Hey all, long time no see. So whats' the OS these days? I got out long ago, but back then it was like 100 million if I remember correctly and there was talk of Ben reducing the A/S also. I know they ditched realtime, I was using it and I liked it.
That sounds cool! I just bought some stock too. Nice dividend yield, and the stock price seems to be low after that gap down last month. Hoping for a rebound in price and a nice dividend next month. Let's see.
Wow,where is this thing going? Whewy!
Thanks Little Cannuck!! Too bad, I like it. It's still working right now, I wonder when it will be pulled?
Thanks wallymac,Anybody know when it will be shut down? I like using it alot!
Can anybody please take a minute to answer my question? What's up with RT? Is it being canceled? I read that in a post or two. When will it be canceled? Didn't they just announce an update to it to fix some bugs??
Hey all, long time, anyway, I read two posts on here that said they pulled the plug on RT? To stop the spending of 20k per month. Is this true? I thought they just updated RT? I read the sticky notes, and about the buyback, but don't see any mention of pulling the plug on RT. Can anybody verify this> Thanks
I've got one for you guys....a nice way to make some money this week.
Buy BEBE and write the Aug 2010 2.50 calls (or just do a buy write)
You will lose about .02-.03 per share. So how is this helpful?
Because BEBE pays a $1/share dividend, Ex-div date is the 19th, must own your shares by next Friday. The $1 you earn can easily cover the few pennies you will lose selling your stock at Aug expy for 2.50. Imagine 5000 shares, covered with a loss of about $150 on the stock at expy, while collecting $5k in dividend income. Interested?
If you're worried that long calls will exercise and take your shares, don't be.
First, it's cheaper just to buy the stock, than the call and exercise.
Second, it's even better for a call buyer to buy the $5 calls instead, as yesterday they were both exactly the same price when you add the premium and the strike together. And $5 calls are about 2/3 cheaper up front than 2.50 calls. On Thursday, the $5 call was actually cheaper by .05 than the 2.50 call. So who would want to buy the 2.50 call? Who would want to buy any call this week for Aug expy, with the ex div dropping the shares by a buck??
Third, on Wed the open interest was 0. Then I added 40 short calls, then 16 more. There is currently open interest of 86. I can account for 56/86 being short calls, because they are mine.
Fourth, looking at the 5 year chart of BEBE, the stock has never been below the 4's. Unless we have a complete meltdown in the next three weeks, should be okay at 2.50. If it isn't, then we all have much bigger problems to worry about then anyway.
This is about as low risk/high reward as it gets folks. Even my broker couldn't poke any holes in it.
Of course I'm aware of the dividend capture myth, but covered calls at Aug 2.50 expy seems pretty bulletproof.
Thanks and good luck, I'd love to hear any thoughts/opinions.
Hey,
I can give you an idea how to play this. Buy the stock now, and sell the Aug 2010 2.50 calls. Do a buy-write.
You will lose just about .02-.04 per share on the stock, but becasue you own it, you will get $1.00 per share dividend.
It's a beautiful play. Of course the stock will decrease by about $1.00 on ex-div date, but who cares? Your going to sell it for 2.50 anyway in 3 weeks.
As long as the stock stays above 2.50, you win! Look at the 5 year price history, it's never really gone below $4 something.
Good Luck,
Scott
Hey all, I see the last post here was a month ago, so not sure anybody comes over here anymore. But I want to voice my concerns with the software issues on RT. I've been using RT since it was released, I use it daily. Back then, I reported all the issues I had with it's usability and things that didn't quite work right. To this day, none of those issues have been solved. Why hasn't anybody gone into the software and tweaked those issues? Here is a short list again.
1. Changes made to the layout of the quote book don't stay.
2. Every time you relaunch the workspace, the control bar always resets to default settings and that setting is always on top, and not auto hide. So each time I relaunch, I have to click on the properties and reset the options the way I want, they won't stay set.
3. Sometimes the quotes just stop and stay frozen, and the quote page must be relaunched.
4. Sometimes, upon relaunching only some of the quotes populate, maybe a quarter or half the page, the others never pop up. So again it must be relaunched until it comes up correctly. And each time must reset the tool bar to auto hide and "always on top" turned off.
5. Switching from one tab, to another also results in a quote page that only partially populates many times, then again, must relaunch the workspace.
6. It often takes quite a while to populate all the information on the quote after switching tabs. Example, the company name, last price, bid, ask populate, but the high and low don't and it reads UNCH for a long time, even though it's not actually UNCH. So I have to go to another source for data, unless of course once again I relaunch the workspace and try again, having to reset the toolbar options yet again.
7. Some symbols won't stay on the quote page, I've had problems consistently with dia and spy. These are ETF"s for the dow and S&P 500. It will initially show the data, but within a day an error box will pop up and say "spy" an invalid symbol. Then the program says it has encountered an error and needs to shut down.
8. It allows the user to enter the same ticker twice on the same page, doesn't tell you it already exists and give an option.
The biggest problem to me is quote pages not populating completely and requiring a relaunch of the workspace. And in switching tabs, the quotes are too slow to populate and sometimes never do. Since relaunching the workspace always restores the quote page to the way it's saved, one still needs to switch tabs, and may find that they still don't populate all the quotes. Some remain blank. And the slowness of the high/low loading and the quote reading UNCH for many minutes.
That's all I can think of for now. I wish they would make some progress on these issues.
I hear all this talk of "hijacking", but can anybody tell me exactly what that means? Did they steal the ownership papers from the Nevada gov't? whats the deal? Thanks!
I wouldn't get out right away. Why? You suffered through all this, don't sell at .0001. Their filings were late, then they fixed it. This happens ALL the time with pinks and OTC. There may still be mergers in the works. Don't sweat it yet. JMO.
My etrade is showing a new value for GMDP at .0001 (last trade) however there is no bid or ask price. Shows 103,562 shares traded. Anybody have any info on this?
So does this mean it will begin trading again sooner than the May date? Since it has been reinstated??? Anybody know? It's nice to see it fixed so quickly though. I'm getting killed today on everything else in my portfolio....huge losses!!
I'm still here!! I hope we get some news that propels us above a penny!! Would be great!! Cant' wait!!! GLTA
I'm still here!! I hope we get some news that propels us above a penny!! Would be great!! Cant' wait!!! GLTA
Thanks, I've been monitoring and lurking, nobody was worried about me! hic hic!! Just kidding. I don't like to get caught up in all the negative hype as the pps was retreating. Just figured I'd sit by and watch for a while.
Hey all, what happened to Hotdawg? Worried about our Ifinix family!! Hope this things rebounds again soon! GLTA
Good Morning All!!
I'm ready and waiting for this thing to go up!! Been here a while now News is welcome. Anyone have anything to report from the shareholder meeting? GLTA
It's coming folks! Dfly, are you still here? Once we get the PR, we will have alot to be happy about. A solid company, not a startup, with a successful business already! Sounds like a sweet deal at double the current price. No reason why a sold company merging into this, with the current share structure, can't be worth at least a nickel. Anybody agree?? IMO
Where is this pps going? Everybody still has smiles on their faces as we are nearing .01 again? What's up with this??
I will be buying more to accumulate at these levels. No problems with future outlook in my opinion.
Yes, the float remains the same. No change.
No they didn't. Did you read the PR? The float is not changed, O/S is not changed. Only A/S and possible preferred which would be restricted for one year. Means that if volume picks up, the stock will still move because the float is still low. You can't trade A/S. Anybody, correct me if I'm wrong.
C'mon GMDP!! GO GO GO Everybody tell some friends about this one! They'll love you for it. If you tell em' when it's too late, they won't think much of it! IMO
I'm lurking in the shadows!! Waiting for revenue!!
Nice! Looking good. Waiting for the next leg up. Holding steady. IMO
I don't know why anybody is selling.....this thing has just barely gotten started. I'm looking for more. IMO
Nice buy Teto, this is just getting started. IMO
Nice! Looking strong! More is coming!!!
Things are looking quite nice here now!! We may break the .01 on Monday I hope. We hit the .007 pretty easily yesterday, it won't take much with this low floater. This stock is going to be in for big things in my opinion. It's coming!!
Nice news today! Let's see some action!! I've been waiting PaTiEnTlY!!!!
Is it normal for the pps to keep dropping a week out from a review that most feel will be positive? I read somewhere that one of the best ways to make money on a biotech is in the pps rise as it moves closer to an FDA meeting. This stock is getting alot of attention, and 30 mil were bought by insiders, so why is the pps not moving higher toward the big day? Am I wrong? Is this normal?
Thanks alot for your help, so it looks like the big day is in March. I'm not so worried about the eventual approval, just looking at the options for March expy. Some consultant says there is better than a 50% chance of approval, it's a fatal condition, and there are no other drugs approved. Plus it's approved in Japan, but I don't know if that is significant or not. There was also a 30 million share insider purchase by the beneficial owner. And according to the options, some would require the stock price to get to around 430/share to pay off. On one hand, I'm thinking about OTM calls to allow for some upward movement, on the other, the ITM calls provide a better premium and this cushions a bit more if the decision goes the wrong way. However, if the price per share dives to say, 7.00, it's still a big loss. Tough decision
The difference between success and failure is often ONE DECISION!
Thanks for your reply, So...it's like 2 FDA meetings? Does the first group make a recommendation to the FDA to either approve or not approve? Or do they just list some concerns/attributes for the FDA to further take a look at? Will there be a clear cut statement like, "this panel recommends" or "this panel finds the supporting evidence inconclusive"...blah blah blah, and "the FDA should seriously consider our findings before....blah blah blah"...
Will we get some clear direction/hint as to the direction the FDA will go? After all, the first panel is also an FDA panel, so if they're satisfied.....
Any further insight would be appreciated very much.
I have read that the FDA's pulmonary-allergy drugs advisory committee will meet March 9 to discuss the marketing application for the drug, also the FDA is scheduled to make its decision by May 4.
What exactly will we learn in March? Are we going to get approval in March or May? I would imagine the FDA decision to approve or not is what will drive the stock price.
Is there any info that could come out in March, prior to May, that will drive the stock price?
Sorry for all the questions, but I'm learning about this, the covered calls look pretty good.
Thanks
If it's not approved....what is the consensus of expectations amongst some of you as to the severity of the drop in the Price per share? If it goes into the meeting at 14.00, and not approved, what will be the pps the next day? I see on another bio, X... it was denied last week and it dropped from 20.00 to 10.00. Do you think it will cut in half?
So I guess this FDA meeting isn't exactly a slam dunk? Possibly some reason for them to deny. However, you'd think these firms would know exactly what the FDA wants to see and what is important, so that approval would be almost guaranteed. I'm sure nobody wants to spend the money on the trials, and go before the FDA with a weak case. If their therapy didn't work, they wouldn't even attempt to get it approved. IMO
Good news! Plus, the old RT is still working. I'm using it now. I wonder when exactly they plan to take it down?
