hamp: by "run the stock" do you mean pay for pumps? GLTA &GO RHCO
Hawkshaw: According to OTCMarkets.com the latest O/S is 43,476,197 shares. Per the the 10K of 16/07/12 the O/S was 42,969,714. It appears to me that the O/S has increased by 507K shares during that time. The 10-Q of 03/01/13 states "We received $440,000 in proceeds from promissory notes and issuances of common stock for the nine months ended December 31, 2012." So the company has been selling shares. I hope that they did most of the selling last year when the price about 4X what it is today. I have no problem with the minor dilution that we have seen this far. I am more concerned with the the threat from the people who want to shut down fracking and salt water disposal wells because of the perceived threat of earthquakes generated by fracking and salt water disposal. GO IPRC
Sure read like good news, but IPRC down 0.0002. So, who is selling??
This is about ARNA, but it is kinda scary-as an example of what is floating around on the internet. Should I be paranoid of Google? It looks like Google knows that I have an interest in Belviq. I Googled Youtube looking for a certain pedal steel guitar song and look what popped up next to it!!
Jordi: according to http://stockpromoters.com , it appears to me that RCHO is not paying any promoters to pump their stock. (Sometimes promotions are done by independent 3rd parties.) The last record they have is:
Promoter: Triple Crown Penny Stocks
Compensation: None Listed or Image Compensation,

Welcome to this board.
New SA article on NBY and competitors. Wish it had come out last week! I'm going to nibble on this one tomorrow. GLTA

What data? NEW data??? How a about a link? Thanks
I also got some of that bunch, same way I got my original position a few weeks ago. Don't understand it, but do understand that management has a lot of its own money in this. Does anyone know if the T/A is gagged? =

Thanks for the letter template. I used the official web site of REP Scott Peters, who is both my AND Arena's congressman, to email the below:
*******************************************************
Message Subject: Slow DEA approval of newly FDA approved drug made by Arena Pharmecuticals (San Diego Company)
Message Text:
I am writing regarding the extraoridinary amount of time it is taking the DEA to schedule a drug classification for "Belviq" also known as "Lorcaserin". To date it is 271 days and counting, the average time is approximately 200 days, and the longest, historically, is approximately 325 days. Belviq has been tested and has low potential for abuse, it has been approved by the FDA for the treatment of obesity at this time, and other possible indications are for diabetes, and also addiction cessations such as smoking, and possibly drug addiction. The FDA has recommended it be classified schedule IV.
While obesity is a national issue, it is a local one for us because the developer and manufacturer of "Belviq" is a San Diego company located at 6154 Nancy Ridge Drive, San Diego, CA 92121. Arena Pharmecutials, which provides high-tech employment to 293 people in our area, has a number of other promising drugs in its pipeline which could provide employment for many more San Diegans in the future. Your assisstance in this matter would be appreciated.
Producing in far-away places is a bit scary. From posts I read at the time I first bought in (early 2012) I thought that security was going to be a big concern with Monster Silk. Unethical workers could sneak out cocoons to other silk growers and soon "knockoff" Monster Silk would be everywhere. Or does Kim feel with modern security techniques this is not an issue any longer? Thanks. GO KBLB
The thing that I like about this arrangement is that the owners (management) have lots of skin in the game. GO RHCO
ooops! looks like I should have read all the other posts after yours because we're all saying about the same thing. Then it must be true!
ICEVRE3:This may be slightly OT. I have never sold a share of CTIX, but during 2012, I did try swing trading a few other stocks and ETFs. When I got my 1099 from my broker I was shocked to find out many of my losing trades were "Wash Sale Disallowed". I do not see how these so called High frequency traders can make money unless nearly all of their trades are profitable. Is there a Board on IHub where these topics are discussed? Thanks for any responses.GO CTIX. (Perhaps my error was in thinking the time limit was 30 calendar days. Is it 30
market days?)
Great post. Happy to see that your knowledge and interests extend outside the world of biotech. GO CTIX
"Its always nice to dream, isn't it".
So true and I am glad to read that you are limiting this "dream" money to a few thousand shares (for now)and not going "all in" or "fully loading the boat" etc. Remember we are talking about cancer(s) here. I am long CTIX to the full 10% of my available funds. This is not only because it is a recommended portfolio practice, but is also due to my own life experience with cancer. About 15 years ago my oldest niece came down with Hodgkins Lymphoma a few years after she graduated from college. My blood was tested and it was determined that my platelets were a match for her and would be a good help in her chemotherapy, so they hooked me up to one of those platelet sucking machines for 4 hours. I made 4 more platelet trips of more than 500 miles to her hospital over the next 6 or so months. On the the 5th donation, the chemo nurse told me that this would probably be my last donation because my niece was doing really well. And she did look great when I was able to visit her after the donation process was finished. All of my family members who were there were so happy that the nightmare of the past nine or so months would be over soon. Less than a year later my niece was dead due to a raging comeback of the cancer. I understand that today Hodgkins Lymphoma treatment has made huge advances, and perhaps they have tests today that would have detected those few morphed or surviving cancer cells that my niece's doctors couldn't find 15 years ago. But I have a healthy respect for cancer, and probably always will. I have high hopes for CTIX and am thankful that we have people like Dr. Menon and Leo Ehrlich guiding this company. I also am in debt to the many posters here who provide such great DD and share their knowledge. GO CTIX.
It would be interesting to see if the recent 3D SEISMIC data shows that the location of the plugged well was definitely not a good spot to drill.
Added myself as a follower this AM though I have been an owner since last week. Hope this can work out even 1/10 as well as some of the possibilities stated. GLTA
blackhawks: my post seconding your callout of the repetitive and erroneous posts from a member of this group concerning the rainbow coral issue was deleted even though I did not mention any other member by name. All I talked about was that a FACTUALLY WRONG post was being copied and posted over and over again. If repeatedly making and posting erroneous info about AMBS is not a violation of the TOS, then the TOS needs to be revised. Perhaps ADVFN is permitting this nonsense to go on in order to force us all into paying subscriptions which have unlimited IGNORES. I've used all of my free ones on this one board, and could use 4 more if I had them. Guess that I'm just lucky that none of the other boards that I have stocks in have this problem.
I think that I have read all the posts concerning Dr. Benedyk's appointment to the BOD. Nowhere to I see anything about his compensation.
Can BOD members be paid in stock? If his compensation is in salary, shouldn't this be made public? Thanks for any info. GO AMBS
Nice post at time when we could all benefit from it. Added 200 to my modest stash today. GLTA
hello c02356: I just wanted to make a comment to one of your other regular posters since I do not have PM. However, I got interested in FASC because I do happen to own a pellet stove. Last winter, I experienced that bags of pellets were actually being rationed in San Diego. The pellet stove store that was closest to my home went out of business last year so getting pellets has become a hassle. GLTA
Please save those dream numbers for your biotech posts.
CoachL: Thankfully, the PPHM board is better than 80% of the other boards, especially when it comes to finding worthwhile posts to read. I am in one stock where I have had to use all 5 of my ignores to stop wasting time looking through constant repeated (copied & pasted) spamming. AT least there is none of that here.
If you really do have a 2 year horizon, buy it and don't look at this board for two years. It seems that many of the posters here are unhappy unless AMBS doubles every month. Good luck to you.
Great post Trope! Your counter-counterintuitive analysis is especially important for an unknown stock like CTIX. At least my understaning of SP reaction to PRs has been moved up a notch. GLTA
Great post, Wildhorses. Your story illustrates a point that is true in many other endeavors in life as well as researching companies. It is sad that past events like the 2nd line NSCLC fiasco may have weakened PPHM management's bargaining power, but I feel that we have got to get a BP on board (preferably for COTARA to start). My entry in loofman's contest shows my modest expectations. But I'd be elated with this event, because I believe that a partnership would be the catalyst needed to start a long uptrend for this stock.
My Interactive Briokers Trader Work Station shows "last" at 0.1000 + 0.0130, but no BID or ASK value. I thought that there was no "Premarket" for OTC stocks.
MWM: Sorry that I do not have PM and have to contact you publicly. Want to thank you so much for your great DD last August on that supposedly "Superior" oil company that was supposed to have all those leases in the Mississippian Lime Play. I dumped 95% of my position back then and it has saved me a whole lot of heartache because the stock was just revoked. Person mark for you.
Hey bio: Welcome to HENC. I'm with you on 2 of your bio picks and am glad to see that you are obviously impressed with the DD on HENC. I'm hoping that we won't have a "bear raid" on this stock as the drilling of the first well nears completion the way it sometimes happens to bio stocks on FDA approval/disapproval day. GLTA
My bad. Was just trying to provide help to a fellow poster about which sources of information on ARNA are credible and which should be viewed with suspicion. Go ARNA.
I could never understand the part about NEWC being interested in investing in a railway when water transport of their coal by barging it down the Magdalena River is available. River transport is always cheaper than rail transport, especially when the fully loaded barges would be going downstream with the current and coming back empty against the current. According to Wikipedia, the Magdalena has an average flow of 7,200 cu meters per second - with a high flow of 12,000 and low flow of 2,000 meters per second. So it looks like there is wet and dry season each year. The only hiccup I see is that there might be shallow spots in the river during the dry season. Go NEWC!
Got an e-mail today with text of a recent blog by a Piper Jaffray analyst. Per StockPromoters.com website SSH has not paid for any pumps (yet).
*****************************************************************
Just days ago, Piper Jaffray's serior analyst Thomas J. Gunderson initiated coverage of Sunshine Heart Inc (NASDAQ:SSH) with a $10/share price target, letting clients know that the firm was anticipating shares to outperform relative to the median of the group of stocks covered by the analyst.
"SSH has developed a type of ventricular assist device (VAD) that is designed to enhance the efficiency of the heart for patients suffering from heart failure. We view SSH as having passed a number of development and regulatory hurdles including IDE approval for a pivotal trial in the US for ultimate FDA approval," wrote Gunderson in his report.
The Piper Jaffrays report indicates: "We are intrigued with SSH's C-Pulseâ„¢ device given the device's minimally invasive approach to enhancing the heart's pumping action, while implanted outside of the blood stream. This approach avoids complications with stroke or thrombus which have emerged with traditional VADs, and represents a key clinical benefit. An additional benefit relates to up front and total cost of treatment, with an anticipated ~$60K ASP relative to LVADs which are priced at $100K+, shorter hospitalization times, and a lower incidence of re-hospitalization post-implant."
"According to the American Heart Association there are 5.1 million Americans suffering from CHF. Clinical literature puts the proportion of NYHA Class III heart failure at ~20% of that number or roughly ~1.0M potential
patients. Assuming a 10-20% applicability hurdle for potential implants, based on comorbidities, cost/reimbursement, and a $60K ASP, we project a $6-$12 billion addressable market for C-Pulse."
After faltering a bit in mid-January-- thanks to now verifired as false street rumors that the firm would do a major dillutive financing-- SSH shares have begun to bounce back steadily on relatively low volume. Quietly over the past few sessions, shares have regained momentum to the upside and could go much higher as the shorts who had caused short interest in the stock rise 20% without any other catalyst, continue to quietly cover (see table below).
Perhaps more interestingly, there are rumors circulating that the company has caught the attention of industry giant, Medtronic, Inc. (NYSE:MDT) whose market cap is nearly $47B. The takeover/partnership candidate chatter was fueled on Monday, after the former Chair Medtronic's Corporate Research and Development Council, Mr. Warren S. Watson, was suddenly inserted into the Board of Directors- replacing Dr. William Peters, who gave no indication about his departure, other than to say that the "resignation was not based on any disagreement with the Company."
We are optimistic that shares, who currently trade well off from their 52-Week highs of $22.90, will continue to climb given that there are a number of near-term catalysts-- including initial patient enrollment in US and
European clinical trials expected this quarter (1Q13). We also note that additional clinical data should be forthcoming from Sunshine Heart's 50 patient European post market surveillance study.
We see SSH as an attractive trade candidate for a short-squeeze play and like the potential growth outlook that is well above the general medtech average. Furthermore, given the strong bounce off support levels, we like he play's risk-reward ratio for higher upside at current levels.

When AMBS hits 20 cents I will gladly use some of my profits to subscribe to IHub for a level which would give me unlimited IGNOREs so that I wouldn't have to waste my time sifting thru pumpers like the one you refer to. Also, wish IHub would revise the ABOUT part of the PROFILE page include an "Ignored By" statistic. This would send a powerful message to habitual pumpers.

My wife developed mild psoriasis about 4 years ago. Fortunately, the ares affected are hidden when wearing normal street clothing. Thank goodness she never saw any of those pics on the internet of folks who had psoriasis on their faces!! She subscribes to the National Psoriasis Foundation which puts out a small but informative magazine.
One article spoke of how some psoriasis sufferers have obtained some relief by eliminating soy products (soybean oil, soy flour, etc) from their diets. (soy lecithin is not a problem) Since my wife had become a vegetarian a few years before, there was a lot of tofu and other soy products in her diet in order to obtain daily protein. Eliminating soy really worked!! The affected areas shrunk to a much smaller size and less intense color/texture, and new areas pop up much less frequently and are quite mild. The problem is, finding soy-free foods in the supermarket is a real task. Read the labels on the supermarket products you buy next time. There is soy is almost everything! Hope Purisol will be real help to everyone with this nasty affliction.
mpragmatist: thanks for your many thoughtful and informative posts. The chuckle I had at the end of this one was the result of your great punch line.
The difference between lower primates is so imperceptible that one or two might post on this board, and not be immediately obvious.

WarMachine: Thank you helping me to make up my mind to get out of this POS (weeks ago) with a small profit. Person mark for you.
Drano: I would like to put a comment on this part of your post:
If you have a MARGIN account they can lend them out without your permission.
My stock funds are in a margin account with Interactive Brokers (I.B.). They have consistently told me that it is I.B.'s policy to make stocks available for shorting only from margin accounts which are using margin at that time. If I do not use margin myself (which I do not), none of my shares can be loaned out for shorting. I do not know if other brokers follow this policy, but I am happy that I.B. has such a policy. None of my CTIX shares can be shorted.
