Go over and read the board. It's been well explained.
The China airlines one?
There is something on the web that the co-pilot committed suicide, but I'm not sure if those are reliable sources??
I can read the article, but the comments won't load...
Below is a direct link to YouTube. Maybe that will work?
You can see the spoilers are deployed and the flaps look full down. When the plane emerges from behind the fire truck I'm guessing it's about 2/3 of the way down the 9.900 ft. runway. The left TR is clearly stowed but maybe the right one is open? Just as it comes abeam of the camera it's slowing nicely, but then the mains lock up and the plane starts to skid into a ground loop.
They locked the brakes at the end of the landing roll and blew out tires. I've got no doubts about it. Probably got below minimum TR speed, stowed the TRs then switched to brakes and locked them. You can see the tires start smoking right at the end of the roll-out.
I'm guessing with the hydraulic failure he must have gone to an alternate brake system and had no anti-skid protection? He had it made, he should have stayed off the brakes.
Despite the hydraulic failure, I'm gonna label that one Pilot Error.
Maybe Jetmek can weigh in on this?
Another Boeing crash. Cargo 757 this time: https://www.cnn.com/travel/article/costa-rica-airport-dhl-emergency-landing/index.html
That's correct, the SEC investigation remains ongoing:
Well again. we can only infer what is going on by observing the numbers that are available.
But it's noteworthy that ZNOG is not letting the transfer agent update the restricted/unrestricted ratio.
Nor do they disclose this information in the last 10-K.
https://ih.advfn.com/stock-market/USOTC/zion-oil-and-gas-qx-ZNOG/stock-news/87589573/annual-report-10-k
That's one of the advantages (to the board anyway, certainly not to their investors) of becoming an unlisted equity.
Outstanding Shares: 410,421,939 as of 02/07/2022
Held at DTC: 338,363,515 as of 02/07/2022
Outstanding Shares: 445,687,058 as of 4/04/2022
Held at DTC: 387,600,716 as of 4/04/2022
So in just under eight weeks the Outstanding increased by about 8.5% while shares held at DTC (representing shares held in retail brokerage accounts) increased by about 14.5%.
The company will not share the Restricted/Unrestricted ratio with it's investors. But "Held at DTC" is growing at a much more rapid rate than "Outstanding" (which is growing rather rapidly itself) so we can only infer what's going on - That previously restricted shares are being dumped into the retail brokerage market.
Assuming those new "DTC held" shares entered the retail brokerage market at an average of 12¢ (probably too low) that's roughly another $6 million that went somewhere.

There was an incident with an Air France 777 yesterday which is probably getting reported a little hysterically - in my opinion.

No real information in either of those articles.
Really? Don't you check your sources before you fall for their garbage?
Interesting... Horthy is a good or bad guy depending on who's history you choose to read.
He never had the opportunity to choose between good or bad. His choices were limited to a range between bad, evil, or incredibly evil.
Thanks for bringing that up, I've got to dig out some history books...
Interesting stuff. I've already found a lot of people I know (or knew)!

I don't agree with this move. As a society, we are wasting fossil fuels.
Higher prices will eventually reduce demand - reduce consumption.
And higher oil prices will ultimately make alternative energy sources more attractive.
OK, now you're even being even weirder than cat... If that's possible.
I agree with you DB. It's beyond disgusting.
I actually passed though Newtown Ct. recently on Route 6 and commented to the folks I was driving something like "Oh my God, look where we're at." and they got very emotional. Even though they don't live exactly there, it mean't a lot to them.
Because I took it upon myself to become informed.
The only trick I see here is the one working in some spam advertising for Berkshire!
Hey now! Remember I've had three shots of the Lizard DNA myself.
"HISSSSSSS!!"
So don't be trying to make passes at me!!
Probably the lizard DNA?
"Leviathan and Tamar were not during the unrest of the Middle East like this."
Not during unrest in the Middle East? I don't recall a time when there wasn't!

"And Leviathan and Tamar might not be as big as MJ02"
That one just gets a "Lol"!
Well there's been sort of a "mutiny" going on in the PGA lately. And I've sort of found myself peripherally (emphasis on peripherally, 'cause I don't wanna go there) involved.
So unfortunately some pros may have a reason to kiss some orange 'A'?

That barge has been sitting there as long as I've been going in and out of LaGuardia. In fact that bottom picture is looking out the left side of an airplane on short final to Runway 13 or out the right if the plane has taken off on Runway 31. In the foreground is Riker's Island.
You get an even better view of the barge when operating off of Runway 4/22.
"ZN has hit oil and Israel has requested they keep silent"
That doesn't add up, as there is no secrecy regarding Leviathan or Tamar.

That's true. And if he was playing with who he said he was playing with that shouldn't be an issue.

75 year old with a swing as awful as his hit a 5 iron 181 yards into the wind?
That "ship" don't sail. Anyone who hangs around Queens or The Bronx should be familiar with it.
It's clearly visible when going in and out of LaGuardia airport and has been sitting there a long time - Not moving.

Why do ya think they call 'em "dope" stocks?
Here's an indicator. Note that hardly anyone posted on the I-Hub TQQQ board until just the last two years or so. Recently it has become a rather busy board: https://investorshub.advfn.com/Proshares-Etf-Ultrapro-Long-Qqq-TQQQ-23255
He's going to lose money in a down market, in a flat market, or in a slowly rising market. He needs a year like 2021 for that leveraged ETF to show any gain.
So three out of four possible scenarios are losers. Again, that's makes it straight up gambling.
If one is bullish on the Tech 100, one is a lot better off buying the QQQ.
TQQQ and SQQQ are gambling platforms disguised as "investments".
Now with that said, for full disclosure I'll mention I do write out of the money puts on them Thursdays and especially Fridays each week. And on QQQ on Mondays and Wednesdays.
I've told you that on another board, and I know you don't approve. But when people are willing to give you money for something with no intrinsic value - Well, I just gotta take it!
If you want to invest in the NASDAQ 100, you are way better off owning the Invesco QQQ (I do) than you are gambling with the with the ProShares leveraged TQQQ.
QQQ is up approximately 20% from one year ago. So simple logic says the triple return TQQQ should be up 60%?
But no, due to the cost of leverage the TQQQ is up only approximately 12% from a year ago. Even worse are the 3X leveraged bear funds like SQQQ that's lost approximately 50% of it's value from a year ago.
A good rule of thumb is that the more "actively managed" any fund is, the worse it's long term return is likely to be.
If anyone can't get around the paywall, here is that WSJ reporter being interviewed this morning:

I first saw Head East spring of 1975 on the grass runway at Giant City Park down in Southern Illinois. I had my brand new girlfriend (now wife) with me. We had never heard of Head East, but after that show we all bought that Flat as a Pancake album.
Saw them again about a year later July 4, 1976 at the Rockford Speedway: https://www.facebook.com/bicentennialjam/
They've got the second recorder now as well:
