I think you’ll outlive us all.
As far as being heartless, maybe your anger should be directed firmly at our CEO (a.k.a. “the genius”). I can assure you that I have no impact on when/if this drug EVER makes it to market. On the other hand, “the genius” is where much of your fate rests. I wouldn’t want to have to rely on him to deliver, so you would be wise to pursue other medical options.
IF it receives an approval….sheesh!
Look at the bright side—you’ve managed to wait 10 years for this drug to be approved. What’s another 10 years?
If that is not reassuring, then think of all the cheap options DM, the proclaimed financial genius, will accumulate to enhance his financial well being.
Dr. Missling is a financial genius, the likes of which have not been witnessed since Warren Buffet.
This board is beyond the pale.
Wow, rampant speculation is usually prevalent over the weekend (WWS= Wild Weekend Speculation).
I love these “we’re gonna conquer the world” prognostications, without even having an approved drug to sell.
Incredible.
Yep, 9 years of accumulating. Makes sense.
“Any possibility that Missling has a bunch of stuff happening behind secured lab doors.”
No, unless you are referring to the various lawsuits being filed against him
Where is the full ALZ & PDD data? What is the undisclosed rare disease? Where is the publication? On and on and on….our CEO is a DUDster.
Hasn’t this theory/argument about price action been made for the last several years?
Until this moves upward with significance (not +/- 15 cents), this trades more like a utilty stock than a biotech.
Missling has fallen very short—never did I think it would take 9 years to achieve nothing of consequence. So much wasted opportunity and time. He really should be ashamed and embarrassed by his ineffectiveness.
Yes, Falcon’s famous spreadsheets with “a lot of zeroes.”
Problem is that, to date, that’s all there is are zeroes. Zilch, nada, nothing.
I think these lead plaintiffs illustrate that Missling has managed to piss off just about everyone who is a stakeholder in this company.
I’m so glad he has time to BS at another fireside chat. Remember this when he is unable to meet his next set of deadlines. Priorities?
“Optics, which Missling appears to not understand”
That sure is an understatement. He usually appears so disheveled and poorly dressed, that people would probably give him loose change if he had an empty cup of coffee and decided to sit down. He dresses like he is going to a 1800s ballroom dance from a Jane Austen novel.
No wonder noone takes this guy seriously. Before you ask why I’m still here, it is for one of 2 possibilities. The first, which seems slim to unlikely, would be to get wealthy if the company gets a CNS drug approval. The second would be to serve as a plaintiff and make sure Missling and his officers spend some time picking up bars of soap in a Federal prison shower.
Here is what I do know: in the 9 years that I’ve owned this stock, we have not filed ONE application with any governmental regulatory body for blarcsmesine’s approval. YET, WGTers are blaming the FDA, among others, for this company’s predicament.
Talk about misguided blame!
I wouldn’t take that bet.
And when will we get the data readout from this trial? Sometime before YE 2025? 2026?
That’s the problem, George. Finishing trials is not so much the issue anymore—it’s reporting out with valid and reliable data in a TIMELY fashion that all stakeholders can effectively disseminate and utilize.
Do you value this friendship? If so, refrain from the BS conspiracy theories and just tell your friend that our idiot CEO has failed to execute yet. Delays, delays, and more delays have caused uncertainty regarding the validity and efficacy of our trials.
Yep, as an astute poster so succinctly stated some time ago: “We have a drug that is searching for a disease to treat.”
I agree with you—Missling just oozes smugness and arrogance. He has accomplished little to this point, other than his expanding bank account and his deranged opinion of his self importance. If all that is truly needed is manpower hours, then he should be working around the clock to make sure this is happening or can be contracted out to complete ON TIME. The man strikes me as an arrogant intellectual who wouldn’t know what a blister on a hand feels like.
That’s another thing—I don’t buy Missling’s BS about “quiet periods” and insiders being unable to purchase shares. How does this explain 9 years of little insider purchases (other than option grants)?
I guess it goes back to the old adage: How do you know when a politician is lying? Anytime they’re moving their mouth. I believe the same could be said about our CEO.
Yes, I remember it well. It was used in conjunction with the “tip of the iceberg” and firetruck and firehouse analogies.
The one thing our CEO has revealed to date is that he is an idiot.
And all these wonderful catalysts and upcoming newsworthy events are worth……$3.81 per share.
I love Missling’s response to Tom Bishop-“we’re not happy about the SP.”. Well you idiot, then do something about it!! Ghosting shareholders and stakeholders for months is not an effective leadership strategy.
This ALZ data is taking WAY too long to be released—we’re approaching 18 months. Every deadline our CEO mentions gets delayed or never materializes. He mentioned in the CC how much work is involved in completing the submission package to the EMA. Get ready for that to be the reason why that submission gets pushed out indefinitely. This guy loves pushing everything to the next quarter, second half, or end of the year. When those deadlines come and go, he’ll blame anything and everything but himself.
I’m the FUDster?!! I think our CEO is a DUDster.
We better hope that Missling can get off his arse and actually accomplish something—other than increasing his personal wealth.
As I have stated previously, his behavior and shadiness has all the makings of an episode of American Greed.
Spot on post—if Missling is not a crook, he sure behaves like one.
Oh yes, the WWS (Wild Weekend Speculation) posts are in full swing. Too bad Monday morning 9:30 am arrives, and reality smacks you right between the eyeballs.
Missling talks a big game, but his actions (or lack thereof) these past 9 years are a sobering reality of why the SP is sub 4.
I agree with your assessment of malfeasance. He keeps promising, but never delivers. Even if he is not a crook (to be determined), he sure acts like one. The only achievement he has made to date (other than self enrichment) is the undermining of any credibility this company once had. For these reasons alone he should have been fired already.
Didn’t he have a $40 target 6 months ago? Now Missling’s biggest cheerleader is down to $15?
Even Soumit can’t put lipstick on this pig.
That “someone who has to inform the street” is our CEO. Since he has proven himself to be a bumbling fool, there is zero chance of this happening while he is still employed in this position.
His incompetence should have been evident after 5 years. We’ve held onto this turkey 4 years too long.
Time to go, Missling. You have royally sucked as our company’s CEO.
Whatever this useless BOD recommends, I vote the opposite. For them to sit idly by while the wheels came off the wagon is inexcusable. A lot of needless damage to this company’s credibility has occurred while they sat on their thumbs.
It really is time to clean house and hold the BOD members responsible. SH have a right to be angry with what has transpired this past year.
Noone should be getting options and bonuses for this past year—it is disgraceful and shameful.
Yep, the BSers and their enablers are equally at fault on this board.
George:
Please STFU about how many companies are interested in buying/partnering. So far, it’s zero for 9 years.
Welcome, Tredenwater2, I am your host, Mr. O’Rourke. Welcome to Fantasy Island.
I wish that I could “keep the faith”, but when your CEO acts shady and obtuse like Missling, it’s hard to believe in the product or leadership.
We often talk about binary moments with pharmas—in this case, either Missling produces results or the lawsuits will bankrupt the company.
Flip a coin—never did find much value in TA. It is like driving a car using a rear view mirror. Not much predictive value, other than stating the obvious that it may go up or down. It might rain tomorrow, or it might be sunny.
Yep, pretty pitiful. The market is valuing this drug platform as nearly “worthless.”
Missling’s inaction regarding the release of ALZ data is revealing. He was counting on the Rett trial as well as the start of the schizophrenia trial to distract investors. When the Rett data fell short and the schizophrenia trial start did not impress, Missling was exposed.
The quarterly CC and the ASM should both be happening in May. Let’s see how Missling handles these events with the SP in the gutter.
Are these crooks that you refer to preventing Anavex from releasing full PDD & ALZ data, filing an NDA, or revealing the undisclosed rare disease that they’ll be starting trials on?
If any of the above are revealed AND the SP still declines, then I might begin to see your perspective.
Until then, the above need to be addressed by our CEO, whom I have zero confidence in doing so.
I was speculating Bas, but LTB is another possibility.
Hold on tight, LLLLOOOONNNNNGGGGSSS!!
Bas probably bought them with all of the dry powder he has been waiting to deploy.
Kund is correct again. Some quick math—take $3.68 and divide by 4. Or in Falconeer speak, take the dividend of $3.68 and divide by the divisor of 4, and your quotient is 92 cents.
Think about that for a moment—92 cents R/S share. This SP for 9 years of CNS drug “development” gets 99.9% of CEOs fired. We’re the .1% reason it’s not 100%.
Thank you to our useless BOD, who have done nothing other than disregard their fiduciary responsibility to its shareholders.
Bring on the lawsuits—this is inexcusable and disgraceful.
George:
I believe in Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, and unicorns!
