It's Goldlake. And Goodluck for us shareholders. This agreement means we will see the stock move up and up.
SLTA Soltera Mining's day has finally come. Check out the trading over the past couple weeks. They should be announcing financing and big strategic partner next week. 8K regarding this long awaited news was filed with SEC today but news release I would imagine Mon or Tues: http://biz.yahoo.com/e/100618/slta.pk8-k.html
Here's the latest update on their golden opportunity - Soltera's President interviewed about plan to start immediate gold production in Argentina: http://bit.ly/d7d8qj
Catch this one if you can....

They filed the 8K today but no news release. I guess they will put over the wires early next week? $1.5M for now but with warrants adding up to $6M in total. This is enough money for them to get the most out of the immediate gold production and the gold exploration. Remember they still have those huge gold anomalies (2x4km) to test and a 14km gold vein system mineralised throughout. That's the real prize here.
This has been a long time coming. Almost two years running on empty and now we get to Go For The Gold! Couldn't be during a better gold market. Delays can sometimes work in ones favor.
8K out today on SLTA re: financing done and new partners but no news release? Monday worth watching. Read update from President over the weekend: http://bit.ly/d7d8qj
They announced the potential of doubling the production rate of the existing processing plant in their last news release. If that is possible then they are looking at 400 oz per month which at today's prices is close to half a million dollars per month in immediate gold revenues. They have to give 10% of this to the titleholder as part of the deal to get the surface mining rights and the plant, but still this is enough income to guarantee they won't ever run out of money again. I love this "little stocks that could" story. Go Soltera! Good volume today.
You are right. Hold this one. They HAVE (not are looking for) over $30 BILLION in the ground and this stock is worth so much more than what today's market wants to show. So hold hold hold. If you need the money to buy something else out there then sell and be sure to come back because it's obvious we are a select few who are wise to the value of this stock so it will probably be here for a while waiting for you to return.
But keep an eye on it. If it starts to move up get back in asap. Things like this can get away on you real fast.
JMHO
I've been a shareholder for over two years on this roller coaster ride. Here's my understanding of things...
SLTA could not raise exploration financing in late 2008 when the world fell apart. Not only couldn't they explore this obviously gold-rich property, they couldn't cover the filing costs for the exchange.
They fell from the OTC Bulletin Board to the Pink Sheets by being late three times with filings to the SEC back in 2008. (Remember the SLTA.E name change for a while there? The "E" stands for extension as in deadline.
They tried to get financing throughout 2009 to no avail. The Caveat Emptor status was then put on them for being over 12 months late on SEC filings. They ran out of money and for too long just treaded water - the slow death of many an exploration company.
The pps fell to 5 cents and stayed there throughout this 'hibernation' period of over a year and a half. They batoned the hatches, dropping their two Mexican properties but managing to make all payments to keep exploration rights over El Torno and Eureka in Argentina.
Realizing that financing was not available anytime soon, not wanting to lose this war of attrition, they decided to go for immediate small-scale gold production to get out of the situation.
If you read the past news release you will see that what's happening now is Fabio Montanari managed to negotiate with the titleholder of El Torno to assign to Soltera surface mining rights over the gold-rich alluvial section of the gold vein, and 100% control of the gold processing gravity concentration plant which the titleholder was working himself up until 3 years ago when his health failed him. (In essence SLTA has ownership of this gold processing plant since they get it if/when production stops or does not proceed.) The photos you referred to are of this plant during test runs of the system back in April.
The titleholder gets 10% of the gold output from this plant. Also in the deal, Soltera managed to extend their exploration rights over Eureka. Pretty good negotiating if you ask me. To get assigned mining rights without having to go through the usual years of licensing procedures is pretty cool. I guess both being Italian they did it over some very good red wine. But if you look back at how long ago this was mentioned in releases you will see that it took more than just good red wine - it took patience, for us shareholders that are still holding on.
So we now look forward to Soltera starting up alluvial surface gold production to the tune of conservatively $200,000 per month sometime soon. With this income they will never again have the prospect of running on empty, and they can get to all those filings which they intend to do as soon as financing and/or gold revenues allow since they remain a fully-reporting issuer (albeit late!) and will work on re-listing on the Bulletin Board.
It's been a long time coming, but this El Torno is an amazing gold property; that's why a top-draw economic geologist who has worked with majors for over 25 years is living with his young family on the property for almost three years. This is his Eldorado.
It really can't be called a "prospect" since we know already from Penoles/Puma work it has a minimum 500,000 oz in a tiny section and potentially 2M oz according the world's largest silver miner. It includes 1000m of historic shafts dating from the Incas to the Jesuits. It has an alluvial operation working up to 2 years ago and conservatively capable of producing 200 oz/month. It includes two huge and very strong gold geochem anomalies that have already been stated as potential open-pit mines; and that coming from Fabio Montanari who basically wrote the book in Italy on modern geochem techniques.
If you read the full El Torno Report they have on their homepage you can see all of this in one document. Also, I call their 800# (it's on the site) every now and then and usually get someone to bring me up to date on things.
I think this is a golden opportunity like no other out there. The timing and price are perfect to get in now (or one month ago when it was still 5 cents). I first got in at 40 cents and have since added more at 5 cents and again at 15 cents. My average price now is around where it is now 20 cents. I now look forward to making some money as they start to generate revenue, news and secure financing for future exploration of this, our Eldorado.

That must be from an old article. Fabio Montanari's timing for has been put off by two years thanks to the 2008-2009 financial collapse. The last thing anyone could finance during that meltdown was exploration work. That's how the stock managed to drop to the ultra-low prices. That's also hoe SLTA managed to drop from the OTCBB to the Pink Sheets. But this Pheonix is about to rise from the ashes in a big way. Best thing about an economic meltdown is getting cheap stock!!!
Did anyone else just get their email regarding the interview of Fabio Montanari? Really good place to get all the latest info on them is at www.twitter.com/SolteraMining You don't need a Twitter account to access all the info and links. Just bookmark that page.

SLTA Soltera Mining now trading above 20 cents. It was 5 cents just a month ago. Volume has been good as well. They should be announcing funding and actual gold production soon: http://bit.ly/d7d8qj

It's over these next few weeks that they will be telling the world they are now in production. SLTA.PK Here's the scoop from the horse's mouth: http://bit.ly/d7d8qj
Check out the analytics as of end of trading today. We are clear skied with lots of support behind us. Just need to get the news that they have raised funds and are starting gold production. I like the way it's been trading all the way from 5 cents to 16 cents - easy-easy catchy monkey!

Keith Good question. EGZ shot their best bullets and got no where. Either they get some IR/PR started or that pps is only going to tread water or sink to 30 cents over the next 3-4 weeks. While SLTA is expected to announce gold production within that same period. Do you in-and-out like that? I am a buy-and-hold when it comes to both of these exploration stocks, but if you wanted a short term flip my money is on Soltera Mining for sure.
Holding well here but you're right, a little volume and this could jump to 25 cents real fast. Look at the analytics...

Sierra Leon? Oi Vey! Talk about an ugly country to do business in. They are still in that civil war aren't they?

... so forget seeing any IR/promotion to support it. It's now a bread and butter deal so it will take a big miracle to get it anywhere above where it already is - loss of $66k last year and tiny gold output so far. Tiny 40 square kilometer mining concession located on the North Pampana River in Sierra Leone doesn't have any potential that I can see after my ten minutes' DD.

Argentina is no "developing country" It was the world's 6th largest economy at one stage. Rules over mining are governed by each state: Patagonia being a terrible place to mine due to environmental issues (Patagonia is one of the world's most wonderful natural places left); and Jujuy being the most mining-friendly state in all of South America since nothing their BUT gold and copper mines. Up at 3000m very little wildlife and no industry but mining. No chance of nationalization of mines due to conservative pro-business federal government. Soltera has a nice overview of Argentina on their homepage:

Hope this helps.
Wow! Gold closed at a record high today. that now makes it more like a quarter million dollars per month in revenues from this little surficial gold operation. Not bad considering no one wanted to finance exploration. They will change their minds once they see the yellow metal flowing out of that plant.
Just pick the gold up off the ground when there's that much....
Keep on eye on SLTA on the Pinks. Here's why:
Investors can watch the video of Soltera Mining’s gold processing operation during initial tests held last week in Argentina: http://bit.ly/aUh1J6
I think you did your math wrong. They stated 2000 oz of Au in a ten month year. So that works out to 200 oz per month = $200,000 per month. not per day. But I like your numbers better! lol

Keep in mind people, this video of the plant running is just the test run they did at the end of April. The plant is not running full time just yet. If you call the company they can explain in more detail, but basically I was told they want to add a 'spiral' to this system to catch more of the fine gold which should increase gold recovery by a considerable amount. They wouldn't or couldn't give numbers but they are pretty excited about all this. I think the timing could not be better for anyone out there still thinking about getting in on this still undiscovered gold PRODUCER to be. IMHO
Check out the analytics. They say if we get past 16 cents we'll see 25 cents overnight!

Q&A Interview with Gold Stock Soltera Mining Corp. (OTCPK: SLTA); a History of an Argentina Gold Mine
April 29, 2010 - www.InvestorIdeas.com and its leading mining investor portals, www.Gold-MiningStocks.com and www.MiningSectorStocks.com release a Q&A interview Dr. Fabio Montanari, President/CEO of Soltera Mining Corp. (OTCPK:SLTA.) FRANKFURT: SN7) for interested investors.
The Company recently reported it had entered into two agreements with the El Torno mineral title owner, which combined give Soltera the right to mine surficial gold at El Torno, in northern Argentina, in addition to certain exploration rights over a prospective gold & copper area, Sur Eureka.
Dr. Fabio Montanari has an international mining career for over twenty-five years, including senior experience spearheading advanced exploration and mining activities in Africa, South America, Europe, Canada and the United States for a host of internationally recognized exploration and mining companies including: Asarco (US), Golden Star (UK), ENI Group (Italy) and Normabec (CAN). Dr. Montanari has also been a geological consultant to the United Nations under the U.N. Technology Cooperation Schemes.
Q- Investorideas.com
Dr. Fabio Montanari, with your global experience in the mining community, investors would ask – why this location and this mine?
A- Dr. Fabio Montanari, President/CEO of Soltera Mining Corp
When I arrived in Argentina in 1996, I reviewed more than 45 mining projects on behalf of a junior mining company from Canada. The junior company decided on pursuing the most promising of these projects but, after the BRE-X crisis of 1997, they were obliged to leave Argentina because it was impossible at that time to obtain funding. The projects then became free and I began to search for investors because I really believed in the properties. These properties were El Torno (gold) and Eureka (gold-copper).
Argentina is a wonderful country. I am Italian and more than 50% of the people here are of Italian origin, which makes it easier for me, but anyway, you can not change the location of a mine: I have evaluated many other projects around the world but I had not found one more promising than El Torno.
Q- Investorideas.com
And following our first question, the El Torno Project is a past producing gold mine. Can you give investors some of its history and what has transpired to take the company to its current status as a gold producer?
A- Dr. Fabio Montanari, President/CEO of Soltera Mining Corp
The mine is very old. It was exploited by the Incas and Jesuits; the indigenous peoples knew of the gold in this area as it was easy to exploit.
More recently, the titleholder was crushing and concentrating the ore near the principal vein with a jaw crusher, a ball mill and a shaking table and was able to recover substantial amounts of gold.
When I started the project it seemed easy to raise funds for exploration so I did not attempt to immediately exploit. I am convinced that El Torno can be a world-class mine, and after the geochemical exploration results and the structural survey accomplished last year, it appears that we could be comparable in some ways to Cerro Vanguardia, the well known Anglo Ashanti gold mine in the south of Argentina.
After the crisis of 2008 it was difficult to raise funds for exploration, so I reached an agreement with the titleholder to exploit the eluvial part of the mine, which I am confident will be very inexpensive and productive. We intend to use part of the revenue generated from this surface mining to test the large-scale open-pit and underground targets that we have already identified. For example, the notes of the geological map of the province report that samples of the rock in the sides of the principal vein contain as high as 110 g/ton of gold. We will be testing the extent of this mineralization by geophysics, sampling and drilling.
Q- Investorideas.com
Can you tell investors what other mining companies (majors) are in the area for comparisons?
A- Dr. Fabio Montanari, President/CEO of Soltera Mining Corp
Rio Doce Argentina (CRVD Brazil owned) with more than 5 mining concessions, Minera Aguilar (Xstrata owned) with at least 2 concessions, Cardero Resources, Yamana Gold and other very large companies are on our license border. However, our El Torno property is the only one in the area with an historic gold mine. Our impressive neighbors have licenses over huge areas but without old gold or copper mines. I think they are hoping we might leave our concessions. In fact, back in the 1990’s Penoles and Codelco started exploration on our properties but failed to reach an agreement with the titleholder before their initial results proved so successful. Trying to negotiate terms after their results were in proved impossible. Good thing for us. I learned from their mistake and managed to negotiate our exploration agreement up front.
Q- Investorideas.com
As you transition to gold producer some key factors to success moving forward would include infrastructure in the surrounding area in addition to corporate funding. Can you tell us what is in place for the company today and plans moving forward?
A- Dr. Fabio Montanari, President/CEO of Soltera Mining Corp
We have a gravitational concentration plant in place and we recently restarted the plant to find it is in perfect condition ready to produce gold. We have a 6500 volt electricity line only 8 km from the actual plant and less than 5 km from the project; we have a river with perennial water at 200 meters from the plant and a big river, marking the border between Bolivia and Argentina 5 km to the north of our project.
Also, there is a vibrant long existing local gold trade allowing us to sell un-smelted gold directly from the eluvial project at very good rates. Everything we could need is right there. We are in Andes “gold country” after all. A bus line terminates at Santa Catalina Village only 11 km from the property. You can easily come to visit me on the project if you like.
Q- Investorideas.com
Based on the exploration work done to date, what is the potential for Soltera’s properties?
A- Dr. Fabio Montanari, President/CEO of Soltera Mining Corp
The market does not respond much to geochemical prospecting, which is what I have been doing here for the past two years; but I have more than 20 years experience with this methodology and from what I have analyzed to date, the potential of the El Torno project is very big.
My short-term goal is to gain an immediate and self-sustaining source of revenue from the eluvial operation, but the real prize is in furthering exploration of the gold vein system as well as the large geochemical gold anomalies discovered last year. We are currently sourcing financing for this exploration work, but in the meantime we will have enough income to go it alone until funding is secured.
More info about Showcase Gold Mining Stock Soltera Mining Corp.(OTCPK: SLTA FRANKFURT: SN7):
Soltera Mining Corp. is a unique exploration company in the sense that it is following two distinct lines of action. The first is conventional, with exploration concentrated on two carefully selected gold and base metal projects in Argentina, particularly the large-scale El Torno gold project in Jujuy. The second, less conventional action is to finance immediate small-scale gold production from a specific section of the 14 km gold-quartz vein at El Torno.

Fabio Montanari answers a bunch of important questions in an interview yesterday: check it out...
Q&A Interview with Gold Stock Soltera Mining Corp. (OTCPK: SLTA); a History of an Argentina Gold Mine
Point Roberts, WA - April 29, 2010 - www.InvestorIdeas.com and its leading mining investor portals, www.Gold-MiningStocks.com and www.MiningSectorStocks.com release a Q&A interview Dr.

Trading all day at 11 cents. If they start producing gold within three weeks as their release states then this thing should see the low 20's in early May. Gotta love it!
The most important difference to appreciate is that the cost of extraction at the URST deposit is around $2/lb of V2O5 because it is sediment-hosted. The stuff is in sandstone! You just have to bulk leach it out in-situ. ALL other deposits of merit out there are volcanic intrusives requiring crushing and magnetic separation which brings cost to $6/lb. Then there is the infrastructure costs. We are sooooo lucky to have the rail/road/shipping system being built for us by our coal mining neighbors.
NiPlat's deposit is much much bigger than ours, and the grades are excellent, but they may still not be economical to develop due to the cost of extraction. The Green Giant will be the game changer. The stock will be $10 or more and we will all remember this one for a long time.
If you phone their 800# and press 1 for IR you can talk directly with the company.
They have some exciting announcements coming fast. They expect to get the first gold out within 1 month (but they were conservative in the release and said 2 months). They are confident they can get a minimum of 200 oz in that first month. There is no need to smelter or ship the gold since there is a very active gold market right there in that mine-rich part of N.W. Argentina. So instant money! They then will give top priority to using that cash to get all their past filings up to date so they can get off the Pinks and re-apply for the OTC.
Their CEO/President, Fabio Montanari, is a top-notch economic geologist for hire who has dedicated the past three years of his life to this El Torno gold project. Even moving his family to live there and had a new baby while on the side of the mountain. He knows this property will make him very very rich. Hopefully us too.
Looks like clear skies once we bust through 39/40. If it's done with enough volume who knows where we could be. But, it seems these guys are keeping things very quiet still and will until the TSX listing is officially announced. Then I'd imagine a few news releases will follow regarding more results from assays and from the chemistry work. So, it feels like we're all rolled up into a little ball sitting in a slingshot just waiting for the dude to let us fly.
Here's the 8K on this filing: http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1302084/000113717110000165/energizer8k03192010.htm
Dundee put out a nice news release. There's a link to it on the URST Twitter page: http://www.twitter.com/EnergizerResInc
"Understatement" is an understatement. This stock is being held back by those evil market makers for the last month. Once we get on the TSX the reality of the Green Giant will EXPLODE! And I don't care what they add to the gas tank... I do like laughing gas though!
Two exploration stocks ready to pop very soon...
URST.OB
This stock should see a nice jump in pps once they are listed on the TSX-V. This should happen by end of this month or soon thereafter. They have some downward pressure right now due to recent financing at 30 cents but once on Canadian exchange watch this one fly to $1-$2 very quickly.
SLTA.PK
Top geologists run Soltera. Dr. Montanari & Dr. Ashworth have worked for everyone from BHP to Asarco (US), Golden Star (UK), ENI Group (Italy) and Normabec (Canada).
The reason their stock has been stuck in the toilet for 2 years is their CFO failed them by missing filing deadlines in 2008, then the bottom fell out of the world of finance and they couldn't raise funds even to do the filings; so the late filings became very late filings which landed them at 5cents and on the bottom of the Pinks.
All they need to raise is something like $200,000 to get the filings up to date, and get some gold out of their flagship Argentine gold property. They are very close to doing exactly that. Not often do you have a 5cent gold explorer instantly becoming a gold producer. Now is the perfect time to pick up a little at under 10cents.
I like this comment to that article...
Energizer Resources' 200 mega tone vanadium target in Madagascar is sediment-hosted and, if the chemistry proves right, it could be bulk leached giving an all-in cost of under $3/lb V2O5. This single deposit alone could supply decades of low-cost vanadium to the world. You are correct in pointing out that uncertainty of supply and price is the main thing holding back the many uses of vanadium in batteries. Energizer's low-cost mega deposit could be the game changer.
