There's always a buyer....... it's just a matter of price.
Well DAR, one thing we know is the market is irrational...... I was hoping for some upside numbers above the pre-release but I should know by now that they never happen with AMRN. We do a pre-release every quarter and nothing really changes for the actual. With that said, I didn't see anything worse than what was stated at the pre-release so I treated it like the stock went on sale again. I will keep accumulating at perceived dips. Holt is extremely incentivized to get the share price up so I'm going to gamble that he has a plan to do so.
I fit the definition DAR....... bought another 1000 shares to add to my existing pile of misery.
Oh well.... I'll be an optimist and say "at least they can buy back more shares for $50 mil now :-P
Well DAR, it was worth a shot......some day we will get an upside surprise. I hope it's soon.
Excellent summary table........ antibluechip.
Kiwi, it's probably worth revisiting the EVAPORATE study findings. The whole point of the study was to determine the effects of V on plaque in the arteries. I don't recall the specifics of calcified plaque versus any other plaques but it was very encouraging as I recall.
Skip, you are so right....... I remind myself though that we are are only scratching the surface with the potential of this drug and the markets we are in.... if we can get solid traction and growth in the EU, China, and ROW, it will have been well worth the wait and all the averaging down I've done.
Captn, another excellent contribution to trying to align the FDA with reality....... they really are deficient in staying current with the science. Our taxpayer dollars at work.
Excellent post DMC8..... very informative. LDL get's a bad rap when in fact it's critical to good cellular function. The problem is when it get's damaged. So one of the key mechanisms of action seems to be that it is 75% effective at keeping your LDL from being oxidized. Maybe that's the magic of V.
It usually stops as soon as you are frustrated enough to sell your shares. It quadruples the next day.
I will not be surprised at a correction........ it's clear that the Fed is in no hurry to lower interest rates because inflation is not co-operating.
Wow Zip..... that's fantastic..... best of health to you.
Light volume day again but 500 of those are mine. I bought at $1.20 so it's pegged there. The stock gods do not favor me.
About time......seriously, there were trades of 2, 5, 6 shares at a time.... maybe even 1 share unless my eyes were playing tricks on me.
I'd still need to have my Dr provide an off label script, correct?
So true Jasbg........ but it's just one of those stages in life that you have to pass through
I take Ultra EPA Concentrate 500mg x 4 because I don't have a script for V.
That happened to me in my teens.......
No kidding Nukem....... I'm seeing huge 2 share, 4 share, 6 share blocks being traded...... it's like trading is halted with leaks
Totally....... most studies are sponsored by a BP that benefits if the results fit their hypothesis. If the results don't fit, the results are buried or stated as 'need further studies"....
Gussettville, I hope that gets resolved for you and your father get his V much cheaper. I like that fact this his Dr prescribed V as a preventive measure. I'm impressed by the the fact that your dad is 87 and lifelong LDL over 250...... since he can't tolerate statins (which are over prescribed anyway) is another example of his LDL cholesterol level isn't going to be a cause of CVD issues..... everything I read tells me that older people with high cholesterol tend to live longer than those without it. Your dad is a great example of that. I wish him the best.
Great song lizzy..... I heard it earlier this week
Warm up the private jet Lizzy........ once this thing takes off towards an overpriced BP buyout, we're picking up a few of these posters that we haven't put on ignore and partying somewhere in the world.
Threat of delisting gone for awhile and Holt buying shares should create a tailwind today and tomorrow.
I'm with you Jasbg...... I'm one of those fishies....
Watching the volume on Yahoo finance for AMRN....... it's like watching fish nibbling on a worm.....22 shares.....5 shares.... lame
Capt'n..... you rock! Your illustration skills are awesome.
Looks like we are pegged at $ 1.195....... I just picked up 500 more at 1.198 and it immediately dropped back to 1.195
Pinch me!
Nice finish to the day!
Thanks Capt'n............ 6.5% increase over the previous month if my math is good. We'll take it.
Delisting isn't the worse thing in the world....... I follow Luckin Coffee currently delisted since 2020 due to accounting irregularities. It dropped down to $1 ish and has gone as high as $35 since then and is still delisted as LKNCY. I made some decent money playing that one and expect much much more on AMRN.
Thanks Nukem........ this loss is on McVay....... brain fart decisions taking the ball out of the hands of his best player..... the refs didn't do me any favors either but it is what it is. I'm thinking the Niners will ultimately take it. Although a Lions vs Bills SB would be great for the league and those cities. They'd probably end the game in a tie
Roger Daltrey doesn't think so either.... and I agree. It's a lucrative business sadly...... we get the population hooked on the sugar diet and screw up the environment, then we create therapies to help people live with the results. Perhaps some researcher with a conscience will stumble upon the cure and then leak it out to an Elon Musk type who is more interested in helping humanity.

Nice....... they use a placebo that is far from inert and terrible for the body.... the process pretty much removes anything worth anything.
Corn oil is 100% bad fat and provides 122 calories per tablespoon (15 ml). It’s mostly made of polyunsaturated omega-6 fats and contains some vitamin E.
The following processes that are involved remove many vitamins and minerals and may even introduce harmful substances:
Hexane extraction. Corn is washed with a solution containing a chemical called hexane that causes it to release oil. Hexane has been shown to negatively impact the nervous system in humans and animals (11Trusted Source).
Deodorization. Undesirable smells and tastes are removed from the oil, along with some healthy compounds. Prior to this step, the smell and taste of corn oil make it unsuitable for cooking (12Trusted Source, 13, 14).
Winterization. Waxes and saturated (solid) fats are removed from the oil so that it stays liquid at low temperatures. Without winterization, many vegetable oils would solidify in cold temperatures (15).
You are correct North........ I gave AMRN the benefit of the doubt that they would actually include the reason why they are shouting these statistics from the roof tops.
AMRN should just keep bombarding countries health agencies with this information:
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, heart disease is the leading cause of death in the U.S., with one person dying from cardiovascular disease every 33 seconds. Nearly half of American adults have cardiovascular diseases, according to an American Heart Association report in 2019. I'm sure any country with a "western diet and lifstyle" sees similar patterns.
You did your part Dusty...... we just chip away and reduce the float..... the big payday will make it all worthwhile
Understood...... that's a brutal hand to be dealt........ I like to ride.... I ride a 2015 Harley Road Glide CVO........ but only when the weather is great. Which is limited here in the northeast. Stay well....
