allow me to amend that last statement: IF bear stearns hadn't started the landslide with their subprime infection, GM still would've limped along and lost money in north america for the foreseeable future... maybe something good will come out of all this, but i do feel for longtime shareholders. eom.
i used to work for the chevy ad account and i know several longtime gm management folk who're probably pretty bummed about now... it's a shame, indeed. thank jimmy cayne, warren spector, cioffee and crew @ bear stearns for all this.
QUOTE FROM NEW ARTICLE: GM's existing shareholders will probably lose everything.
"It's fair to say that there would be little to no recovery," the official said.
wow - great interview here:

handsome, isn't he..?
hello, old friends. seems the last time we were all together, this baby got up and walked across the room... the question now is: will it walk AND talk this time..? or simply spit up? let's discuss amongst ourselves... ~cord
HI VI! don't have premium acct here anymore so i cannot reply to PM's... this thing should start to move end of week and into february... i'm calling .0005 by next thursday... imho, of course!
nice to see FFGO back at the top of the forum hotlist... eom
thanks, blues! same to you and all the loyal ffgo-ers who've held out hope and hung onto their shares as well!
oy vey. ffgo is going to get to my gaderum again. it's making me maschugana... hey - that's 3 yiddish terms in a row... and i'm irish! see? anything's possible... go ffgo! go!
NICE TRY. divi will come... eom
if you had 2 million shares, you now have 40. but don't count on selling them for 5 bucks a piece!
PLO - the answer is in the email: "I can assure you that Mr. Ingala and myself are as equally disappointed with the non-sale of the Company all though in the end we believe we made the correct decision." (post #33739)
i just spent 3 years in detroit.
i was downtown in the rencen (gm hqtrs) almost daily. the number of folks i knew who worked for either gm or the unions was limitless - all one big, dysfunctional, unhappy family. and i'm here to tell you that the unions have the big 3 by the balls. union workers were actually paid full salaries to show up at work and nap or play cards or go online and play the stock markets... i have no sympathy for the unions. they ruined the u.s. auto industry, imho. and i have no sympathy for the big 3 either... if gm is stupid enough to offer lifetime healthcare for workers and continue to fund it's notorious jobs bank - where their unemployed go to collect as much as 85% of their wages for up to 4 years - then they deserve bankruptcy. i now live in the south where non-union auto workers for bmw, toyota, hundyai, kia and nissan are all having a very merry christmas! detroit sucks. burn it to the ground!
i'm not crazy about galo setting the situation up to look like it's him against the rest of the board... good cop/bad cop? come on! we're not 8-year-olds here! or is this simply handing him the keys to the safe exit door so he doesn't have to fear legal or otherwise unsavory criticism??? the vote's been cast - they can have ongoing meetings and discussions til the cows come home - or at least tell us that's what they're doing... there will be no cash divvy, imho. - cord
seriously. we already know the company has great potential and value... now translate that into the stock price.
IMHO, it feels like "THE DEAL" fell through and they're gonna stall and try to sell us on mergers/acquisitions/new contracts... i think you can kiss the divvy goodbye. just my 2 cents. -cord
PFFFFFFFFFFFFFTTTTT... that's the sound of the air being let out of BIHC - one pr at a time...
that's awesome! i hope he goes to jail.
that's my question as well!
GL all. eom.
try 638,627,750... eom
for sure. lesson(s) learned. along with ffgo, hglc, bkmp, nubv, wehi, akyi... wait! i'm starting to name EVERY PINKY IN THE BUZZCLOUD!
pre·cip·i·tous adj
1. done or acting too quickly and without enough thought
2. very high and steep
3. having several precipices
hopefully, it's the 2nd or 3rd definition she intends to convey!

GM all. i don't know why, but i believe today is the day! we shall see... (i've got strong vibes coming from NJ - and it ain't that swampy smell!). GLTA ~ cord.
our previous record day was 2.2 billion, fwiw...
i agree. not funny at all. people should NEVER invest or gamble more than they can afford to lose. EVER! if they sell @ .0001, and retain some of their money - no matter how much - it's still called "capital preservation". although investing in pinkies is counter-intuitive to that concept, for the most part. all, imho.
generally speaking, the trend is when the dow tanks, pennies do well... premarket does not like the LEH news.
wow. imagine that: a pinksheets management team indicted on fraud... bummer for the bagholders.
too bad you miss most of mine!
i've been in FFGO since mid-June and the SEC threats were here when it came back to life then, too! get a new line already. this stock is on the up-and-up, son.
jsolor7 - you must've been "the other stockholder on the other line" when i called! i can verify your post and add that the IR folks are strictly professional and curious as to where all the doubt and negativity comes from!!!! haha! i told them to check out this board and it would become clear in a heartbeat... we're on our way up, peeps. keep the faith. ~ c
yeah, i know entergy is working their tails off to get everyone's power back. i have relatives in abita springs without still... thank god ike went west!!!!
thanks for the update - i had no idea what would happen next!
here and there... on vacation from 8/22 - 9/2... heading down to NOLA tomorrow! still have my CBAY and await greatness from our british lady ceo! cheers, c~
you caught it in between this morning's mode and full up mode...
one of my favorite bob marley lyrics... "don't worry... 'bout a thing... 'cause every little thing... is gonna be all right!"
hit the ask, people or you're playing into NITE's hands! this thing will not get off the ground today, imo. too much manipulation and too many rookie buyers...
look at that spread! RIDICULOUS!!!!!
