Futures are up sharply this morning after a China capital infuse. Hopefully that will push this up to previous levels for now.
There was a lot of good speculation here in regards to the Salas departure. Watts has been calling for this for a long time and one can't help but think this will be a positive. And if the newly appointed is from the outside, (Apple) is that in response to outside pressures interested in the crucible portfolio?
I don't believe Salas made a decision to seek other business directions, otherwise they would not have extended his pay for 9 months. We will have to wait and see how this shakes out but I feel a bit positive on this news.
Stiepp signed the termination agreement. Doubt he's leaving.
What's your point?
Right. The best part is they have made it through the pre qualification process. The numbers and the technology are inline to move forward to production.
The prototype will be proof of concept. Let's hope The RSM team can produce as they claim. If so, this should be a no brainer for an order.
Concerns about growing their user base? Wouldn't be.
The NFL will bring in millions of new users who will actively promote their teams.
This should be fun to watch.
1-4 reverse split. Hmm.
Love the Leo reference. Your, right on with this post.
This material has huge possibilities. But not with this management.
You said it all.
Bob, revenue is not "revenue". Don't you value your money? Management is a joke and everyone should be removed from top to bottom.
Stiepp is a puppet joke. Chung as CFO is just a CFO, he can't improve the situation from his position but still needs to go for many reasons.
Bob, it's time to hold the team accountable. You may be happy as a passive investor but the rest of us are not. Some want to make $, some like being part of a well oiled machine. This company is neither. Management draws a salary way above the average executive but over the span of years has managed to disassemble a company and has earned nothing.
What is the opportunity cost of the funds wasted on this team? Pie in the sky raise in PPS is only possible when a pumper or a newsletter takes this for a run. Break even won't take us to a buck. This needs a serious push and a whole lot of noise behind it. Like it or not, if you want some real coin from this dog, pray for some news and a well timed pump.
If there's one thing Stiepp isn't is quick on his feet. I listen carefully to the well crafted, canned answers and heard the same thing as last quarter. He says what he is told to say.
Are there new developments....yes.
Will this have an impact anytime soon....no
Do the patents matter.....no, not in the slightest.
I was in the Queue to ask one specific question but did not get the chance. Two callers? (Both plants) Give me a break!!
My question was: with so little revenues, what was your request for a salary increase based on? We would have likely had technical difficulties at that point.
Does anyone really give a rats arse to review the Swatch website. What swatch does was reflected in the revenues. Pathetic! I I have higher revenues in what I send to scrap than these idiots sell in parts and royalties.
I will not sell my shares tomorrow like most would think. I am not down based on how I have played this. Being straight up, I will look to buy when I see this go down and WILL sell those shares on the rise. I will hold my base shares because I have nothing to lose.
I still think this pathetic company may pull something off only because of their associations. I have seen the worst of the worst succeed because they knew a guy who knew a guy.
GLTA.
This is business not the playground. In this regard, I must side with Watts. Grace?
If they come to the CC with something great, then I will support your rah rah, but so far the one thing they should be revealing is profits which they haven't.
I must have missed something. How do you know the RFQs fell flat?
I have fielded hundreds of RFQs and never received an immediate "yes". Companies must be smart and spend every penny like it's their last if they want to thrive these days. Just like this board, companies do their DD. It's rare when you see a snap decision.
Unless you know for certain the RFQs have fallen flat, I would not be to worried. Sales is a process and can drag on.
I'm from Chicago but spend 4 months in Jamaica each year.
In don't think the knife contracts meet the parameters Stiepp mentioned in the CC but it was a first step. I am very unfamiliar with the knife world to ad value.
I've under estimated the potential revenue a knife contract could bring.

I don't know the market but these prices are crazy. What would the profits be for the manufacturer on a knife like this?
I think someone nailed it here, surgical tools seem like a good idea now.
How does one respond to this post without you taking offense and having the post deleted?
Often you post the investors are kept in the dark and that angers you but when they provide an update as such, you rip it to shreds and make comments about investors buying into forward looking statements. Isn't that what every company on the exchange does, provide forward looking statements?
Forward looking statements are what got an investor to buy in at $20 PPS and $3 PPS.
Everyone here is well aware of this companies past as we have read it over and over again.
On the positive side, this is a quick request after an RFQ which tells us the price per shot is competitive. This is also very quick after the symposium so it tells me the requestor sees value and wants to move quickly? It's very rare to see a company go from a quote to a prototype in a few weeks. Very rare unless they really see something posititive.
First to market usually blows away the competition.

I think it was pretty clear this was a marketing video. Most understand military testing protocol and that was not it...
If you think about the video, he was essentially comparing the hybrid knife to many other MA models. That is his differentiator and how he will spark interest in this new model to grow his sales. "It's new and different"
Though MA seems insignificant, it's easy to recall there was zero going on one year ago. One step at a time can take one a long way.
It's rare to find any manufacturing facility who can run at zero defect. Usually, that is said when your talking tens of thousands of pieces and up.
Not knowing the order size or the return rate isn't helping the investors to grasp the situation. MA may help shed some light on that but the Stiepp secret society will not. Old Tom seems more and more disgusting at every turn in the road.
It's inconceivable that this would happen on the very fist production order, but, I have been in this situation and it does happen. The only way it can properly be handled is to address it publicly and as honestly as possible. Otherwise it creates doubt with future prospects.
Agreed. Don't report on your hunches, it only hurts those unable to do their own DD? Baseless conviction is deadly.

I would think they would have thought of that and tested it.
It is true they have done a lousy job marketing BMG but they are scientists. Isn't that what scientists do, make stuff and test it?
I don't think your suppose to whack any knife with a hammer. Just sayin.
I guess I misread it. With so many who speculate this as fact, what fun would it be if it was not challenged.
Could happen but no use worrying now.
The revolving topic of stock splits? Is there any real facts to support the board is considering this? No! Rinse and repeat. That's how it works, right?
With that earnings report, not likely. Earnings down from 7.4mm to 2.8mm YoY.
What?? What do you know?
You claim to have some incredible research based on some report you paid a crazy amount of money for and you say "I bought today but what do I know".
Apparently nothing, like I always said.
We all hope good stuff is in the works but making up stories is never good.
Pretty sweet! Those usually come with a bikini team, right?
That's a pretty bold statement since you've proved virtually nothing.
Many may not like Watts delivery or joy of others pain, but he brings hard facts of the past which cannot be disputed?
We all hope you have some golden nugget tucked away as we will all benefit greatly with a real rise in PPS but that remains to be seen since it's nothing but lip service at this point.
You can always pick up the phone and give the number on the investors page a call.
Even if management did read this board which I doubt, most of the comments made here are so laughable their impact is likely different than your intent?
The exhibitor list is quite impressive. Let's hope they put together a great presentation of product because if you were ever to find a buyer for this tech, it would be at this show.
This is not a small potatoes show and not likely attended by a company out to scam their shareholders. This could be a defining moment more than anything else. Will this technology be viewed as viable to these industries?
Let's hope they put on their big boy pants, do some heavy lifting and bring back a few leads with potential.
If they can't, call the fat lady!
Day traders play with stocks that move more than this one. This is a stock played only by true loyalists like WATTS!
Oh no, not you. Let me share this with you.
"Something's rotten in Denmark.
I bought my son shares 6 years ago.
He said it was a stupid waste of money.
Looking at how much he has lost since then, I have to agree.
Only a fool owns this stock."
Those are your words.
So your buying more shares. The guy who owns more shares than anyone but the insiders?
I won't say it.
I see Sean O Keeffe listed as one of the inventors. Isn't he from Liquidmetal?
DD that you just won't share? Yawn! I was always told don't buy BS on any board. Bring your good to the table. If you won't your just full of BS! JMO!
You should watch late night TV, you be amazed to see the knife infomercials. Lots of crazy people out there who this stuff up.
Didn't say it was all doom and gloom? I was referring to you grasp on reality?
Sure Apple may use liquidmetal but they surely won't bed down with them? I buyout is more probable than your scenario.
You really think Apple would open their facility to Liquidmetal? Get real!
Have you seen what Apple does to their partners? Apple looks out for Apple, period.
I hope so! If Steipp had some juevos, he would test them and force their hand to buy them out! That's how business works.
A million dollar raise to someone who wasn't sure who they developed the sheet process with......"I think it was NASA". Very strange, how old is Steipp?
He did put a greater emphasis on the patents during this ER. Hopefully he's shopping out their value because this technology will be better served in another companies control.
I can't argue that. Always protected by the forward looking statement disclaimer is BS.
I remember that one? Funniest part was someone on this board giving a fake play by play of helicopters landing at a meeting site.
