Also Ford Europe sponsored the Flyboard Air flight that set the Guiness record for longest flight: http://fordauthority.com/2016/05/ford-europe-sponsors-world-record-breaking-hoverboard-flight-video/ . Will Ford sponsor the demo of the Flyboard Air in the US in the coming weeks?
Franky said in the CC he is bringing the Flyboard Air to the US in about a month, Previously he has gotten Ford to sponsor his water Flyboard. Wonder how much income he gets from sensors and who will sponsor the demo of the Flyboard Air in the US? Here is the Ford sponsored ad for the Flyboard:
Great find, hadn't seen the Hollywood Reporter article looks like Franky got some attention with the Hollywood crowd. Bodes well for when he comes to the US to demo the Flyboard Air which in the conference call he said he would in about a month, expect lots of press and attention when that happens!
Also of course from their own website: http://zapatapropulsion.com/our-ip/
This lists two more that have been applied for but not yet granted:
http://patents.justia.com/inventor/frankie-zapata
The demand for the podracer could be really huge next year. Franky Zapata seems to have a good grasp of what would be the next big thing for the water based recreation market. This could push the earnings much higher than the $2 million Euro they were from the existing product line by 10x or more.
Also the company will have no debt and $20 million in cash, so that woulld seem to be a factor in the ultimate share price.
In the CC Zapata talked about a new water product. Also in another part seemed to say that after the acquisition by IMSC he expected it to help them penetrate the US water based entertainment market quite a bit as they had not been able to previously. This is where he tells a little about this new product it sounds like they will introduce:
Okay. So the new product that we have under development and as I want to call the Podracer and that we call the hoverboard [region]. So that's the -- the top product that we have under development that is on -- it's not for industry or [protection], it's just to excite, to continue the recreational business.
So the Podracer is some kind of motorcycle that flies above water. So this machine is connected to the Jet Ski with the same system like the one kind of fire hose and it is able to self balancing, like the -- we use the same technology as we developed on the Flyboard Air. We give the ability to everybody to fly in less than 10 seconds without a chain and to be able to enjoy [the] excitement directly and you then should have an instructor on the Jet Ski so -- we have -- we feel that its potential to increase even the market by further or even more.
If I am reading what he said in the CC correctly, it seems like he has a plan to introduce a new water Flyboard next year and also sell many more units than previously into the US. This may be a hint of how he expects to achieve higher profits, I am guessing, from this part of the CC, and would seem to imply a larger profit than in the past few years by a factor of 3 or 4. That will not get to 26 million but based on numbers elsewhere in the CC perhaps 6 or 8 million? Just trying to figure some things out about possible earnings, and I may be completely wrong. Also in another part of the call Liscouski said they see a lot of applications for the water Flyboard that have not been explored so he may be hoping to get some sales in those new areas using either the existing product or the new water Flyboard product. This is the part of the call where Zapata mentions plans for next year:
Franky Zapata - Zapata Industries - CEO
The vision of the company? So today, we want to expand our market. So as I explained before, we have new product coming. We realized during the last full year that it is very, very important for our water business to create a new product every year because we have some [time] and people, every time you create something, they want to buy it so that increase the volume of sales.
It's very important for us to create new products. So this year, we focus our attention on the [half] project and that we realized that we have to create new product every year. So and to be able to [grab] that also the reason why we look at projection with the Implant Sciences to increase our potential, regarding the R&D money that we need for the R&D. And in this time, we hired more people to research and development so we will put this two new water products on the market.
Also, the transaction with Implant Sciences will give us the ability to go through the American -- North American business that is for sure to be only the market three times bigger than the -- our one market that for us was very, very hard to reach it.
So I really believe that just the U.S. market could be even developed than the market that we have today if we compare with the, for example, the Jet Ski sales. If you compare the Jet Ski sales, today in France, we are able to reach about 30% of the Jet Ski market. So if, like, we sell in France about 1,200 Jet Ski, and we are able to sell between 300 and 400 machines in France.
And if you compare to the Jet Ski market in the U.S., that it's almost 65,000 [units]. You can easily imagine it could do a good job like we can do in France because we are very [impressed] and on the machine, we can prove themselves. So that's the two main direction that we look for sure for next year.
Doesn't look like you were right.
Something smells odd here! Maybe Fred has insider info?
i hope that Fred Entandance guy is right. He disagrees with everyone else on the effects of that regulation on VAPE. Wonder if he has a connection with the company?
And the article you just posted says this:
The final rule features the word “marijuana,” but only when discussing the likelihood that youths who use e-cigarettes will eventually use marijuana. Contrary to internet myth and concerns from a whole slew of our readers, the rule does not provide for the FDA to regulate marijuana products. This is consistent with the FDA’s previous policies on marijuana. The agency has not regulated marijuana products (so far) other than prohibiting marijuana sellers from making medical claims about marijuana products. This new rule on vaping products does not appear to have an immediate impact on marijuana, but it could help position the FDA to take a more active role in regulating marijuana.
And at $1 its $5M. I wouldn't throw away the $2.5M difference. If the buyout is above $1.40 to activate a lot of the current management's options, then he would be throwing away $7M - more than what he got paid when he was terminated, as you just pointed out. To do that out of spite and carrying a grudge? Personally I don't think so. Anyway, as mr-truthbetold just pointed out, the share price games were being played well before his departure, there always have been mystery sellers of large amounts of shares over the past few years. I'm much more inclined to believe it is a competitor working to keep the share price down, so the buyout sp will be low. There's any number of forces that have been working against the company the past few years, and I'm sure they won't stop until a buyout occurs and they no longer can work the share price down.
Good point and agree 100%. More likely some competitor trying to keep the share price low. Other times it seemed like small amounts were used to sell to lower the price, so someone could eventually pick up larger amounts at a cheaper price after several days of working the sp down.
Maybe you would, but I and I'm sure a lot of others wouldn't throw 50% of a rather large pile of money away just out of spite and carrying some sort of grudge. Not everyone is spiteful and carries grudges like that, some people are professionals and know it was just business, whatever happened there. Also there were reports that Bolduc was at the annual meeting and was quite cordial with Dr. McGann and others. With his "golden parachute" he actually made out quite well financially and actually for that reason alone there's not much reason he would be angry. He got a year and a half salary if I remember correctly among other things. He still stands to benefit from change of control too, and it is in his best interests to see the share price as high as possible. Good try though at stirring up a rumor that Bolduc is the mystery seller due to spite and out of some grudge.
Funny how she all of the sudden isn't saying anything, after all her junk posts about companies that trade on the OTC, completely ignoring anything that was obviously brewing within IMSC. Here's hoping she shorted a huge amount of shares in the 0.30's!
Agreed. Glenn's not the one who caused the stock to drop from $1 to what it is today. They have brought the SP back down to where it was when it was still even a question whether they would get TSA approval or not and down to 5 year lows.
So much for the theory posted here recently that they weren't announcing any product sales due to a pending sale of the company, as it wouldn't make sense to do that.
Where is your proof of this? You are stating this to be a fact, the way you post it.
You seem awfully stirred up that someone pointed out you were off by a factor of 3 on the mileage. Then again that's not such a big sin compared to your efforts to make it sound like I was untruthful in my post about the B220's in DFW.
I have no problem with L3 and the B220, if that happens. Did you want people to think IMSC is only 7 miles from Boston Logan? That is not my definition of "minutia". I just corrected that piece of info, you live in the Boston area, I'm surprised you posted that IMSC is just 7 miles from Boston Logan.
Not that it matters, but IMSC's headquarters is a lot more than 7 miles from Boston Logan Int'l - more like a bit over 20 miles. Proximity to the company probably isn't going to determine whether TSA deploys the company's equipment at that particular airport sooner than others, anyway. Funny, you want us to believe everything you post but you try to label other people's posts as not being truthful. I know what I saw at DFW, your comments trying to throw doubt on it notwithstanding
Umm, I don't get what you are implying... I take it back, I know exactly what you are implying. FYI, as hard as it is for you to believe, I was away from the internet while on travel on a business trip working 16 hour days during that time, so today was the first day I could post. Simple as that.
First to see a QS-B220 in use at a US airport? I never said that, YOU DID! Don't put words in my mouth. I am quite certain I'm not the first, not by a long shot. Sorry the others who saw it didn't report it here, oh wait, someone else did, and he saw it two weeks ago and posted yesterday. OK, he said he thought it was a QS-B220 but my point remains the same, about your comment toward me.
I flew from DFW to LAX on Monday. At DFW I saw 2 QS-B220's which made me very happy to see them. So much for all the crazy speculation being posted here about not deploying them so another company's labels could be put on them after buyout. I added more yesterday at 0.28.
Right, I can't believe he made it sound like I was making apologies for management! That's ridiculous! And it was another poster, not I, who brought up Liscouski being on another board of directors!
And to be fair, a quick search reveals Bob Liscouski was on Viscount's Board of Directors. In that case, to make a similar comparison to IMSC, one has to take the entire time he was on IMSC's BOD and then became President, not just from the time he became President of IMSC.
Right, and let's remember too that one person's arrival at a company can't be said to cause the entire amount of the stock's rise or gain during his tenure. There may be other factors, I know nothing about Viscount but will have to try and research it a bit when I get time.
Then why are you investing in a company that you believe management are liars? That doesn't make any sense.
OK, thanks for the info, I stand corrected. Of course, that basically says if a given stock does get halted, it is probably not good.
There's no such thing as a halt on OTCBB. Anyway, 3500 shares just traded at 10:21:39 AM, right about the same time as your post.
If it is going to go up as we approach Feb. 15 why are you telling him to wait to buy? That doesn't make much sense.
Glad BradyBronco pointed that out about the fact they did not read it here when finding out about the CATSA award being posted, I was going to. In fact, it made it clear they do not read the message board, they found out when someone called them and mentioned the CATSA award was posted on some message board. It also once again made clear that they do not control when PR's about awards like this are published, they have to get approval from the agency.
I would assume the latter, this is in addition to the $5 million which said were "already shipped". This sounds like it will be shipped first half of this year.
The PR said it is $5 million of product shipped worldwide over the past 2 months. Seems like the CATSA award would be new and not yet shipped, so hopefully that means it is not part of the $5 million.
The fact is what you wrote was incorrect.
Sorry.
Just trying to correct misinformation. Work with me bro....
