Disgusting....I should have sold ALL but 1 share @ 47.00.
3 Months until the next earnings call...quarantee ,the COOP board will vomit the same crap "stock is undervalued, should be much higher, need to bring more shareholder value", and the board cheerleader will post it as..."exciting news"
EVERY earnings call results in the same BS propaganda.
Key word..."over time"...like in years or decades?
More key words "we expect" and "should".
Well,I expect and should become a millionaire. Lets see how that works out....
Couldn't agree more...COOP is heavily manipulated, and follows only one chart...slow ride up to earnings, and a slow slide back ,until the next earnings call.
Wish I had the guts to sell, and re-buy...but with my luck...I better not...lol.
I was being facetious.
We all know JPM and the US Gov are in bed together....
Super odd that JPM is the recipient of "failed" banks...
Buying a BK stock for pennies, and expecting huge returns is pie in the sky...you know it as well as I do. With the exception of a rare few...it hardly ever turns out in the favor of the investor.
Now granted WAMU is not a traditional BK stock, as we all know there was huge money in the holding company...,but to say that a person that bought WAMU stock for .15 is due fair and reasonable is disingenuous. Individuals chose to buy WAMU BK stock....knowing full well the pitfalls of their investment.
I chose to buy stock in 100 year old bank, thinking it was safe...and doubled down thinking WAMU would be put on the no short list, thinking again it was a safe investment . But my investment was STOLEN BY THE EVIL CORRUPT JPM (with plenty of assistance from our equally corrupt government) and I and many others are due F&R for the theft our original investment...big difference to what is fair and reasonable to me (and other pre holders), versus others on this board that only purchased stock AFTER the BK.
I'm not looking to get under any ones skin, with my viewpoint/opinion, if we get paid ,GREAT, I will be happy for everyone that has been dealing with this BS for 15 years.
"Those who bought after bankruptcy bought a lottery ticket."....100% correct.
Most on this board purchased WAMU for pennies....and are this board daily, belly aching about how they are OWED a fair and reasonable amount for a stock they bought for next to nothing.
Then there are others, like myself, that purchased WAMU well before the 2008 crap unfolded.. Now don't get me wrong, I've added COOP and I'm well into the plus side...but this constant BS, that "they" are owed F&R, for purchasing a BK stock for pennies, is absolutely ridiculous. AIMHO
Don't worry about the price drop, or the lack of sustained upper movement...the charts say , cup, saucer, teapot handle breakout is imminent....just need to fill the gap(s)...lol.
I'm going to go back and review all the earnings calls since August 2021,when they purchased the shares from KKR. I know they said some have been retired, but I'm not sure they said it each time they repurchased stock.
Regardless, I am completely against their so called repurchase stock program, because it hasn't done crap for the PPs. I read your post, where you stated it "could " be at 25.00 if it wasn't for the stock buyback...that's nothing but speculation, it very could be at the same PPS ,as it currently is. Or above...who knows?
The money could have been used for a divi, or to purchase an asset, that would be easily reflected in the stock price.
Yes there is a reason COOP is buying back shares, but IMO, its not for a higher PPS that JWW posts about DAILY.
It could be a reissue, or maybe a stock for stock merger?
MASSIVE BUYBACK...LOL.
They've been buying back stock for a pretty long time...hasn't done crap. All you have to do is look at your charts.... Aug 2021 38ish,rangelocked for a year and a half, March 2023 38ish.
How many shares have been retired since Aug 2021 to now? Yet here we are at 38
Housing was going bonkers summer 2021 and summer 2022....yet the great COOP added nothing to the PPS during that period of time.
Yeah Ok,that and 100 pennies will get you a whole dollar.
Gaps, Cup & handle ,inmenant break out...lol.
LOL...I'm with ya'....just tired of the BS...that's all.
PIPE DREAM @ 64.00
but, but according to the charts...
I can give a flying F what the charts say...has ZERO bearing on COOP, it moves when "they " let it, AND, once done with the little itty bitty run "they" rope it back into "comfort" zone.
Bunch of BS.
...the one share that was purchased after hours yesterday for 29.08,really took it in the shorts today....LOL.
Yes...This has been my position in the past....and I also agree that some back room deal was struck years ago to give them an out.
I'm not anti-escrow, but I highly doubt the HF have been waiting 14+ years to get their money.
I have always felt it was a 1% change we will see anything, but its better than zero.
Yep...the usual shenanigans' are in play...the ol' run up before earnings, only to be squashed directly after....no matter how good the numbers and guidance is/are.
You gotta love the corruption...like a lawless third world banana Republic,
LOL...Blackrock....green warriors.
Going forward they will demand that COOP, only mortgage houses made of MUD or ROCKS. Houses will have no gas lines, and the roofs will be lined with solar panels. In the back yard you have a small wind farm and a well for water. Composting toilet, will make fertilizer for the garden which you will need to grow food since farms are a danger to the environment, and will be fazed out.
Someone posted a while back that the after market purchases were probably COOP buying back shares. Done after close as to not upset the market???????
When will COOP be allowed to pass the 45. XX barrier?.
100% correct.
And...Wamu stock was allowed to be shorted while other banks were protected.
Wishing all a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Why would the market ignore a 1-3 billion dollar asset?
Maybe the asset is not worth what COOP thinks its worth.
Agreed... KKR buyback 8/2021...stock was at 38ish.You would figure that eliminating 11 Million shares, super hot housing market, rates increasing that COOP would fly...yet COOP moved very little in the final few months of 2021.
It spiked briefly in February, then settled into the range lock trading pattern that we are currently in.15 moths later we have less shares, yet the stock is trading at almost the same level.
Hope it ends soon and on a positive note.
I've thought the same for months.
Every conference call, same chit...stock is undervalued, if we sell Xome, and more stock buy backs.
I agree...its much higher than the 8% the Gov throws out there. Simple trip to the grocery store proves its an outright lie.
Probably COOP buying more stock...
The COOP buyback program sure has given alot of value to the shareholders....wonder where we would be without it....I bet we'd be where we are at today 40.75. Total waste of money hasn't done squat and I cringe every time I hear it during the Con Calls.
Right ...fewer and fewer are looking to work and get promoted.
I bet, like me, most on this board, started at some menial job and worked hard to get a better job...nothing was given. You worked hard to get noticed and be promoted, and when you got promoted, you felt like you accomplished something. It gave meaning to your life and it meant your hard work was acknowledged and valued by your employer.
Now, I see all sorts of able bodied people at intersections, cup in hand looking for handouts. Help wanted signs are every where, but they would rather stand on the corner looking like lazy fools, than work.
Go figure.
Let me tell you what higher wages has done....,our local Walmart removed 70% of the cashiers and replaced them with self check out. Those jobs are now gone,
McDonald's replaced cashiers with Kiosks....those jobs are now gone.
My wife's salon, that has been in business for 19 years and employed 40 people...all women. Thanks to the stupid lock downs...half did not return to work, when she tried to find people to replace them, she ended up having to OVERPAY just to get bodies in there. So guess what...January 31 2023 we are shutting down...all will be out of a job.
Now go ahead and tell me how great it is to have entry level workers demanding more than 15.00 per hour. .
Complete joke....might as well delist the POS.
Everyday is groundhog day on the COOP board.
LOL...up 1.54. on 25k shares
Stock Manipulation by the crooked MM's should be against the law.
Wow hardly any posts today. I guess people are getting tired of the same old conversations, and COOP stock underperforming.
So let me get this straight...a scheme was cooked up 10 plus years ago...to WAIT a very long time....like 11 plus years, so they can cash in and screw retail investors?!
So do you think that while they were contemplating how many years to wait....when someone said 10 plus years ,all agreed?.really...no one was worried about dying, firms closing, ...etc.
THEY WERE ALL WILLING TO WAIT....10 plus years, let that sink in.
Seems highly, highly unlikely, I would bet everything I have that did not happen.
....he lost Hotmeat, and found a new person to bobble head in agreement too.
You can read the COOP chart until you are blue in the face...it has zero bearing on what this stock does...zero. The only thing I see it good for is defining the high and low during a period of time....and the manipulation around earnings reports. Cup and handle ,cup tea and biscuit breakout....or what ever makes no difference.
Tightly controlled and manipulated by the crooked MM's and clueless COOP clown board.
AIMO
Others have disappeared... after posting endless theories that have never come true.
Maybe they are too embarrassed to post, since they have been 100% wrong ....on everything.
Has anyone ever had an issue buying COOP stock?
I ask because I've been holding and adding since 2007...but I'm getting tired of watching it yo-yo up and down and want to start flipping maybe half of what I own.
Because of the low share count I have always been Leary of doing it...I'm willing to give it a shot, as long as I can buy it back.
TIA
