Cyberlux Corporation Receives Intellectual Property Portfolio Valuation
RESEARCH TRIANGLE, N.C. (June 26, 2007) - Cyberlux Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: CYBL), a developer and manufacturer of solid-state lighting solutions, announced today that the Company has completed the valuation process of its Hybrid White Light (HWL) and its Hybrid Color Light (HCL) by an independent third party. The valuation in its "proof of concept" or pre-commercialization state was valued at 5.0 million dollars, almost twice the current market capitalization of the company. Adding to that the EverOn valuation from second quarter 2006, worth 4.8 million, the current IP portfolio valuation for Cyberlux is approaching a conservative ten million dollars, more than five times the current market value of the security.
“This partial valuation reflects both a segment of our existing product line, as well as our one-of-a-kind lighting technology that is exclusively licensed and proprietarily owned by Cyberlux Corporation,” said Mark Schmidt, President and COO of Cyberlux. “Having both our flagship retail product, the EverOn, and our innovative HWL and HCL technology valued was an important step toward presenting our intellectual properties in a proper context. As our patent values increase in parallel with generation of higher revenues, we become a much more valuable company to the benefit of our shareholders. We recognize the significant effort required in reaching our ultimate goals, but we are encouraged with the progress to date,” added Schmidt.
In November 2006, Cyberlux acquired the worldwide exclusive rights to the pending patents for the Scattered Photon ExtractionTM technology and methods developed at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. The SPE technology enables light-emitting sources to operate at a higher luminous efficacy where traditional phosphor or downconversion materials such as luminescence polymers and/or organic films as defined by University of California - Santa Barbara patent 5,966,393 are placed at locations remote from the photon-emitting solid-state inorganic light source.
In January 2007, the Company acquired the worldwide exclusive rights to patent 5,966,393 “Hybrid Light-Emitting Sources for Efficient and Cost Effective White Lighting and for Full-Color Applications” from the University of California - Santa Barbara. The technology patent defines the method and practice for creating a white or multi-colored lighting source by combining the photoluminescence of polymers and/or organic films with photon emissions from a solid-state inorganic light source. The
principle inventors include Nobel Laureate Dr. Alan Heeger and Dr. Steven DenBaars, Professor of Materials and Co-Director of the Solid-State Lighting Center at the University of California-Santa Barbara, who will advise the Company on the hybrid organic/inorganic lighting technology commercialization.
The EverOn contains 6 bright white and 4 amber diodaltm lighting elements that never require replacement. The EverOn has three light settings including a low, nightlight level; a medium, room-filling light level; and a high, spotlight level. The EverOn builds on the Cyberlux patent for lighting systems capable of generating long-term interim lighting, including the lighting device and associated methods for providing emergency or temporary lighting. Specifically, the patent addresses an electrochemical lighting system capable of providing prolonged illumination with the use of light emitting diodes (LEDs) as the illumination source. The patent embodies lighting devices capable of providing long-term interim lighting via an array of LEDs, the means for providing electrical energy to the LED array, the capability of multi-level light intensity consistent with light longevity and power source relationships including conventional A/C, solar, various electrochemical assemblies or all other means of electrical energy support.

Cyberlux Corporation Receives BrightEye System Order from the Louisiana National Guard
Cyberlux high-performance visible and covert lighting system to be used in National Guard deployments
RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. (June 26, 2007) – Cyberlux Corporation, (OTC Bulletin Board: CYBL), a leading provider of LED lighting solutions, announced today that the Company has received a new order for the BrightEye Visible and Covert Portable Illumination System from the Louisiana National Guard. The BrightEye VaC Portable Illumination System is the most advanced portable, battery-powered visible and covert lighting system developed by Cyberlux to address the portable lighting needs within the United States Armed Forces. The BrightEye System is a light weight, rapidly deployable illumination system that provides "stadium-type" illumination with an under 5 minutes of set-up time by a single service person.
The Louisiana State National Guard is the second of the fifty state-level Guard units to purchase a BrightEye system. Recently, the National Guard Bureau, the federal-level Guard organization, and the New York State National Guard each purchased BrightEye systems for field trials. On a global level, the National Guard require rapidly deployable portable covert and visible lighting systems for disaster response, border patrol support, homeland defense operations, and global military deployments. The Louisiana Unit will utilize the BrightEye system for disaster response during the current hurricane season and for Night Vision and Night Vision Goggle (NVG) operations during upcoming deployments.
“Receiving the Louisiana National Guard customer order is an important achievement because of their focus on disaster preparedness and signifies the importance of our BrightEye System’s rapid deployment capability and field performance,” said Mark Schmidt, president and chief operating officer for Cyberlux. “The Louisiana State Guard order demonstrates the commitment to excellence within the Louisiana Guard leadership and equips their Guard unit with the most advanced lighting technology. Additionally, this order, totaling $50,144 represents an important next step in the deployment of our BrightEye light-weight, portable battery-powered solid-state lighting system across all National Guard units in action around the globe.”
The BrightEye VaC Portable Illumination System is designed as a portable visible and night-vision compatible illumination system for general mission lighting, force protection, maintenance lighting, expeditionary base protection, disaster first responders,
and other rapidly deployable high-intensity lighting applications. Using advanced optics, advanced solid-state lighting technology, and light-weight battery power, all contained in an easily transportable wheeled case, the BrightEye system is capable of eliminating the space-consuming bulk, noise and energy consumption of the current generator-powered incandescent lighting systems. Unique to the marketplace, the BrightEye provides both visible white lighting and night-vision compatible covert lighting, capability not available in traditional lighting systems.
The BrightEye System is available through the General Services Administration (GSA) Federal Supply Schedule 56 for Specialty Lighting products under Cyberlux GSA Contract GS-07F-9409S and orderable part number 2CP0170.
About The National Guard
The National Guard, the oldest component of the Armed Forces of the United States and one of the nation's longest-enduring institutions, celebrated its 370th birthday on December 13, 2006. The Guard stood on the frontiers of freedom during the Cold War, deploying soldiers and airmen to fight in Korea; during the Berlin crisis of 1961-1962, the Guard reinforced NATO; during the Vietnam war, the Guard called almost 23,000 Army and Air Guardsmen to active duty, and during Desert Storm 1991, 75,000 Army and Air Guardsmen were called to help bring a swift end to the conflict.
Recently, the National Guard has seen the nature of its Federal mission change, with more frequent call ups in response to crises in Haiti, Bosnia, Kosovo, and the skies over Iraq. Most recently, following the attacks of September 11, 2001, more than 50,000 Guard members were called up by both their States and the Federal government to provide security at home and combat terrorism abroad. In the largest and swiftest response to a domestic disaster in history, the Guard deployed more than 50,000 troops in support of the Gulf States following Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
Today, tens of thousands of Guard members are serving in harm's way in Iraq and Afghanistan, as the National Guard continues its historic dual mission, providing to the states units trained and equipped to protect life and property, while providing to the nation units trained, equipped and ready to defend the United States and its interests, all over the globe.
