Are they foriegn owned?
most of these companies use a BVI domicle
I would probably start shortin them too
Gold would have to reach $10,000 per ounce before this company makes any money
Did you say you have a shell that is for sale?
Production is confidential, however lets just say the SGC numbers are pathetic. Trommels are for the clay....and the black sands (after we process them) are stacked (waste). I did have them analyzed for mineral content; Thorium-bearing monazite, zircon, ilmenite, magnetite, and cassiterite. No platinum group minerals were detected in any of the samples.
1.8 kilos in a month is nothing....with the amount of money being invested here, SGC should be mining 1 kilo per day. If not they shouldn't be in Sierra Leone. Maybe they should come to Liberia...
This doesn't address the key points...
Political ties have good and bad consequences...just pay the woman...and get her out of your business
The part about trying to find a good buyer for gold...rubbish
Social responsibility.....that's great. In Liberia we build schools, drill water wells, provide clean water, pay for teachers to come from the city for 6 months of the year....etc.
Don't make it sound like your rice farms are making you money.
and I am curios how much are you (SGC) paying these Workers?
I am all for feeding people....and for that matter seeing SGC become successful.
It's time to act like a real mining company.
Bad Idea to be involved with the "daughter" of the Minister....this could be considered a conflict of interest or at minimum another source of contention when things don't go right. What if the Minister was to be suddenly replaced...or you decide to sell the equipment and the woman dosen't agree. She obviously has too much influence in this company....she is radioactive if you know what I mean.
(you have to understand things don't work the same in Africa as they do in North America... they don't call them "Banana Republics" for nothing)
BG
Thank you for the explanation. I am a little curios why you are spread out so much before you have even gotten one project successfully up and running and into production? From the looks of things you have spent approx. $150k on equipment and the balance on who knows what? I don't know exactly how everything is now done in Sierra Leone regarding mining....I ran a timber/sawmill there for awhile and it seemed straight forward.....pay your fees, pay your local tax (paramount chief) pay some more at the port, have a good lawyer and everything runs fine. Regarding minerals here in Liberia we work directly with the Ministry of Mines. We do employ locals but would NEVER be partners with any.... its a recipe for disaster. If Liberians want to use their own money to open a mining company all the best, but don't expect to use mine money and you put nothing in....
Regarding the farming....what a distraction! Are you a mining company or a Agricultural company?
If you were taking down 150,000 hectare for bio fuels or palm oil or some other big cash crop then I would say YEAH! spin it off into a separate public shell, but to be doing diamonds in one area of the country and then gold in another and farming rice yet in another....OMG You are confusing us.
And who in the *blank* would allow some local woman to control your gold sales....have you guys lost your minds. There is NEVER a shortage of gold buyers in West Africa. I can get spot minus 4% any day of the week and up to any amount of money...$100,000 to $10 million. Get focused...start with one project, do more exploration, do a feasibility study, find out if it will work.
Control your production...from the river to the bank. Make sure your sluice boxes and jigs are locked and only opened by you. Good Luck!
Had a few conversations with Mark, but at last never heard back....not even one email.
This is from the wesite, with my comments highlights in bold
PAMPANA RIVER
In 2005, geologist Hendrik Veldhuyzen completed a 43-101 (competent person) report on the Pampana River licensed area deeming it a property of merit. please make this 43-101 public He recommended that exploration be continued and subsequently a dredging program be commenced to develop cash flow for the company. recommends dredging without a feasiblity report, bad idea In 2006-2007 the exploration program, as laid out by Hendrik, was continued and successfully completed in 2007. would like to see these results The results of the exploration phase were very positive and we were ready to move to the operations phase of the project. what has taken so long? In 2008, a specific mining site was selected. Processing equipment which was ordered in November 2007, has been shipped and is scheduled to arrive in October of this year.2008? what took so long? Licensing, logistical and site preparation are under way in order to commence operations in the 4th quarter of 2008.It states above that the area was under license in 2005 why do you need a new license? its May 2009, so what is the problem now?
Does anyone know if the website has updated this info:
Shares Authorized
500 Million
Shares Issued
372 Million
Is this correct?
There certainly is a big difference between a general qualified persons report and 43-101 resource calculation/ feasibility study. I would like to see a copy of your said report...email it to me. From the website they only have some local guy prepare an estimate report which is purely antidotal. Show me the drill holes, trenches, bulk sampling, assays, etc. I want to see the numbers, cerified by a qualified persons report. additionally I think the idea of third party verification is a great idea. As shareholders it should be manditory.
I for one would understand what these guys are up against, since I was just at the Sierra Leone Border with Liberia only a few weeks ago. I have been a long time exploration consultant and mining entrepreneur in West Africa for the past 16 years. I have lived and have had home bases in Freetown, Accra and Monrovia....currently I am mining in Liberia. Essentially the reason these guys are having so many problems is the lack of understanding of West Africa. They are probably up to their eye balls in red tape (corruption) and don't have any idea how they got there or how to get out of it. I suspect there is a lot not being said on this board about this...in any case if you want to know more... email me at RMG_LIB@hotmail
Keep Hoping....remember "if it smells like ____, and taste like _____, it probably is ______".
That is the most intelligent thing I have heard anyone say on this board..."maybe"
I think its game over for Sierra....
I have never seen such a company operate so unprofessional. They are operating with less than $150k in equipment, with properties spread out all over the country. First they are looking for gold and then looking for diamonds....which is it? They have no geological reports to prove anything, no NI-43-101 reports, No resource calulation based on any known drilling or trenching programs. Just "blue sky"...so maybe we should call this Blue Sky Gold Corp.
one and half kilos in two weeks? this is small production.
I'm doing that amount in one day
137,700,500 shares traded in the last 60 days @ average price .0008
These share are now transfered from the weakest stock holders to investors who are long...
how many more shares are out there?
I did contact the company, however nothing really came out of it. I have big property in nieghboring Liberia which is known more for its gold and iron deposits than for diamonds. Been conducting testing for some time and will be in major prouction by March/April. I should start my own public entity with all the potential we have....
Question: how many shares outstanding?
How many shares in the float?
one million dollar profit = how many $ per share?
Profit = revenue minus expenses? or after tax ?
I got (six) 8 in. dredges in Liberia, so stay tune.
John and Mark I never heard back from you.....
Gold will see $1200/oz in 09'
Is this a reversal? or only a pause with more dowside?
down down down....no place to go but down
This stock is rediculous....the president ran away like a baby...scam of the century!
Does this company really have over 2 billion shares outstanding (float)? LOL
I bought those shares @ .0046 and sold them to you for .046
do you know what type of dredge equipment they are using?
Where was it manufactured?
IS that a long ton? short ton? or a metric ton?
Can someone tell me what type of 8 inch dredge the company is using? 50 ton an hour seems high...
Sierra Leone doesn't have deposits of Rubies..and especially in the river system you are talking about.
Surprise PR
All this company needs to do is verify the $118 million water contract, announce where and whom is bottling the water, and when the first shipments are going to be made....
Then this baby will pop like a rocket! but until then its 0000's
Mis-direction? in the real world its called fraud. But because of some un-written rule, the governemnt doesn't potect people who invest in "pinks". Basically you are on your own...shame on the SEC.
I wish the share price was 2 cents?
Wallymac Says "It would have been a bigger fiasco if they had attempted to include it in the AQUI public entity. Now I'm basing my assumption on what has been posted only and it is speculation"
Why would it be a "bigger fiasco" for AQUI to obtain and maintain thier own bottling facility and water source? instead of being at the whims of "others" who could charge whatever price they wanted for the water.
Isn't the 500 million share restricted block just for situations like this?
at one point when the share price was .10 per share this restricted block was worth $50,000,000.00 USD
My conclusion is that it would be better for AQUI to obtain and own a water and bottling source.
If this is true (that Daniel and Paul were trying to raise money to purchase a water bottling facility) then why wouldn't Aquagold purchase the bottling equipment?
Is Aquagold only a distributor? a distibutor without purchase orders? a distributor w/o a wharehouse? a distributor w/o any sales volume?
what does this mean? "they will went they can"
why can't anyone get information on this company?
Is there anybody who knows the story here?
abcdefg
Try contacting Whistles; he has a web page devoted to ONMC/AQUI and I am sure he would post the information you have sent me there...
abcdefg
Have you spoken to Michael Goere lately? what is his problem with AQUI?
Have you spoken to Daniel Sauvé, Paul A. Taillefer, or Marc-Olivier Hassoun?
What have they said about their fiduciary responsibility to Aquagold? how can they start up another water/distribution company when they already own a public company that is in the same business?
