“Anavex is really slow to execute.”
Truer words have not been spoken.
Send him a gift card to purchase a new suit that actually fits.
Why does it always seem that you have to read Tarot cards or astrology to surmise what Dr. Idiot is doing?
Just a schitt show for a company & CEO.
Don’t call M-F during business hours. You’ll either interrupt their printing of millions of pages for EMA or intense games of solitaire.
Is this Hungarian firm going to pay Anavex a royalty for use of this patent, or are we just happy that they acknowledge our patent and their use of it?
Please tell me Anavex will try to monetize their patent portfolio, rather than just be happy with an acknowledgement. With Missling, you can assume nothing.
Missling is one hot mess. That suit isn’t even close to properly fitting.
Does he even care? Not really a good first impression one would get looking at how disheveled he is.
C’mon, these corporate ASM “votes” make Banana Republics look legit.
I am very much looking forward to someone OTHER than Missling presenting on behalf of Anavex.
George:
You are pitiful and pathetic. Your posting this video from many years ago serves noone. You deserve all the ridicule you receive.
I love the WWS (Wild Weekend Speculation). Unfortunately, Monday morning at 9:30 always awaits to bring a healthy dose of reality to this board.
Wonderful!! More headcount and salary expense. How many statisticians does this company need? As you already stated, it seems like DM is only now realizing (after 10 years) that it is very important to design the trial correctly BEFORE it starts, rather than taking data from a finished trial and trying to make it fit into a scientific narrative.
Once again, Missling has proven himself to be highly incompetent.
At least it’s 1 more day that Anavex’s SP won’t decline.
Missling spoke about 2023 being the year of execution as well—see the pattern? His words, estimates, and timelines mean nothing. It is well past time for a new leader—noone outside of this company’s shareholders even knows what Anavex is—or is at least supposed to be. He fumbles, stumbles, and effs everything up, yet the BOD does nothing.
What a joke this company is. $3.88 SP is a pitiful reminder of how irrelevant this company is perceived. We are no more significant that a gnat on an elephant’s derriere.
Yessir, in the next 18 months, Missling still receives salary, bonus, and options—while also burning through nearly 2 more years of cash reserves.
If this man is a financial genius, then the measurement of genius is very low.
Successful? Did the BOD finally fire Missling?!
I was going to say that perhaps Erm is in an urn, but down under is a good one as well.
Why can’t he get anything done? Most likely because he is aloof, unfocused, and unmotivated to do so. When he is making decent bank by operating under the status quo, it’s a huge disincentive. If our BOD had any teeth and wasn’t merely a rubber stamp for his ineptitude, he would have been long gone.
I hope somebody goes there tomorrow and really makes his slimey ass squirm. This BS has gone on long enough—in fact, way too long.
Please make sure to tell him he sucks!
Here are some questions:
1). Why do you think you have been such a horrible leader, communicator, and advocate for our company?
2). When are you going to release full PDD & ALZ data, or do you think we’re just stupid peons?
3). Based upon your 10 year “performance”, why should you remain CEO of this company?
4). Do you feel any fiduciary responsibility to anyone other than your own personal wealth?
5). Do you really care about ever getting a drug to market?
Yessir, and in those 10 years our CEO has been collecting salary, bonuses, & options.
When only a few people are making money on your company’s stock, and they happen to be Missling & Boenish, you have serious problems.
Shareholders have gotten royally screwed with this POS. If anyone is going tomorrow, make sure you remind DM that he has failed us miserably—not that he seems to care.
So volatile today? Up and down 10 cents is volatile?
Up and down 20 bucks these past few years was volatile.
Our CEO is a dog with fleas, ringworm, and heart worm.
We have one sick dog (CEO) here. His expiration date has long since passed. Time for a new leader.
It’s easier to blame conspiracies and BBB (Big Biotech Bias) than to hold yourself personally accountable.
Noone is to blame for ALZ data embargo and failure to file an NDA than Missling.
Period.
Missling already stated that since the ALZ trials took place predominantly in Europe, it made sense to begin the regulatory process there as well.
Do you believe that, or anything else he has stated? Or does he just pull this stuff out of his arse to suit the predicament he is in?
More pie-in-the-sky BS that we have been hearing for 9 years. WWS (Wild Weekend Speculation) is alive and well.
Just based on the SP metric alone, Missling has been a disaster to shareholders. All the other supposedly wonderful things he has done—or is supposedly doing—mean nothing if the SP does not start appreciating.
I have lost confidence in his ability to deliver anything other than whatever is required to vest in his own options and personal wealth. Too many loose ends and wishy-washy here.
One thing to ask yourself is whether Missling’s behavior aligns more with a straightforward leader or a shady slimeball.
Don’t be so sure of that, Steady. If the BOD are mostly his cronies, they are just figureheads.
I hope you’re correct about all of this, but there are just so many (too many) loose ends.
Please don’t rub it in Kund. This really hurts, knowing all the great opportunities that have come and gone while I’ve had money parked in this POS.
What is your obsession with dividends? Baby bios are NOT an investment vehicle for dividends. Utility companies yes—biotechnology companies no.
The money to be possibly made here will be capital appreciation in the form of SP growth. This is not the stock for dividends in any foreseeable future.
BAR123:
You’ve done an outstanding job of summarizing questions that need to be asked and answered.
Thank you for taking the time to do that. Having been here for 9 years as well, I am not as optimistic about the company’s outcome. I hope you’re correct and I’m wrong.
How has this CEO not been fired by the Board by now?
You ask such logical questions. I hope you’ll stick around long enough to get some answers. That is one question I have been asking on this board for the past 2 years.
I read that shareholder blurb in the proxy materials last month and nearly vomited. What a bunch of bull that statement is.
For a company supposedly on the cusp of paradigm shifting science in the CNS field, you paint a dismal picture of this ASM. Does anyone even know if Anavex even has any actual office space, or is it just a renovated supply closet?
Something is not adding up here, folks.
BAR 123:
All great points you have raised. It seems like you also have similar reservations about this company. I certainly agree with your statement that this company is one of the shareholder unfriendliest companies I’ve had the misfortune of owning. Missling acts like he operates a nefarious black market company—something about him and this company has given me that pit in the stomach feeling.
I’ve been here 9 years and that stomach ache is only getting worse—not better. Too many loose ends that never seem to connect here.
Falconeer has kicked off this weekend’s WWS (Wild Weekend Speculation). While it’s fun to speculate, Monday morning’s opening bell always awaits to bring this all back to its cold reality.
I was referring to Missling’s job performance (or lack thereof) creating negative vibes amongst posters on this board.
I certainly hope Missling is too busy to pay attention to this board. Then again, I do wonder what these 40 employees are even doing when news and progress is few and far between.
Call me a doubting Thomas, but I’ll believe it only when I see it.
I’ve been hearing this BS for 9 years!
The CEO does an exceptional job at creating negative vibes on this board. That does seem to be the one thing Missling does well.
I don’t share this belief after 9 years. DM has kept data hidden, which has NOTHING to do with nefarious actors. That is squarely on him.
XENA, why do you think that I am so angry with the (lack of) progress with this drug? I know several who struggle/suffer with a CNS condition. I don’t get this same sense of urgency from our CEO.
I pity those who are relying on DM to deliver an approval. So far, he has fallen well short—other than enriching himself.
Direct your consternation at where it belongs—our CEO.
