Hey NITE, GFYM!
Airys418, hang in there partner. You have done the DD and nothing has changed except the "perception." The AF's will come so save yourself the ulcer over one days activity.
When you get past how pathetic the life of a basher is, there really is a comforting aspect to their arrival. I am more confident than ever that Petar et.al. will execute this marvelous business plan for all of us. Rome was not built in a day and neither will Sulja Brothers. GLTUA
If Wessal is all bought in, where did all those shares come from without rocketing the share price, especially considering they wanted "certed" shares? I don't think our Arab friends have bought in yet. We'll know when they do. So will shorty.
An older gentleman takes his wife to their physician and tells the doctor, "There's something wrong with my wife. Don't know for sure, but she's either got AIDS or Alzheimers." The doctor laughs a little at the amateur diagnosis but agrees to check the woman out. After a short time, the doctor comes out to the waiting husband to relay his findings. "Sir, Good news, I cannot find anything wrong with your wife."
The man refuses to believe this, adamantly declaring his wife has AIDS or Alzheimers. He begs the physician for advice. After a few minutes the befuddled doctor finally responds. "The only advice I can offer is this. Take your wife far out into the desert, drop her off and return home."
"Great, I'll do it," the husband responds. But after a few moments, he looks at the doctor a little puzzled. "What if she finds her way home?"
Without even flinching the doctor says, "Then don't have sex with her."
Mackie, soon we will find out why this stock has behaved the way it has. And the longer they hold down this coiled spring, the higher it's going to jump when released.
I can't wait to see the short sellers get burned. OK, I understand a certain leeway to make an orderly market, but the excesses we've experienced in the past few years by these scum sucking parasites is criminal and they deserve everything they will feel from Petar. The velvet glove comes off soon and the iron fist will be apparent.
Emaar is building their fifth major project in Egypt right now.
FastEddie, it's a river flowing to the pot of gold. Somewhat matters where you get in, but the movement is all that I'm watching. I'm in just below three, parents in at 9, boss at 11, some on this board sub penny. We are ALL going to have a TON more money because we found out about this company. Inflate the boats and let's cruise.
I should be a little more open minded to some of the posters here who may have a much shorter time frame for investment returns. It's a lot easier to be patient when your original buy in was low. However, this pink has not disappointed and has shown an amazing transparency toward shareholders. Petar is wealthy and maybe doesn't always remember that many of us here have a LOT invested. But patience will pay off for all of us. I have never doubted that.
What a freaking joke! People selling out because the CEO is late releasing a PR that may or may not have any consequence? Aieeeeeee!!! The "penny" mentality is brutal. No wonder Petar hates these people. They can't see past the noses on their faces. Good luck to the folks who waited a little today and grabbed shares at 16 and 17 cents. You'll be partying with us in Vegas for the Nasdaq opening.
I agree the thin air today can get you light headed and folks get to dreamin'. However, I think we're going to be a $5 company before we are a $20 company and I'm willing to bet our margins may be higher than Home Depot. Also, they have to man a lot of stores to sell $180M of cement.
Even Petar admitted in the last statement the road to NAZ might be a little longer than originally planned. That's OK. So we're not millionaires until next summer. God willing... I've got the time.
Hey Buckeye, you aren't going to let a Wolverine have more shares than you, are you? 1.3M and LONG! Get buying partner. Good luck to us all and we'll see you in Columbus in November. (Knees knocking)
If they want to roll in the whole CCM outfit for 350M shares... I'm all for it. This thing is a monster in the making.
Boy, how good are the "sub penny" folks feeling today about their investment last year? And the beauty of this deal is.... It's JUST started!!!!
No complaints today from my wife who holds 1.3M shares in her SEP account! Chase getting lucky tonight...
A girl asks her boyfriend to come over Friday night and have dinner with her parents. Since this is such a big event, the girl announcesto her boyfriend that, after dinner, she would like to go out and make love for the first time.
Well, the boy is ecstatic, but he has never had sex before, so he Takes
a trip to the pharmacist to get some condoms. He tells the pharmacist it's
his first time and the pharmacist helps the boy for about an hour. He tells the boy everything there is to know about condoms and sex. At register, the pharmacist asks the boy how many condoms he'd like to buy, a 3-pack, 10 pack, or family pack. The boy insists on the family pack because he thinks he will be rather busy, it being his first time and all.
That night, the boy shows up at the girl's parents house and meets his
girlfriend at the door. "Oh, I'm so excited for you to meet my parents, come on in!" The boy goes inside and is taken to the dinner table where the girl's parents are seated. The boy quickly offers to say grace and bows his head. A minute passes, and the boy is still deep in prayer, with his head down. Ten minutes pass, and still no movement from the boy.
Finally, after 20 minutes with his head down, the girlfriend leans over
and whispers to the boyfriend, "I had no idea you were this religious."
The boy turns and whispers back, "I had no idea your father was a
pharmacist.
Eel, I agree with you totally. There are several groups of investors. Most on this board are the risk tolerant crazies who will lose a few but whack a few long balls when their DD proves correct. Then there's the group who knows about stocks like SLJB and they're real excited but just can't pull the trigger because of fear of loss. I believe these will be the first into the water after the financials.. leg one.
Another group, much larger and more savy, will wait a little longer than just the release of financials, to see what happens next. That will be our second leg up. They will be followed by the more conservative crowd who are looking for more value signs and these will be the third leg. I believe these legs, depending on how quick things are disclosed by Petar, could happen one right after another.
I finally gave up the ghost on GrifCo and put the funds in SLJB. Believe me, I gave Dial all the time in the world, 18 months, to prove he could do something with this company, and it just didn't happen. To me, it's like the country of Mexico. Thousands of miles beaches, great climate, mountains full of valuable raw minerals, oil everywhere... and they still screw it up. You really have to try hard to muck up a deal like this. But Jim Dial seems to have done it. Pity. I wish all the longs so much luck as you have endured a lot of aggrevation for sticking around. I will keep stalking here and jump back in if the situation improves some. GLTYA
Bummer, O Coaster! I sold one pink and used the proceeds to buy more SLJB this AM thru Scottrade, no problem. Not that I'm pumping Scottrade.
I've had my exit strategy in cement for months.
35K shares sell @ $1 (This recoups total investment in 1.3M shares)
100,000 shares sell @ $2 (Pay off house)
100,000 shares sell @ $3 (Fund Grandchildrens' Education)
100,000 shares sell @ $4 (Retire)
100,000 shares sell @ $5 (Travel... a LOT!)
865,000 Long Term hold with no "Sell" strategy in place.
Is America a great country, or WHAT?
It has long been contended that there are male jokes and there are female jokes. Here is a joke I consider a true
female joke. I offer it to you in the hopes that women will love it and men will pass it along to a woman who will love it.
A woman was sitting at a bar enjoying an after work cocktail with her girlfriends when an exceptionally tall, handsome, extremely sexy, middle-aged man entered. He was so striking that the woman could not take her eyes off him.
The young-at-heart man noticed her overly attentive stare and walked directly toward her. (As all men will.)
Before she could offer her apologies for staring so rudely, he leaned over and whispered to her, "I'll do anything, absolutely anything, that you want me to do, no matter how kinky, for $20.00......on one condition."
Flabbergasted, the woman asked what the condition was. The man replied, "You have to tell me what you want me to do in just three words."
The woman considered his proposition for a moment, and then slowly removed a $20 bill from her purse, which she pressed into the man's hand along with her address. She looked deeply into his eyes, and slowly and meaningfully said....
"Clean my house."
POSSIBLY THE VERY BEST CHICKEN JOKE EVER:
A chicken and an egg are lying in bed.
The chicken is leaning against the headboard smoking a cigarette, with a
satisfied smile on its face.
The egg, looking a bit pissed off, grabs the sheet, rolls over, and
says, "Well, I guess we finally answered THAT question!
I didn't get the impression from Petars last statement that any part of CCM has been "folded" in. In fact, it appears SLJB isn't going to get any piece of that pie until the PPS is well north of here. If they back up the projections with audited financials, reiterate the pro formas, announce a few new deals, the PPS is going to grow plenty all on its own. Then they'll use the 300M to bring CCM Midwest under the wing. After that, I think Petar will have a patient "wait & see" attitude. If things keep going good, they'll probably IPO the merger with CCM and Vista. All of which sounds good to me. JMHO
It may be "unbecoming," but it appears we made our new CEO angry and I doubt he's going to act the way we want him to. Methinks the PR's from now on will be "done" deals. Also, not much word from our IR company since Petar put the hammer down, eh?
I think the majority of folks on this thread now are true longs and "next year" is a very comfortable expression in their investment dialogue. Those that have lived this thing daily for months have been given ample reasons to scurry, e.g. the CEO shuffle last week. We enter Fall 2006 with a stronger base of investors than even a couple of months ago. I believe Petar is happy with that. He doesn't give me the impression he likes pandering to a diverse investor population.
I don't believe Petar really wants the job but for right now... He's the man for the position. Seems the Arab connection is comfortable with him and the majority of this board, i.e. investors appear satisfied. Probably in the near future, say six months down the road, we will see a new CEO, hand picked by Petar and our new Arab partners who will usher in the long term potential of our rapidly growing company.
Petar seems to hold the flippers in very low regard. To him, they are like a rash he caught while being someplace he shouldn't have been and he just wants the calamine lotion to kick in fast. The loathing he feels towards this market segment comes through clearly in that last communication. All good for us "Longs," because we want rid of this same rash ASAP.
I'll be interested in the next months to truly discover why this stock has acted as it has. MM games? Shorters? Flippers? Planned Insider sales? There are a LOT of unanswered questions, all raised by the good folks on this thread, and getting the lowdown will finally put most of these mysteries to bed. GLTA
Jannie, soon you will be looking at that dime figure and congratulating yourself. I have a ton of friends who just can't pull the trigger on a Pinkie but keep asking me, "Hey, where's that stock at today?" They'll be the next generation of purchasers in the 30 cent range and look at you like a genius. And following them will be the next batch, etc, etc, etc. GLTA
I think Petar really took us, collectively, out to the shed and whipped us like a red-haired stepchild today. Wow, that Tutonic image of the velvet glove on a steel fist comes to mind. We saw the fist this afternoon! We probably deserved it, too, although I hold 1.3 million shares and have never called anyone involved in the company at all. Call me stupid but I let my DD do the talking.
The line about the investors talking to each other, "which is what they seem to like to do," really stung also. He was PO'ed big time.
Still hold unwavering faith in the business plan. But Petar, all this would be mute if you just released the darn financials. We accepted our whipping and we're sorry. Now give us our ice cream.
You don't have to be sorry or apologize Dennis. It's been a pretty slippery slope here the last few days. They'll be plenty of time for you to re-enter when the fog clears.
But Petar is clearly the best choice and I'm thrilled he's BACK! Sounds like our Middle Eastern friends are happy, too. He's always been the wheelbase on this deal. Steve just wasn't ready to make that big step so soon because this thing is a monster in the growing stage. However, when they get into their "groove," this puppy is going on cruise control to the NASDAQ. I have absolutely no doubts in my investor heart about that!
Could it be that the alleged "shareholders" who were unhappy with the CEO decision... were, in fact, only one shareholder...WESSAL?
I shared your concern and ordered certs for the 350,000 I have in two trading accounts. Scottrade told me they couldn't get certs for the shares I hold in a SEP retirement account. I would have to do a total distribution out of the account, get the certs and then transfer the shares (now with certs) back into the SEP. Way too much trouble and probably risking the tax shelter implications of the account.
I also agree that the answers I've received from two different brokers about short shares seemed vague. I think they all have to attend a seminar on how to talk to clients who have these short concerns because their gobble-d-gook responses were about the same.
I will trade the SEP shares first when I reach my initial exit point and just pray the stinking, low life short sellers still have some of the money to make good from the millions they made shorting this thing from .30. When you look at the philosophy of short selling, it's really so antithetical to everything most Americans really believe. In essence, what they say is this, "We bet your company isn't going to "make it," and we are going to borrow your shares to help us do everything in our power to make sure we are correct. If we can't borrow enough shares, we'll just invent them, with the nod of the brokerage community, and keep whacking the sell until we win our bet. We really don't care who or how many people get hurt in this endeaver and we certainly don't care about your company."
I don't think we really know "anything" about the way Wessal thinks or acts. There exists a cultural difference, a different way of doing business, just for starters. Then we have no idea what they truly are privy to or how that affects, legally, their ability to move on the purchase. There are a TON of questions that will be answered in the next couple weeks and it's exciting to be a part of it. I have never doubted the DD done here or the intentions of the Sulja clan.
25 years employed and he can't spell either employer name correctly. Yipes!
Hint: The correct spelling of the companies were on your paystubs.
I was not especially impressed with the PR. I'm not all that happy with the waiting for the financials. I'm not pleased with so many things up in the air...
And you couldn't pry my 1.3 million shares out of my greedy mitts with a freaking crow-bar!!!!!
All praise to "rruff" who gave me LFWK in February and thank my parents for giving me the intelligence to move on my gut feelings. This remains a no brainer for me.
Me too. Finally subscribed a couple weeks ago and extremely happy. No ads, searching, PM... all great deals. Everyone should throw a little money iHubs way.
Fish has consistently warned of the short position held, most likely, by hedge funds. Although I am loathe to make investment choices based on conspiracy theories, I have come to believe in this case... the hedge funds may have picked up the wrong end of the snake.
Steve appears to be sending them a series of shots across the bow in warning. Whether their arrogance prevents them from or they simply can not cover effectively- it's not happening en masse. Soon, the guys with the white hats are just going to come out, guns blazin'. And it couldn't happen to a nicer bunch. These shorters care only about money, run ice water through their veins with I.V.'s and make Gordon Gecko look like Mr. Roberts.
I was simply commenting on why Greenspirit was banned. Sorry the two comments juxtaposed would seem like I was hurrying Mr. Asus. I am grateful for any updates at any time by our devoted DD posters. My apologies.
