I liked the Mother's day incognito quip earlier =)
Nothing defacto about his role. I have no idea how religious he pretends to be, anymore than I'd know about Obama's seeming (to me) religious pretense. They all know going into the Presidential race that they need to at least mention "god" as being part of the team. That's insane, but there are among us those who can abide nothing less, and their vote counts just as much.
There we go, catering to the lowest common denominator. Much better education needed, and not the American home-spun home school system that needs to be outlawed; no bon mot intended.
So we had Trump pretty much make every federal office suspect, except his own of course, because it was so...perfect? Now the Supreme Court is under scrutiny because the aforementioned idiot made it this way.
In a way I feel like I can better understand victims of rape, post Trump. He hasn't stopped trying to fuck every person and institution in his orbit since grade school, yet there in the states he is being welcomed by millions upon millions to this day.
Go figure.
I'm not certain you can apply my text as you've placed it, and consider it "granted" by what followed.I can't possibly respond here today to this post, except to say that what I meant about "most of the people who have actually read the Bible" is to say that most of the people haven't read the Bible, and therefore haven't a clue of what they speak. They've merely picked up on what religious people espouse (pastors, whoever) and run with whatever fancy they'd care to. The Bible is the best resource in the world to find justification for nearly any abominable act a human can perform, from incest to mass murder, the Bible gives anyone what they need to explain away their evil deeds.
I guess that's a start, lol =)
Most of the people who have actually read the Bible see it for what it is-- humanity's very first attempt to organize the growing masses, and stop them from murdering their supposed leaders.
Our very first attempt at making laws. Our first attempt at defining geography, history and boundaries for how to treat fellow human beings. Our first attempt at science and medicine. Our first attempt at societal norms.
Like most first attempts at virtually anything, it missed the mark other than for the people at that time at the very best. They'd still be sitting on the hillsides waiting for Jesus while they maintained their lamp oil.
The rest of the time the Bible, Christian theology, Jewish theologians and Muslim proponents have been making excuses for the lark for about 1700 years. It is codified as Apologetics, a branch of the Catholic Church, orthodoxy, and evey other desert god's subsistence and subjugation. Why is that? Couldn't Jesus or his dad make the world better without relying on theological pursuits by men who need to control other men, and their deeded property, women?
Today we have science that can actually imagine that God doesn't live in the clouds, other than those amyloid plaque clouds that are responsible for geriatric dementia.
Well-- here it is: I realize your postings for the day have ended on your 15th.
I am so hurt that our budship has hit hard times =/
By special order of the IH and TOR powers that be, I'm going to bequeath to you an extra post this fine Mother's Day.
Now you can take the time and tell us what you really think. A mere "fuck off" isn't so impressive. I suspect it may be the last words you're ever able to respond to on this thread, but for the time being, like I said, one more kick at the cat there lonely boy.
Have at it.. no foolies, you've been given another post on TOR this day to impress the gentry, and any mammas out there.
We care restripe.
Is this your normal social motif? Walk into a room full of strangers, start telling them how stupid they are, and then attempt to befriend a few of them via common interests?
Does this work in the movies? I doubt it, cartoons perhaps.
Is there an intelligent right wing conservative on all of IH who can even pretend to support the conservative smorgasbord of crap? Where are they?
The best we can get here is a conix that hasn't figured out what she can stomach from the right, and a few imbecils so hemorrhagic in their bleating for Trump they put up a big rig in their siggy to emphasize their pole smoking fealty to being a log born denizen being pounded from behind.
Frightening. It's difficult to understand why nearly all of the conspiracy theorists are also devoutly religious eh?
Another generation of magical thinkers are all teed up.
Now tie in that half of the US populace are going to be forced into motherhood, along with the autocratic wannabe Trump producing little Trumps all over ruralty denying science and embracing fantasy.
Oi vey!
It's good to know your grammar doesn't exceed your reading comprehension.
But can't afford a pesky IH membership =/
Just imagine all that stimulating right-wing Bible studying you could manage on IH.
We could pass around the collection plate, or start a Go Fund Me on your behalf, anonymously of course. Discretion assured =)
You're the joke, projection(s) noted.
I am reluctant to ask, but why not heed the brokers who are doing their level best to dissuade people from throwing their money away?
There's good reasons here to never look back.
Thanks for the insights. So, I would assume there is zero chance, unless the holder believes the moon is cheese because he's got a burger?
That was my second post here. The PPS was much higher back then, I wonder what happened?
It was supposed to go way way (I believe a certain lunar body was mentioned) up, but it's done what all scams do instead =/
Any lower and real boss Beel z. Bub is in command eh?
Doh!
Ouch! all those recent alleged buys you posted =/
Ah well, when in doubt..

Abstract

Introduction: Therapeutic bloodletting has been practiced at least 3000 years as one of the most frequent methods of treatment in general, whose value was not questioned until the 19th century, when it was gradually abandoned in Western medicine, while it is still practiced in Arabic and traditional Chinese medicine.

And since we are on the same page...
As we make education a priority,,We double or triple the number of people in congress and add term limits
Then we breakup the multinationals as was done in the Carnegie/Rockefeller days...turning them into a hundred companies..
The finance world should have nothing that is too big to fail...
And if we want a dictator for a while let it be Musk who will push us forward....Something we quit doing as neolibrelism and Friedman took hold.."
Oh the long suffering you must endure, aww =/
Of "big coal" -- Bob Murray, America's largest private coal mining operator, Murray Energy, and John Oliver meet? This is quite possibly the funniest yet most profound 20mins on the net.
"After winning a legal battle involving a coal executive and a giant squirrel, John Oliver explains how SLAPP suits are designed to stifle public dissent."
I didn't know cherry trees grew in them thar West Viginny mountains
Thanks for the 2008 info, let's bump ahead-- Shall we continue to move our examination forward or do you prefer to "waller " in your stifled imagination? (other than being a IH woman part-time)

Main article: 2016 United States presidential election
The 2016 United States presidential election in West Virginia was held on November 8, 2016, as part of the 2016 General Election in which all 50 states plus the District of Columbia participated. West Virginia voters chose electors to represent them in the Electoral College via a popular vote pitting the Republican Party's nominee, businessman Donald Trump, and running mate Indiana Governor Mike Pence against Democratic Party nominee, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and her running mate, Virginia Senator Tim Kaine.

On May 10, 2016, in the presidential primaries, West Virginia voters expressed their preferences for the Democratic, Republican, Green, and Libertarian parties' respective nominees for president. Registered members of each party only voted in their party's primary, while voters who were unaffiliated chose any one primary in which to vote.
Donald Trump won West Virginia with 68.5% of the vote, his largest share of the vote in any state. Hillary Clinton received just over a quarter of the vote, with 26.4%. Trump's performance in the state made it his strongest state in the 2016 election by total vote share.[2]
West Virginia was also one of two states where Donald Trump won every county, the other being Oklahoma. This was the second consecutive presidential election where every county within the state voted Republican. Trump's 42.2% margin of victory is the largest of any presidential candidate from either party in the state's history, besting Abraham Lincoln's 36.4% margin of victory in 1864. Hillary Clinton's performance was the worst by a major party nominee since 1912, when three candidates split the vote and received over 20% of the vote each, and, as of the 2020 election, remains the worst performance ever by a Democrat in West Virginia.

" Wiki is mostly crap when it's political" -- This from the Tornado anti-brain trust.
No, politics is crap. Evey time that Ass speaks the tonsils render deep brown.
And some doubted he could manage a golf cart, the nerve! Lol
Rest assured, the world was in small but capable hands =)
So great thank you. It's so ez Trump can manage this test beyond five words?
“The last questions are much more difficult,” he said. “Like a memory question. It’s, uh, like you’ll go, ‘Person, woman, man, camera, TV.’ So they say, ‘Could you repeat that?’ So I said, ‘Yeah.’ So it’s ‘person, woman, man, camera, TV.’ ‘Okay, that’s very good.’”

The older I get (pushing the bounds of my 50s) the more I look back upon it and see it as cult behaviour.
The internal struggle. The embarrassment (to me) of public prayer, the singlemindedness of giving to Christ those things I could not understand. The basic tenets of brain washing--
In other words, suburban Christian fare.
I can certainly expand upon this as the heretofore mentioned messageboard amalgam permits =)
Ignorantly or with all the self-assurance that they shouldn't (read such a book)?
No offence Zorax, but you're not exactly the pied piper of facts about anything, other than your single-minded opinions.
Sometimes they're okay, some okayish, and others where fielders have difficulty. I try to be very nice to you Zorax, because I do realize you're long on self back patting and short when you need to be more critical, using facts instead of bluster; and that your self-worth is tied to your factless (in some cases) opinion.
I'm not perfect, and can be quite stoopid at times, so yeah.
The purpose of this board in my dumb view is to bring together the meetings of good minds, and perhaps to educate those among us that are keen to understand today's issues.
I don't consider myself to be an expert about virtually anything. I consider myself to be of average intelligence, who by virtue of being brought up in a very Conservative, Christian household has something more to say about that upbringing and the damage it has cost me personally, juxtaposed to society in general.
I feel I'm somewhat able to speak intelligently about such matters.
*I would say, as he said too, that he couldn't understand "the left's" parsing of his words. He did say he felt the Iraq war was justifiable within the context the Bush administration claimed it to be at the time of invasion, and then backed off support of Bush as the war lengthened and became "country building" and a way to have a democratic voice within the area.
He died in 2011 before the war had ended, and gave zero support to what became the American Dream, the Iraqi version.
*Early on, Hitchens & the war in Iraq. The one and only time he debated his own brother, a staunch Conservative.
I would disagree. He was never such a political as a polemic.
His thrust was always attenuated toward religious justification, and implicitly bore toward those whom deemed themselves to be slightly more than human.
His scathing review of Mothera Teresa only bore the venom he felt toward the Catholic Church in general.
My favourite book of his to this day is "Letters to a young contrarian"-- a thinking man's book-- or woman. Critical thought being the overriding emphasis.
Why would legitimate people along with their company try to organize a completely different company knowing they are attempting to erect their legitimacy on the ashes of one of the worst pennystock scams known to the world?
If one finds that their excuses outweigh the fraud, are not excellent at excuses ?
This company I'd legit, and properly funded, could embark upon going public through the age-old method of an IPO (Introductory price offering) or they could do what a myriad of other companies do, and reverse merge into a "clean shell" (look it up) but NO.. they'll RM into one of the dirtiest shells available on the ILLUSTRIOUS Grey Market.
Please, this is enough to make a cat laugh, and anecdotally raise a field of red flags

“On Jerry Falwell] No, and I think it’s a pity there isn’t a hell for him to go to... The empty life of this ugly little charlatan proves only one thing: that you can get away with the most extraordinary offenses to morality and to truth in this country if you’ll just get yourself called Reverend. Who would, even at your network, have invited on such a little toad to tell us that the attacks of September 11th were the result of our sinfulness and were God’s punishment if they hadn’t got some kind of clerical qualification. People like that should be out in the street, shouting and hollering with a cardboard sign and selling pencils from a cup.”
"Are you referring to the jim crow laws in the dem south and separate water fountains and restrooms"
Well yes I am I suppose. What were the people on the internet most concerned with in the 1950s?
I googled "1950 internet political opinion" -- nada
Maybe now you understand why you were booted from this thread twice for NOT being able to shut the fuck up about the war in Ukraine.
"Take a look at our latest CNN poll conducted by SSRS. The No. 1 issue is the economy, and nothing else is even close. Half of all respondents (50%) said it was the most important issue. The next closest was the war between Russia and Ukraine at 14%. "
So now you're onto the US economy and won't STFU about that? This is your new ASSHOLE routine?
I'm guessing there is only about one other asshole who posts here that would like to see you continue-- because he's too ignorant about your stupidity to consider what an asshole he is also.
You need to find a place in the world and on the internet where you can yikity yak to your heart's content, and share your most awesome opinions where everyone who cares to read them may do so.
You carved it out, now go stay in your single-brain cell Valhalla, and take the other asshole with you.
Hand in hand you go. The man who can't decide if he's a woman a democrat a republican or just a garden variety asshole, and his budding apprentice who can't write a straight sentence or thought

Precisely-- there are well-meaning people who would prefer to delve deeper into important issues. Instead these blabbernaughts gum up the discussion with primary school insults and provocation-- their sole purpose 100%.
"You can’t make this up"
I take it you're shocked that such an outlandish governmental intrusion such as making illegal the marriage between 2 adults of differing heritage needs no explanation?
Yet, it needed to be memorialized in law regarding its legality.
They didn't need to make it up, as it was illegal, you festering puss filled racist fuck.
I was merely asking about the "plus"-- Im well aware of the rest. Turns out it isn't exactly settled.
Thanks
Thanks. I heard Jen say LGBTQ "plus". Is this officially in the lexicon?
Plus size person? Is that a thing now, or another thing now?
Just in, Jen Psaki makes it official.
Karine Jean-Pierre takes the reins.
She's cute, great smile =)
Impressive speech. She's really on to this. I'm still shaking my head about the swirl this is becoming. I'm guessing the leak is from a clerk, but this is new water.
Anyway, speaking of swirls-- The righty's will being going nuts with the new press secretary, lol. Man, this is gonna be great! =)
Okay, I must expand, I wasn't going to..
A black woman (another first)
A black lesbian woman (I read, can't confirm*, but very LGBQT active)*confirmed
A black woman with a French surname
and the cherry on top
A very smart and well spoken woman who is obviously there because of her talents. Whether she's effective, remains to be seen.
I'm waiting for the Republican reviews to filter down, lol
** added per grumpy fuagf =)

How's this?
I suppose I'm looking forward, and I can say with great certainty the Generals will be.
How do we know that 100 Ukrainian pilots haven't been training in earnest with Polish f16s?
Do we know where these Polish f16s are atm? Have they undergone munitions and aviation upgrades?
Will you or I be more surprised to see them over a Ukrainian city in the future? Every war commentator I've listened to talks about this war in tens of months. 2 years? I haven't a clue.
A pattern I do see emerging, and forgive me because I did these back-of-napkin calculations when this war first began, the drones and cruise missiles the West are sending are becoming longer range and with more powerful warheads. I believe the range of the longest ranging munition is about 250 miles. I recall that Moscow proper is only about 300 miles.
Will this be a proxy war is the better question, or is it one already?
I've read it, I've agreed with it, and like I said, it's a dated article. Why do you keep overlooking the helicopters that we KNOW have been sent, and what does that entail for fuck sakes?
GROUND SUPPORT
I personally am licenced to fly a fixed wing single engine aircraft. I received my private pilot's license in the late 80s with an IFR designation so I may fly at night or land/depart under rules that require instruments to do so.
I checked into flying helicopters back in the day. The hourly rate to learn to fly a helicopter is outrageous. It's that way because a helicopter costs an order of magnitude more to fly the same time/distance in maintenance costs.
Helicopters in my mind are easy to destroy. We've all seen the videos. They aren't very effective in combat comparatively, and their uses are more in line with troop missions, particularly extraction from war zones.
Again, Ukraine is moving to offence. Let's not get our brains stuck to a single past truth with regard to the implementation of offensive measures, ok? 'Nuf said I think?
I've never voted for a democrat President in my life.
Does it surprise you that the world isn't full of simpletons with such simple answers as yours?
