permanent positions are forecast to expand as the project grows and is planned to continue over multiple generations. ECO2 Forests intends to deliver world class education in sustainable forestry and forest preservation to entire families and communities in Vanuatu.
In the approval letter from the VIPA Board, dated 15th January 2010, it was noted "that these forests remove large amounts of Carbon Dioxide from the atmosphere and are a significant contributor to the mitigation of global warming."
"In November 2009, we visited with representatives of the National Advisory Committee on Climate Change, the then Minister of Agriculture and senior representatives of the Malampa Provincial Council, where positive discussions focussed on future opportunities of working with the local communities. These meetings attended by ECO2 executives were centered on ensuring positive economic, environmental, educational and employment outcomes for Vanuatu and its communities, which is specifically consistent with our own E4 Philosophy," Chief Operating Officer Ray Smith said.
"In addition to the approval of the Vanuatu Investment Promotion Authority, we have presented the project to the full provincial council and custom land owners and they indicated in writing their support for the project. Project information has also been supplied to other government officials interested in supporting the project," added Smith.
"The approval and support of the government and provincial counsel recognizes the long-term positive social, economic and environmental impact that the ECO2 Forests project will have for Vanuatu."
"Infrastructure developments and upgrades for the local community will aim to provide improved access and facilities. Incorporating cultural aesthetics in all design and development will enable communities to maintain their traditions and way of life," ECO2 Founder Martin Tindall commented.
The Malakula Reforestation Project is intended to provide environmental benefits for the entire country and the world through the sequestration of over 7 million tons of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere in every seven year harvest cycle. The sustainable nature of the reforestation project will also negate the need to log old growth and rain forests in Vanuatu, preserving the natural beauty of the Vanuatu islands for generations to come.

NEWS:
Global Clean Energy, Inc. Reports First Tests of Its Hybrid Steam-Reforming Gasifier Successful
HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwire - January 25, 2010) - Global Clean Energy, Inc. (OTCBB: GCEI) has carried out the first series of testing of its experimental scale hybrid steam-reforming gasifier. The tests were performed at Cascade Engineering and Projects in Kingsey Falls, Quebec. Cascade Engineering has built the only functioning steam gasification plant in North America and is Global Clean Energy's engineering, procurement and construction partner.
In this series of tests, the gasifier was brought up to gasification temperature at 60% of full electrical load and even maintained that temperature well after shutdown. At gasification temperature the equipment reacted extremely well to the various data inputs.
The next series of tests will be conducted on-site at Salaberry-de-Valleyfield in premises set up for full installation, gas-capture and venting. With the assistance of Concordia University, scientific analysis will be conducted on municipal waste material to determine their characteristics for gasification into synthetic gas.
Recently, GCEI has received several international inquiries from various multinational corporations interested in performing tests and analysis on their various waste products. Upon completion of testing, GCE will have proven gas sampling and bioconversion rates for multiple feedstocks.
Results of these gasification tests will be available by the end of first quarter 2010.
"Our steam-reforming gasifier's hybrid design will allow us to test and gasify a wide variety of waste feedstock including biomass, organic waste, coal, industrial waste and even high temperature material such as medical waste," said Philip Azimov, GCE Chief Scientific Officer. "We are excited to showcase our technology and to begin serious scientific testing and analysis for our customers."
Steam-Reforming Gasification is an eco-friendly alternative to landfills with the additional benefit of being self-sustaining and/or providing a renewable fuel source. This is one of the major criteria for the company's partnership previously announced with the municipality of Salaberry-de-Valleyfield.
