Shkreli's comments...
Q: Would you be bothered at all if this <no insurance> causes someone to die?
A: That would never happen. We have a free drug program and a co-pay assistance program. We spend a bunch of money making sure no patient ever gets left behind.
Q: What qualifications do patients have to meet to receive the medication free, because in my experience, almost nobody but a few token patients ever qualify for these programs.
A: I don't know
He is making himself look very foolish.
"I'm not seeing the usual, informed glee that occurs when there really is a bubble. IMO, it's the "generalists," who bought high in the first place, that are selling. Somebody please tell me I'm wrong"
All you have to do is look at CLDX which epitomized the bubble that biotech stock were in. Analysts were falling over themselves to raise PTs based on their pre-clinical compound. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour. After a 60%+ fall it stills look overvalued. This is just one of many examples. However, if you watch less speculative companies in the sector it might not have been as obvious there was a bubble. GLTU
Biotech Bubble Bursting. CLDX down $14 from highs. Shocking behaviour by the analyst community recently.
Crazy Biotech Bubble we are in. What happened to the days when an early stage development company was priced accordingly? Now it's a case of price in best case scenario [or better] and roll the dice. Amazing to see a poster here try to justify an insane valuation based on ZERO clincial trial results. How times have changed.
How about a list of Biotech Valueless companies?
RIGL - Speaking of the RA market...
Rigel has their Phase 2b mono-therapy study data due before year end and their 3 pivotal Phase 3 studies data due 1H 2013. Also a couple of other compounds in Phase 2 testing with large markets. With an EV of just over $500m this one looks like a decent R/R play. Anyone care to comment?
