Hey buddy! Thanks for the message.
It's been a crazy couple of years for me. Some major life changes and no extra funds for investing. I took a step back from the forum but check in occasionally to see what is happening.
I still have a bunch of QTMM shares and am excited to see some movement and some promising developments recently. I may even buy a few more shares in the near future if finances permit.
Thanks for the responses guys - be good to Oakslem!
Thanks for that guys. Still holding all my shares and will look in from time to time.
Thanks for the positive feedback guys.
Looks like it's going to be an interesting ride here over the next few months.
Due to personal commitments (good ones!), I will no longer be moderating the board. I would like to wish all of you good fortune with your investments here and elsewhere.
Thanks for your contributions over the years,
Geoff

MagneGas Initiates Production of New Class of Plasma Arc Through Refineries for High Volume Production of Metal Cutting MagneGas
MagneGas Corporation ("MagneGas" or the "Company") (OTCBB: MNGA), the producer of a technology that converts liquid waste into a hydrogen-based metal working fuel and natural gas alternative, announced today the completion of all research and development on a new generation of Plasma Arc Through™ ("PAT") Refineries for the local production of the metal cutting MagneGas™ Fuel wherever and whenever desired. For both the Company and clients this could mean a significant reduction in the costs (logistical, insurance and others) associated with the transportation and storage of metal working fuels.
"I am pleased to announce to both our customers and shareholders the completion of all necessary R&D on, and the initiation of regular production of, the new series of European Certified PAT Refineries," stated Dr. Ruggero Santilli, CEO of MagneGas Corporation and the initiator of the Technology. "The Refineries are available to our customers with power ranging from 100 kWh to 300 kWh and in various configurations, be they floor mounted or trailer mounted for mobility. These MagneGas™ Refineries are based on our previously announced, fully owned Patent Application on the novel PAT process. This process has distinct advantages over the preceding Plasma Arc Flow™ process, including a significant increase in the volume of MagneGas™ produced for a given power, reducing variable operating costs and thus potentially increasing net margins."
MagneGas has made available a brochure presenting the new series of PAT Refineries, including production data and purchase prices -- to view the brochure please visit www.magnegas.com/newsandpictures.html.

MagneGas Nears Mexico Market Introduction
MagneGas Corporation ("MagneGas" or the "Company") (OTCBB: MNGA), the producer of a technology that converts liquid waste into a hydrogen-based metal working fuel and natural gas alternative, announced today that it is has amended its non-binding Memo of Understanding ("MOU") with Inmobiliaria Grupo Corporativo S.A. de C.V. ("IGC") of Mexico, now doing business as Green Planet Aid ("GPA"). Pursuant to the amended MOU, GPA reaffirms its intent to purchase its first 300 kW Refinery from the Company, thereby securing exclusive distribution rights for the Mexican market for an initial five-year period.
MagneGas has completed its first next-generation wastewater sterilization Refinery and is currently testing its operation at a local municipality. The Company expects these tests to be complete and their analysis available within the next 30 days. Assuming favorable results, GPA has further expressed its intent to complete the purchase immediately thereafter. GPA engineers and technicians would then receive comprehensive training on the Refinery at Company headquarters in Tarpon Springs, FL; the training would help ensure smooth market introduction and optimal ongoing operation.

Ladies, gentlemen and peasants; please give a warm welcome to our newest assistant moderator EMTPstock, who has kindly volunteered to help copytech and me keep the rest of you under control.
Thanks EMTPstock!
Thanks PoemStone. OOIL might see a bit of action here today in response to the news.
OriginOil Secures First Institutional Financing
OriginOil, Inc. (OOIL), the developer of a breakthrough technology to extract oil from algae and an emerging leader in the global algae oil services industry, today announced it has entered into a definitive convertible notes purchase agreement with certain institutional investors, for an aggregate purchase price of $1.0 million. The closing of the sale of the notes is anticipated to occur on or about July 11, 2011, subject to customary closing conditions.
"This financing represents our first institutional investment round," commented Riggs Eckelberry, OriginOil's CEO. "We are pleased to be working with the premier Wall Street investment firm, Rodman & Renshaw, for this and future financings."
The Company has commercialized its unique, patent-pending algae harvesting technology and recently signed its first order from MBD Energy, for a large-scale algae extraction system to be installed at the first of three commercial 'CO2 to Energy' power station projects in Australia. The purchase order followed recent successful trials of OriginOil's extraction system at MBD research facilities.
The new system on order is one of the largest next-generation extraction systems of its kind. The equipment is expected to process up to 1100 liters (300 gallons) per minute of algae culture continuously, enough to process the daily harvest at MBD's upcoming one hectare (2.5 acre) site at Queensland's Tarong power station.
The company discussed its path to commercialization in a presentation to the National Algae Association, documented in this video.
OriginOil recently announced its intention to up-list its shares to trade on a senior U.S. securities exchange. The successful IPO of US algae producer Solazyme points to strong institutional investor demand for algae stocks.
Rodman & Renshaw, LLC, a subsidiary of Rodman & Renshaw Capital Group, Inc., (NASDAQ:RODM - News), acted as the exclusive placement agent for this transaction. For more information, please visit www.rodm.com.
A summary of the transaction will be included in the Company's current report on Form 8-K to be filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Yeah - I was pretty pleased to see that; great days ahead for shareholders there I believe.
I love investing in young companies like Originoil and Solterra - the potential for making money with a clean conscience gives me a real buzz. I could probably have made more money in fossil fuels and arms dealers but I don't think I could sleep at night.
Sorry for my lack of contributions here and on the other - I've been crazy busy recently and will be for the next few months at least.
No problem Free - thanks for the response.
No takers for assistant moderator then?
I'll look forward to reading the results of your endeavours.
By the way, I'm an Irish citizen but Canadian permanent resident so can identify with some of the problems of trying to operate in two different worlds at the same time.
You're welcome.
It's good to see a bit of life on the board these days. It was pretty quiet for most of last year but the company's higher profile these days seems to have brought it more attention.
Originoil in my opinion continues to represent an excellent investment opportunity.
Much has been made on this board of the company's promotional activites, Riggs' salary and the proposed uplisting. Questioning is good. I too have lost thousands on "sure thing" investments in companies which exist only to line the pockets of a scam artist CEO.
OOIL and Riggs, do not, I sincerely believe, fall into that category. We have a technology which appears to work. That technology needs to be promoted and it seems that our CEO has done an excellent job of getting our name out there. Try a google search for "algae extraction technology" or a similar phraseology and see what company's name appears again and again. While this in itself does not mean that Originoil is a solid investment, it is just one example of the work Riggs and crew have done to create a high profile for the company. Our technology has received coverage at numerous conferences and has won a number of awards in its field.
More important however than the publicity is the effectiveness of the technology. As another poster pointed out recently - one may be able to fool naive investors by flashy PRs; it is more difficult to pull the wool over the eyes of multi billion dollar energy companies. Those who doubt the veracity of OOIL's claims may do well to further research the contract we have with MBD in Australia. Originoil's future will depend solely on succeeding with projects such as this - so far it's looking good.
I'm going to let the posts about CERP stand as they are just about on topic. OOIL themselves made the initial comparison I believe so some discussion of that company is fair game. Bear in mind though that this is the Originoil board so all comments should relate to OOIL in some way.

Great discussion here guys - keep it going but remember that comments about the motives of other posters is considered off topic under iHub's Terms of Usage.
Feel free to get stuck into the company and CEO for their perceived shortcomings (although you're wrong of course!) but please keep your thoughts on other members of this board to yourselves.
Thanks folk,
Red
You're welcome. This is Riggs' (CEO's) email address -
riggs@originoil.com
I think that depends on the rules of the exchange to which one is applying. I contacted the company with some questions and will hopefully have a response to share on the board.
People tend to get a bit anxious about splits but if a RS is required to move up, then I have no big problem with it. OOIL's future will depend on its ability to generate revenue - the share structure is of secondary importance compared to that.
Another great strategic move from OOIL. I will be interested to hear details on how and when they plan to meet their goal.
Astute observation future1 - you may well be right on that.
Wow - that is a healthy position! If you can afford it, the private placement deal may be right for you - contact OOIL for more info.
OriginOil to Up-List Shares to Trade on a Senior U.S. Securities Exchange
http://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20110622005660/en/OriginOil-Up-List-Shares-Trade-Senior-U.S.-Securities
OriginOil, Inc. (OOIL), the developer of a breakthrough technology to extract oil from algae and an emerging leader in the global algae oil services industry, today announced its intention to up-list its shares to a senior U.S. securities exchange.
"Solazyme's highly successful recent IPO shows there is strong institutional investor demand for algae stocks," said Riggs Eckelberry, OriginOil CEO. "Our move to a national exchange will allow us greater access to capital from institutional investors which will help us meet increasing worldwide demand for our unique algae extraction technology."
Algae producer Solazyme, Inc. raised more than $200 million in its recent IPO to help fund its own commercialization process.
According to a Reuters story on the public offering, "…Solazyme is looking to commercialize its fuel technology in the 2013 time frame, with a production cost target of $60 to $80 per barrel. To get there, it will have to build a commercial-scale algae plant, which can cost more than $100 million."
"In our discussions with leading algae producers, it's become clear that they need our chemical-free and low-energy dewatering and cracking process to meet commercial scale requirements," said Paul Reep, OriginOil's Senior VP of Technology. "We occupy a unique position in the fast-growing algae industry and our move to a national exchange will help facilitate our delivery of systems and proprietary technology to key customers."
OriginOil recently announced an order for a large-scale algae extraction system from MBD Energy, Ltd. (MBD), a leading solutions provider in the field of industrial CO2 waste management. The order follows recent trials of OriginOil's equipment focused on optimizing capacity to handle large volumes of algae continuously.
Still here in the background. Things have been very busy in Mooseworld recently so I haven't been posting much.
Still watching and holding all my OOIL shares though.
copytech - you're alive!
What did you think of the PR?
This is an interesting analysis -
http://www.hotstocked.com/article/8691/an-interesting-session-coming-for-magnegas-corp.html
Knowing the company though, I think the current situation is more positive than the article shows. They have a good record, for example, on following through with their commitments and I think we have a great chance of seeing the partnership come to fruition.
It also shows that $5000 was paid for a promotion in conjunction with the PR - I think we need our money back!
Yesterday's trading was disappointing but MNGA has a habit of rallying at strange times - it is possible that today may be a bigger day than yesterday. As you said the price staying at this level gives an opportunity for long term holders to add to their positions before the world wakes up to this company's potential.
I still think the news was excellent and the deal, if it comes off, is a game changer for both company and shareholders.
Now, need to rustle up some pennies to add to my position ....
Hi Allen - welcome to the OOIL board.
In my experience, Investor relations groups are not, ironically, the best source of information for investors - particularly when it comes to more technical queries.
May I suggest that you redirect your question to the CEO - riggs@originoil - instead. I haven't had cause to ask many technical questions in the past (mostly because I might not understand the answer!) but I have always found Mr Eckelberry to be prompt and helpful with his responses. Paul Reep or Scott Fraser may be even better placed to assist you if you mark an email for their attention.
One thing I would stress - and you probably know this already - is that we are not competing directly with the likes of Solazyme which is aiming to be an end to end algae producer. Our niche, of course, is algae extraction and harvesting - a much more specialised focus.
Keep an eye on MNGA today. They just PRd a major development with the US Navy and have a solid track record of delivering on their commitments.
The company is already producing revenues and has a sound share structure.
MNGA just posted great news about a possible contract with the US Navy. This company delivers on its promises.
