And at $1 its $5M. I wouldn't throw away the $2.5M difference. If the buyout is above $1.40 to activate a lot of the current management's options, then he would be throwing away $7M - more than what he got paid when he was terminated, as you just pointed out. To do that out of spite and carrying a grudge? Personally I don't think so. Anyway, as mr-truthbetold just pointed out, the share price games were being played well before his departure, there always have been mystery sellers of large amounts of shares over the past few years. I'm much more inclined to believe it is a competitor working to keep the share price down, so the buyout sp will be low. There's any number of forces that have been working against the company the past few years, and I'm sure they won't stop until a buyout occurs and they no longer can work the share price down.
