I got hit in the tummy by a richocheing (sp? I'm not gonna even take the time to consult Webster) M80 when I was 17 OUCH!!!! SH
But Matt, you're allowed to post as much as you wish. Being that we're in a bar, you know (or maybe you're too young) that we all talk excessively the more we drink and the later it gets. We could repeat ourselves, which also happens in the bar scene quite often. What say you Carolyn??? Is repeating ourselves at this time of night Kosher????? SH
Thanks Matt but IMO it's got to be Kosher or it's no fun. SH
Both. AAAH the joys of motherhood. SH
It's funny, we were just talking about that. My oldest is a risk taker. Having said that, we used to go over to our neighborhood park and set off fireworks. One year, when he was about six or seven, he ran right in the middle of the basketball court and lay down amidst all the fireworks being set off. He was having a hoot just laying there while all those pyrotechnics were flying over his head. In the meanwhile, I'm reaming my husband a new U know what for letting him do it. Needless to say, he survived. SH
Yeah, I got used to him being gone. It was a BIG BOOHOO for the first couple of weeks after he left for college in his freshman year. Now, when he comes home, I count the days till he goes back. (Just kidding) SH
Come on folks, I can't do this all by myself. Carolyn...since you're in Central Time maybe you'll get the grub. I just want to see somebody do it. SH
I was thinking that 12:00 could be extended if we go by Pacific Coast Time. SH
Chas, 90 something posts to go....so you said you play(ed) the trumpet???? That explains your "brassiness" <G> SH
We went downtown St Pete tonight to watch the fireworks and a huge storm rolled in. Ran us right out of there. Came home to watch the Macy's fireworks on TV. They were awesome. SH
OK...you got it. I'm the Queen of the Yakkers and I've got a little more time.My son is studying for an Algebra test and the PC is in his room. Hope he's a good student and studies a while longer. SH
You all are TOO MUCH. Gotta love it. My two men are waiting for me to go out for a little while. Will check back in to see who grabs the grub. It's well within reach now. Have fun. I'll be back to join ya later. SH
Gonna need more than a fifth on the fourth with these folks ;)SH
Edit: How's that for alliteration???
Well that explains your mathematical predispostion to all of those grubs. <G> There are more than a few studies about how classical music develops the left side of the brain. Neat stuff. SH
What is it???? My speakers aren't hooked up. As soon as my son is done teaching the lesson I'll try to get him to help me out. Can't be without music in the bar, bummer. SH
Are you in NY??? You're right about the musicals. Joseph and His Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat comes to mind. What a show! It has something to offer for everyone. SH
Yeah, those scales tend to be annoying but I really missed them when my son went off to college. Strange huh???? SH
Hey Matt, bring some of your friends over to The Corner Bar (BAR)
We're going for a HUGE grub. 1776. Only 184 posts needed by midnight. Who will be the one????? SH
Only 184 posts to go for THE BIG GRUB. SH
I only suggested the classical stuff for the fireworks. You know I had a conversation with someone in my local neighborhood bar about had sad it was that we could sell out the Tampa football stadium (@ 56,000 seats I think) week after week at $50.00 plus a pop and they can't fill up the theater (@ 2,000 seats) even with all of the comps given away. There's something radically wrong with that picture. We have a really good orchestra here, not one of the "top five" but the brass section rocks. I think we need to start exposing our children to this music at an early age and they will develop a taste for it. Sadly, with the budget problems our schools are dealing with, it always seems that the arts arethe first to go. SH
Where's Chas?? Being the grubmeister that he is I'm sure he'd be chomping at the bit for THAT grub. SH
You're quite welcome and I'll be happy to continue posting a few more times so as to assist in the cause. BTW can you get some Pilsner Urquel (sp?) or St Pauli Girl ????? SH
My son is downstairs giving a Trumpet lesson and I'm forbidden to interrupt so I'm good for another hour of posts here as "I've got noplace left to go" (What movie is that from? Hint it's a military/love film) SH
Less than 200 posts more on this thread by midnight and someone will get a 1776 grub. How cool would that be???? SH
Hi Matt, Happy 4'th. I invited some folks over from another thread, I hope I don't get deleted for spamming. Since I'm a director there I'll just restore it if it does <G> SH
Did you get my requests for some tunes??? Are we going to have fireworks tonight??? Did I read that correctly??? We need some cool classical music for the show if so. Firebird Suite or 1812 Overture SH
HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Everyone be safe with those fireworks AND PLEASE use a taxi or a designated driver :) SH
There's a cyber party going on at The Corner Bar (ticker, BAR) come join the fun
LOVE IT!!!!!! SH
That bell is ringing loud and clear LOL

Radar (MASH) loved grape Nehi. SH I think a variety of music on the Juke Box would be great, some Blues for sure, Jazz (but not the "smooth" stuff, yuck, a little Steely Dan, perhaps some Beatles well that's a start. SH
Sorry about the repeat on Radar, didn't read all of the posts before I posted it. I guess that's what happens in bars so it's appropriate
I don't have a tell. No one has ever been able to figure ne out because I HAVE NO STATEGY. I will say that I often go for inside straights. That's why I fit in so well on BB stocks <g>. I love to play with those gold dollar coins. They feel so cool in your hands. I play a mean game at darts as well but I'm horrid on the pool table. OK, down and dirty...who's in?? Hey, I just realized it's 6:30 on a holiday eve. I'll have a Gin n' Grapefruit now, thank you. SH
OK, I guess I can deal with that. This place is HUGE. I love to play cards too but it's hard to stay in a game when you've got to get up and go outside to smoke. SH
Thanks for the welcome Premier, I'm not too fond of unions though. They have their good points but I've seen them do some awful things as well. Can I smoke in here??? SH
Hello Paule, the tea is great. It's gonna take some time to get to know you all here. I've been reading some of the past posts just to get a clue. I'm living in Florida now. Been here for 20 years. Before that Philadelphia. Almost time for happy hour.
Carolyn, I prefer the neighborhood bar to the stuffy "high brow places" Lots more fun, IMO. Can we get a pool table and a dart board???? SH
<OT> Diver....thanks for putting up the good fight. If more people would do this perhaps we wouldn't be facing such high insurance costs etc because of unfounded lawsuits. My son was hit while driving his car by an intoxicated pedestrian. The man admitted to drinking a twelve pack of beer before attempting to run across six lanes of traffic. My son's car was in the fifth lane. We should have sued him for damages to the car. The insurance company, after getting notified by a local attorney that they were going after a huge amount of money, decided to settle. MY SON WAS NEVER CITED. Their reason was that it would be cheaper to settle than to fight it out in the courts. Needless to say, I was really angry. SH
It's a little early in the day for me so I'll have an iced tea. Stumbled into this place by accident. (Chas is responsible) Just thought I'd check it out as I'm always looking for new places to go. Get tired of the same old drunks after awhile. Is this a beer and whine joint or do you all serve hard stuff ? SH
<OT> Diver,we have a commercial lawn maintenance company and Chevy's are the ONLY trucks he'll buy. Buys 'em used because of the abuse they get and runs 'em into the ground. And these bad boys go FOREVER!!!! (But don't tell anyone, we don't want truck prices to go up any more than they are :) SH
Cabos, all I was trying to say was that perhaps Rich shouldn't have even discussed the breakin on this board to begin with. Now that they have realized that any discussion in an on going investigestation may compromise the case, in my opinion, they are doing the right thing. We have a new management team that seems to be doing the job and until I see evidence that they are not, I choose to stand behind them. They said all of the information with respect to the Private Placement and purchasing of shares by insiders will be in the Q filings. Do I want to hear more concrete information???? ABSOLUTELY. The filings are due out shortly so I'll be a little more patient. I came away from the meeting with a feeling that we are at a turning point and things are going to get much better. We've suffered through so much negative stuff over the past six months and are still here so I'm willing to wait and see what happens in the next couple of weeks. You have the right to feel whatever you are feeling. I understand completely. Call me naive if you wish but I'm in this for a while longer. SH
I just got back from a weekend in Crystal River and was reminded that my first post here (or on any other message board for that matter) was after a weekend we had spent there. I made an analogy to how refreshing this board was compared to "the other board". When I jumped into the waters here it had that same aaah feeling. Cool and unintimidating. Here it is, almost a year to the day and this board still has that same feeling. Although there have been times that a few posters have attempted to disrupt the integrity of the ideology of IHUB, it has remained the same civil place for honest dicussions and disagreements, without having degenerated into the kind of behavior that is evidenced on the other boards that I read. Thanks folks, for keeping IHUB a safe haven where we can discuss the issues and disagree, without the fear of being attacked and brutalized and thanks Matt, for creating this place where gentlemen and ladies can exchange ideas. SH
P.S. I wrote a little about the weekend on EXHIB
Got back from a weekend in Crystal River today. What a wonderful place!!!!! Saw a few Manatees including a cow with twins. It's sad to see the scars on their backs from the prop blades. I think they should make prop guards mandatory on all boats that ust the waters in the refuge area. There are too few of these magnificant creatures left in this state. Their curiosity makes them so much fun to be around. They will come right up to your boat to say "hello". We went tooling around some riverlets and some some pretty big Gators. Normally, when you get near them they'll go into the water. This trip we came upon one that just lay on the bank and let us get right up to it, it was exciting. It looked like it was about nine feet give or take. Saw a few River Otters and the usual Ospreys and Bald Eagles. It's nice to know that there are still places like that to go to. Even though the area is heavily used, it still manages to stay somewhat primordial if you get off the beaten paths. Anyone who ever visits Florida should definitely schedule time to go there. Weekdays are definitely preferable as the traffic is much lighter on the water. SH
