I'm driving home from Little Rock, Arkansas. It's about an 8 hour drive. I am single and I do get to California very occasionally. If you ask my brother, he'll tell you that I'm incredibly good looking and immensely modest :)
"but I try to be subtle about it.."
Forget subtle, I am always interested in meeting someone who's handsome, rich, exciting, funny, kind and who's interested in meeting me LOL
Trey
LOL.....yep that's my motto too. I'm returning to New Orleans on Sunday now and I'm ready. I had a new and improved stereo system put in my car for the ride and now I need to go to ITUNES and download some travelling music :)
Trey
I'm pulling for you. My brother and I have mentioned for over a year to her that she should keep the emotion out of the discussion of why there is this monumental disconnect between company progress and the share price. That has largely been unsuccessful so I don't bother. I want the channel to succeed big and I have for 2 years. I've encouraged friends to own the stock and pull for the company but to never be blind to the facts as best we could determine them concerning share structure, etc. Several of us went into wait and see mode when Frank continued to dance the same dance around these issues. That's just being cautious, she calls it something else. So be it. Or as we say in New Orleans....c'est la f#cking vie :)
Trey
"As Gertie Stein says, "There's no 'there' there."
And here I thought Endora said that first :)
My brother does but that was acquired because of her gift to my nephew so that's off the table. It was from Boston and it did have her name. That's as far as I want to go with that though. To do otherwise would just be bad form, not to mention bad karma - and I don't need another dose of bad karma. At least until hurricane season is finally done :)
Trey
Dude you can post whatever you want to here. There's nothing that you could post that I haven't heard before and in this case it's the source that really pisses me off. I expect that kind of stuff from those who appear on the planet to prove Darwin wrong but in this case, well maybe I was just slow to be surprised.
BTW, she did in fact go out of her way after Katrina to send a gift to my nephew which was much appreciated.
Trey
Yeah, I saw her do it with my brother last year and I stayed out of it at the time but the more I've read of her RB posts the less inclined I am to be quiet. Her whole spiel has become more than tiresome about her work experience, her QBID history and her person marks (which do not now nor have they ever been an indicator of how much value there might be to what was posted). Ego is a very off-putting thing and as far as I can tell, it's been very expensive for her with the stock.
I just can't stand homophobic chit in general and like I said, that kind of crap face to face would not be met with laughter by the folks I hang with.
Trey
"I see them dressed as baxxless girleymen ROFL!!!"
I have about had it with that kind of lame crap from her...we've gotten along pretty well for some time now but that kind of comment is not only NOT funny but something I would expect from some punk. I'm not sure she'd be quite so comfortable spitting that out face to face with some of my boys on Bourbon Street. I'll leave it at that for now cause I don't want to say what I really feel about her comments right now.
Trey
"I'm way too old for that stuff..I've seen the light Trey"
Hmmmm well I don't believe in linear time for anybody. I wake up in the morning, ask myself how old do I feel and that's my age for the day regardless of what anybody else wants to tell me about age-specific behavior. You'll always be older than somebody and you'll always be younger than somebody else I figure. Just don't drink too many Long Island Ice Teas or neither group will find you pretty LOL
"the business is twice as busy today and I'm feeling like crap..."
I wonder why? LOL....several years ago I was at the Bourbon Pub in New Orleans with some friends and I couldn't find anything I was in the mood to drink. The bartender recommended a Long Island Ice Tea so I said sure. YUMMMMMM so I had FIVE more. I begged God for days to just end it all for me :)
Trey
Thanks for the info. For quite a while now there has been this infuriating disconnect between business progress and the pps. Iffy history is always easy but it would have been so much better in my opinion if Frank had just put the facts on the table in black and white without all the dancing around. Don't tell me what you think I want to hear, just tell me what's going on and I'm cool. Love the channel progress so I'm here.
Trey
:)
There's a party? Excellent :) Just caught up on the board a few minutes ago. Hope everybody has a great weekend.
Trey (soon back home)
"Gravy is what they pay you, and sauce is what you get from drinking too much. ;0}"
Actually, down in New Orleans many consider gravy to be a beverage :)
Got to keep my sense of humor.
Have a great weekend all.
" in my youth...maybe I'll give it another try? "
I have it on good authority that you're in your prime. I'll let you know when it's rock and roll time :)
"Hey Trey! Why wait till lunch? LOL"
LOL what I really need is a kick-ass lesbian running buddy. Know any?
Morning people. I hope all our Texas friends who've helped us so much will be safe from Rita.
BTW, Frank continues to amaze but I'm just not going to worry about it for now. I'll try and be more of a participant but fro now I feel like I just need to go find a nice gay bar and sit there for a few days. Perhaps I'll wait until after lunch :)
Trey
Hi guys...still in Little Rock and looking forward to a return to New Orleans sometime soon, if only for the occasional day trip. I'll br relocating closer to home in about a week....
OK, now for our stock.....I've spent some time this morning reading posts for the first time in several days and I'll just add this....for years I have maintained that people will respect someone who just tells the truth. They may be pissed but for the most part we're a very forgiving people and just want to know that bullshit isn't the norm. One of the more astonishing violations of this was by in my opinion the smartest man who ever served as President, William Jefferson Clinton (not trying to get political here). When Clinton was running for his first term he stated that the biggest mistake made by Nixon was not just saying "Hey I effed up and it was stupid, I am sorry." Well, we all know what happened when he decided that an answer of "It all depends on what the definition of "is" is" was the way to handle a major stupid beyond all understanding eff up. Anyway, about a year and a half ago I sent several emails to Frank and placed a few phone calls to him (no response) where I identified myself as one of about a dozen gay guys in New Orleans (including 2 bar owners) who were totally excited to get behind this business in a big way. The idea of being a part of our own cable channel was and still is exciting however I stated quite specifically that he should make no mistake about our ability to see through crap and just because someone is gay does not make them trustworthy. Be up front and don't try to play us and we'll be there for the long haul. Need to sell stock to expand the business? Fine. We will need to put up with an iffy pps for a couple of years? Fine. Tell it like it is, make the business move forward and we're there. Dance and weave about the financials and the share structure and we'll give you no slack. I don't know why Frank ignored this, perhaps he had mitigating reasons that I'm not privy to but I can't read his mind. I give him points for how far the channel has come but many many people have taken a bath with this stock over the last year and a half and that's left a bad taste. I'm one of the lucky ones who has made a few bucks with this stock but personally that's unimportant. It's about credibility and making this company something to be proud of. This is the first time I've posted in this manner and I will be sending an email to Frank expressing this same sentiment. I do not expect a satisfactory response but I will be pulling for a new and improved approach by management. I try to live my life by just trying to do the next right thing and I don't have to search real hard to define what "right" means. Then again I've never been a politician or the CEO of a non-reporting start-up. Thank God.
And thanks to all who struggled to read through this :)
Trey
Hello from Little Rock. I thought I would drop by and say thank you to all of you for your great messages, they meant a lot. My house is in the Uptown area of New Orleans and no water. Things actually seem to have gone OK for most of the houses in that area - big blessing. This is actually the first day that seems almost normal (even have an appetite LOL). Waiting for good news from the pet rescue folks and I'll be able to sleep through the night. Thanks again for the good vibes....I should be home for Christmas (maybe sooner?)
With great affection (sounds stilted but I mean it LOL)
Trey
I would think the royal purple should work for you ?
See you guys next week. Time for me to finally sleep.
Trey
There are times where being totally pissed off takes your mind off crying and that's where I am today. BTW for those who may not know, I learned a few hours ago that text messages are getting through. In a few days I'll start spending a little time helping you guys take control of QTN :)
Trey
^5 dude :)
I had pulled myself together pretty well until I opened my mailbox and read your many messages. To think that people I've never met would think of me right now is almost emotionally overwhelming.
OK, I had to take a few minutes to complete this. What this has done to me is nothing, absolutely nothing compared to so many people who have nothing to eat or drink and who have lost loved ones, not to mention all that they own and it's breaking my heart. To know that you guys cared enough to let me and my brother know you were thinking of us at this time is by far - and I mean by light years - the finest experience I have ever had or will ever have in this arena. May your life be doubly blessed for caring about strangers in what's now become a very strange land.
Trey
You asked about this last night on RB and it was answered, did you not read the answer?????
The Cornell contract is over.
"In April 2005, the Company and Cornell agreed to terminate this agreement and all related shares of common stock are to be returned to the Company. In May 2005 the 8,315,789 shares of common stock issued to Cornell were returned and cancelled."
See Note 14 in the 10Q
http://tinyurl.com/8dakn
"Can someone help me understand the financing?
I read this in the 10Q: "In August 2004, Advantage sold a total of $400,000 worth of such convertible note to Cornell Capital Partners, LLP ("Cornell"). The Note bears interest at a rate of 6.5% per annum and is convertible into shares of the Company's common stock with a conversion price per share equal to the lesser of the average of the lowest of three day trading prices during the five trading days immediately prior to the conversion date multiplied by .70 or, the average of the lowest of three day trading prices during the five trading dates immediately prior to the funding dates."
The conversion terms of this note make it look to me like one of the notorious 'floorless convertibles.' Or am I missing something?
For CRGO stock, sure :)
I'm going to do my voodoo candle focus on CRGO and SCXC tomorrow so you can relax about those two :)
Trey
Same here RU
"We've got a weathervane on the roof with a pig on it. (His name is Pigfried.)"
LOL A friend of mine has a pig on his ranch that chases cars and it's named SpeedBump LOL
Trey
No he's not :)
VERT just seems to have a whole lot of shares to sell while he sits at the ask. Not cool
Hi Florist
Morning BB
TY TY......I love starting off the week with a Jason Nevins remix and a compliment :) Maybe my stocks might even surprise me
"the company we keep here is first class"
I'm not used to that but I'll adjust LOL
Hi Hopscotch...my brother gave you my link for Jason Nevins :) Love that guy's remixes
Trey
I'm on vacation for a few days so I thought I would stare at the computer and this is a nice board to check in on when not glaring at Alphatrade LII :)
Trey
CRGO just seems like a great place to park some money and watch it multiply without worrying about every tick :) Thanks for the info
Trey
I can be very good at sucking up :)
hehehehe no I haven't seen Lobo's pic, should I?
I believe that Logo will in fact be good for Q because they are complimentary. Logo lacks the live stuff for example. Neither one is very expensive either. I have Here! and it's OK but I wouldn't cancel it for Q or Logo, I would just add those 2.
"Are you saying you adore the stuff I write? "
Oh yes, I often wish I had written it :)
