Why is this a big deal? Everyone here seems to think that JPM and WAMU family are the only stocks that exist. The DOW had it's biggest single day drop in over six months, why shouldn't JPM be down 5%? It's not absurd, it's not a piece of the puzzle clicking into place, stop chasing a dream that no-one has any clue about. You will sleep better and stop getting frustrated with the most finite of price changes if you just let it go. In or out, make the decision and then stop worrying about it! Unless of course you are flipping the stock, then by all means spread dissent and discord or hope depending on which way you need it to move.
Good Day
because 2 + 2 = chair
Hey now, don't diss on the bagholders, it's how a lot of other people make their money. They should be praised and respected for their hard work.
The simple answer is because they can.
JPM will not get rid of cash they don't have to. Even if they know they will eventually have to give it up they will wait as long as possible. In the case vs WAMU it is even more important to keep it as long as possible to keep WAMU dead in the water to further increase the JPM Chase foot print.
500 bajillion
Numbers are approximate and what I believe to be correct to past DD
WAMUQ OS 1.7 Billion, Face Value is(Insert Dream Here)
WAMKQ OS 20 Million, Face Value is $25
WAMPQ OS 3 Million, Face Value is $1,000
WAHUQ OS 10 Million, Face Value is $50
WAMUQ at $1 would total $5.7 Billion
Have you considered averaging down? That way you can take some profit next run up with not a lot of extra risk, just get some of that money back off the table.
The point is not really worth debating, even if I'm eating crow I'll be doing it all the way to the bank. Same as you lol.
Was Marvel or Cadbury in bankruptcy for over a year with not a breath of their name being spoken other than on a few obscure message boards? Even if they were, was their buyout offers anywhere near the profit potential of current situation? Not accepting the idea of mass sell off at obscene profit is naive.
Reread this when you wake up Fish, make sure it's what you want to say, it's a tough read. I always enjoy your 3am postings when I log on in the morning.
Should replace guarantee with imo.
Unless of-course you have some kind of.... what do they call it...... PROOF
Pretty sure the breakdown is:
wamuq 1,705,359,302
wamkq 20,000,000
wampq 3,000,000
wahuq 10,000,000
More or less anyway..
It's lunchtime, expect a slowdown and/or slight pull back.
oh, and we are so close to taking over the sponges!
shhhhh! I'm still consolodating
Just a very basic break down for you.
SYMBOL______OS_________Face Value______MONEY NEEDED
wamkq___20,000,000_________$25.00_________$500,000,000.00
wampq____3,000,000______$1,000.00_______$3,000,000,000.00
wahuq___10,000,000_________$50.00_________$500,000,000.00
__________________________________TOTAL $4,000,000,000.00
I don't like to speculate on the price for commons but there are 1.7billion of them, if you do the quick math on the ammount that WMI is sueing for and add it to what they have on deposit at JPM then take away face values for preffered shares/debt it may all click together for you. As far as the 12 24 36 pps for commons I'm not one to dream, but that would be taking into account RICO damages.
IE: if one of the wait staff at MickeyD's is having a bad day and throws hot coffee on your shirt and you decide to sue them, you don't just get your shirt replaced and a coupon for free coffee. Why? Because that crap burned and you didn't do anything wrong! So you say pay me! It's not an exact parallel for an example but I like the story.
Good Luck in your class!
Shake Shake Shake,
Shake Shake Shake,
Shake those shares loose.
It is quiet...
Thank you
When is the short information supposed to be available today? Is there a better place to check than shortsqueeze.com?
The more I look at it, the more it seems like they was just printing shares.
I thought this was interesting too
Page 4 Item C
JPMorgan Chase acquired the banking operations of Washington Mutual Bank for $1.9 billion. The fair value of the net assets acquired
exceeded the purchase price, which resulted in negative goodwill. In accordance with SFAS 141, nonfinancial assets that are not held-forsale
were written down against that negative goodwill. The negative goodwill that remained after writing down nonfinancial assets was
recognized as an extraordinary gain.
I think they text each other
Is it just me or is the ask creeping back up?
Statements only become facts when concrete information is available to support the claims. Until such information is obtained or brought forth the statement is mearly floating in BS with all the other BS statements.
Uhhh, Happy Birthday I bought you 5g's worth of WAMUQ. I'd be happy if my wife did that for me! Of-course I'd have to wonder where she came up with 5g.......
I've just been lucky with it I guess for the couple times I've decided to go that way. Thanks for the heads up though.
You can get out of this fairly easily if you do a market order instead of limit, but it won't be sold at .0001
Perhaps I'm confused....your post makes no sense to me. What exactly is your definition of xdate and record date? Maybe I'm thinking of something different.
The record date means a lot! You just want your X date to be before or on the record date.
Losing bid support fast.... have my fingers crossed though.
I was thinking the same thing! Lots of tightly held shares!
GRWW is thin and at the bottom. Moves easy!
This point in a stock is always interesting, the bidsitters waiting for the weak hands. Love it.
What does L2 look like this afternoon?
GRWW RELOAD!
How is L2 looking? Still just one at .0006?
Awesome, thanks for sharing.
It looks thin, any type of real volume and this will blow up. Especially with all the shares sold at 0007 and 8 from earlier this week. Wish I had more powder to slap that ask a bit.
