Well I have an opinion what it all means but it's just that an opinion. As I mentioned I'm out of the stock . But I was recently asked about other sucsessful business's Mr Alonzo had created - or run etc.
From PBLS's Website
Charles ‘Paul’ Alonzo
Chairman and CEO
Born in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1946, Paul Alonzo, attended Northwestern State University, receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree, and achieved a Masters Degree at Loyola University. Mr. Alonzo pursued a Ph.D. at various other universities. Starting as a special education teacher, Mr. Alonzo simultaneously began a career in construction. Through the years, Mr. Alonzo has successfully founded, funded and operated construction companies, renovation companies, night clubs, restaurants, and agencies in insurance, brokerage and collection industries. He has successfully managed groups with as many as 1500 employees in multiple industries. Phoenix Associates Land Syndicate was formed in October 1996 to become a public holding Company.
Like I said I have an opinion on whether Mr Alonzo has a proven track record of business success. But you should maybe check for public info on some of the companies that are no longer viable that he was involved with.
It has been my experience that people see what they want to see in life and especially in the stock market. I wish I could say I have 20/20 stock investing vision- sadly I don't.
Type in C paul Alonzo
Also you might try wife both maiden and current
Also search the other officers in companies he is listed-
For those who requested this - [ I can't reply by PM because I'm a free member of Ihub] - so i'll post the info here .- I have no position in PBLS . In the future if you would like a more detailed response you can email me at monkeyfrogdotcom@aol.com .
This is a partial list - You'll notice quite a few corporations that are/were left to expire.
http://www.sos.louisiana.gov/app1/paygate/crpinq.jsp
Type in C Paul Alonzo or his wife or anyone you want see -make sure you search under INDIVIDUAL in the data base search.
There are many variations of initials and maiden names etc- I was suprised. I'll let everyone else draw there own conclusions.

When you get to the site you can read more about who the officers were and when the corporations were formed- after that you'll have to do a little digging about each individual business .
FWIW I'm totally out of PBLS, [and yes i did own shares, more than I care to admit].
Here are several links to help with your DD here.
First you will need to download this file reader . Only takes a couple minutes.
http://www.lizardtech.com/download/dl_download.php?detail=doc_djvu_plugin&platform=win
Now you can search
http://kgsweb.uky.edu/DataSearching/OilGas/OGSearch.asp
These are all the wells I come up with
http://kgsweb.uky.edu/DataSearching/OilGas/OGResults.asp?farmname=&farmtype=wild&limiter=AND...
http://kgsweb.uky.edu/DataSearching/OilGas/OGResults.asp?farmname=&farmtype=wild&limiter=AND...
http://kgsweb.uky.edu/DataSearching/OilGas/OGResults.asp?farmname=&farmtype=wild&limiter=AND...
It's helpful to use the abreviation keys
D&A = Dry and abandon
Loc = Well locations (includes locations for which a permit has been issued but for which no completion data is available; and wells on computer with incomplete or missing completion data).
oil = Oil
Gas = Gas
O&G = Oil and Gas
to speed your search you can skip dry and abandon wells [ unless you just wanna read about the history of them]
LOC reports have a mixed bag. You'll have to read thru them.
What you are looking for are 18 producing wells [ as per PR from PBLS] as a bonus in theory these 18 wells will have a avg production 24 bls per month. Good Luck!!! and I mean this sincerly. I've included wells that list John Barksdale as operator . They seem to be from a time maybe before he joined Rome oil and gas, so I'm not sure if these are even in the aquisition . EJ Webb was former pres of Rome oil and gas. Some wells will show his signature [ the 1969-1970's ones I think]
I can't find anything close to the number of operating wells or production numbers that the Press release states. Maybe you all will have better luck!

Wish everyone the best here and I won't be commenting or posting here again. Hope everyone has a nice holiday season!
You know I debated even to answer you - I own shares and have been trying to do some DD for myself and other intersted board members . Obviuosly, you're not interested so I suggest you put me on ignore. OT. Since I have an extra day in the Dallas/FW area I will be doing a little DD on a company called BWDI for a friend . Maybe I'll make some "Monkey" noises on their board someday.
BTW I know by your Hotmail email account you are indeed NE14-- so if there is a policy against multiple aliases on IHUB you are clearly breaking it.
And we'll equally want to see audited cost of revenues and other expenses and debt the company may have. I'm just gonna bite my toungue and hopefully have something to report on Monday. Good luck this week!
Yeah- If you read the Enron BK filing you can see where a lot of these smaller comapnies got hurt by Enron Then I noticed in May looks like they incorporatd this new company
Progas Gathering, LLC, 225 E. Gibson St., Covington, 70433, Mardi Gras Pipeline, LLC, Dgh Petroleum, Inc.
Not sure how/if the Huriicane affected it . Or if this is included in the proposed aquistion.
Good luck today all- maybe this PR will correct the oversold condition in PBLS stock.
If you do a little digging lotta interesting stuff out there on ProGasinc. Just be sure to look under ProGasinc and not Pro Gas inc
Well - getting some pretty angry PM's so I'm just gonna say this is what I'm trying to reconcile right now.
All this is MY OPINION ONLY! and before you go whack on me-- I am a shareholder- But something isn't right here and I'm not one to follow the herd.
this excerpt from following link's full article-- KY has a a loophole that I'm trying to work around/see if it applies to us.
This is not an article about PBLS or Mid south or Rome oil and gas.
"That's a red flag," said Bill Goodwin, president of the Tennessee Oil and Gas Association and a principal in Ky-Tenn Oil Inc. "If you're getting that kind of production, why in the hell would you want to sell it?"
Goodwin said the oil industry has a problem with "promoters" who make their money from raising capital to drill new wells, not from actual production. He claims Kentucky is particularly vulnerable to such operators because its regulatory requirements allow a one-year delay in the release of production data.
Goodwin said investors should hire a geologist to verify production claims or ask to see copies of "run tickets," which are receipts written by oil haulers when they load up tanker trucks at well-production sites.
http://cincinnati.bizjournals.com/cincinnati/stories/2005/10/03/story3.html
Notice the permit dates
http://www.dmm.ky.gov/NR/rdonlyres/FBA09A0B-5E41-494D-AF75-B2103DD611BD/0/04152005.txt
so Rome can report "actual production numbers" depending on when they got those wells producing after April 2006 according to KY law. So naturally I am wondering if we should be looking for a more official numbers on each well .
there is a striking similarity to wyoming and KY in regards to oil and gas exploration- can you guess what it is?
Funny coincidence this company is looking for investor to drill in Wyoming too [NOT same Rome oil and gas] I'm still waiting for a return call from this company .
http://www.romeoil.com/whyinvest.htm#whywyo
Now like I said I'm trying to work this out- and if anyone has better info PLZ post it . FWI-IMO
lol- I though maybe "Kinkos" kicked him off their computer.
Anyone find it a coincidence that NE14trade/sandandgravel and any other alias he /she uses were awol today?
Stock goes down on heavy volume and perceived good pr's- stock goes down on decent volume with no news or speculation that the company has/or is soon to start a large buyback. And some are still calling this accumulation? Just venting for a minute- but the quotes lately like " you can't lose at these levels" or 'only rookies are selling here" or _________ fill in the blank. That is usually another red flag that sentiment is way too bullish . IMO I'll try and post some pertinent KY oil and gas news later tonight- just making sure I have it right before I do.
Guys this isn't rocket science here- we all know what would stabilize the price- and in my opinion you could buy a 10 million share block right now and the price wouldn't budge- probably just the opposite. Good luck but to say that .02 is somehow support is a little premature- imo.
Yes thank you I heard the same thing-- gotta say the timing is unfortunate in so far as the stock performance. But gives me an extra day in Dallas and that's never bad!
Gonna change my itinerary a little- I've now heard that Paul and Ron will be outta town til Friday- so I'll be visiting Thursday /Friday with the option to maybe stay in the area til Monday. Got a lot of info for the board too- just trying to make sense of it all. Good luck!
Thank you - I'm hoping to find out more about that in person Wed and Thursday.
Hey this is a positive!

still waiting for some documents today
http://www.dmm.ky.gov/NR/rdonlyres/FBA09A0B-5E41-494D-AF75-B2103DD611BD/0/04152005.txt
These are the pr's I think he was referring to-- If I remmber correctly the sand bag thing seemed kinda far fetched at the time and everyone kinda left it at that. The office thing I think was they were moving or had moved to Texas then had not moved or did not need to move after all.. At the time I think it kinda just made management look disorganized - whick looking back is understandable given the craziness around that area.

Ok I promise this is the last time I mention this-
But if this is true
"As far as the reason that I've heard as to why to TA was 'gagged' is: Because of the massive amount of phone calls he was receiving, demanding to know the share count and structure...He was ready to Quit because of this, and the Company likes him the job he is doing for them, and didn't want to see that happen...Plus, he's been a very busy guy organizing this buy back..."
Why not have the company issue a press release for everyone to see- with the official share count as of 11/15/05-- then everyone has it and neither the t/a or the company has to worry about answering it .? OK that's it- I'm done-- hope you can see my point and concerns. Good luck !!!
I'm gonna try and put a few different scenarios together- and I'll try and make it worst to best case. I know a operator in Kentucky but not Wyoming. But I imagine I can get pretty close on it.
Wow! How I got tangled in that tirade I'll never know-- I'll have the answers from public records no later than Tuesday-.
BTW - I know a bit about oil and gas and you'll be happy to know that I am bugging the heck out of Everyone from Exxon/Mobil- to Concoco/ Phillips to Rodney Barker to Kenneth Wickenshiff. And I'll crunch PBLS/s numbers for every scenario we can come up with.
Good luck!
I think I mushed my question here-[ as per normal]
Couple examples of what I'm asking.
I own a working interest in several wells in Texas with Mustang oil and several with Chesapeake in Oklahoma- And every month I get an invoice with among other tings costs ascociated with the wells and a bill for my % share. If someone buys[ say PBLS] Mustang oil they are buying only Mustang's % of proceeds and liabilities- I'm still a working interest particiapte along with many others - regardless of who's doing the drilling and trucking etc.
I am a royalty interst owner on many leases in Texas and the sourounding states- one of the Royalty interest wells is on the Kenneth Powell estate and Exxon/mobil are the operators/lease owners. Now in the doubtful case someone would buy out EXXON I still retain my Royalty rights- and in the case that Exxon abandons the well- saying it no longer profitable for them I still own my mineral rights- and lets say 2010 oil prices are $100/barrel and another operator- lets say Rome oil and gas decides they can rework the well and still be profitable that's great- but they still have to pay the Royalty interest to me and alot of others up to the royalty's owners combined %.
What I'm asking in general is what % of mineral rights to each lease does Rome oil and gas own and thus PBLS own? If Rome oil and gas owned all the mineral rights to each lease then that's great!!!!
Hope to have the breakdown what % Phoenix aquired with the company on these various assets. Should have it no later than Tuesday.
"Through this acquisition, Phoenix acquired interests in leases, equipment and oil production."
According to the board info we are assuming that we own total control of all the oil and gas Rome produces- I'm probably missing something here but that's not how I read this- at least in this press release- any other thoughts?
Phoenix Closes on Two Oil & Gas Companies
COVINGTON, LA, Oct 18, 2005 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX) -- Phoenix Associates Land Syndicate (Phoenix) (OTC: PBLS), a holding company with assets in oil, sand & gravel, soil products, land development, trucking, contract hauling, swimming pool construction and construction-related industries, announced today that it has completed the purchase, for cash and stock, of the Kentucky-based corporations -- Mid-South Resources, Inc., and Rome Oil and Gas Company. Thank you for you call- Is this what Mike told you?
"Well from the breif conversation we had,he told me that the company was going to announce a 150 million buyback but on advice of their SEC council rolled it down to 100."
Is this the same council that has advised PBLS to keep the Transfer agent gagged? Hmmmmm
Gotta tell ya that seems odd-- but thanks again for sharing!
Thanks! I'm hoping to see the sand and gravel operations and also couple other things along with getting a general feel for how things are going with other businesses not directly related to PBLS. I'll be happy to take pics and video- but mostly want to get a feel for things .
OT -did it but was returned by a earthlinks spam blocker - Hopefully it's in your box now.
I kinda think this obsession with if you are not a paying member[ I know the post wasn't directed at me originally] you are some kinda cheapskate or lesser individual is not warranted.[ I try and limit the number of places I use a credit card on the net]. I think ihub is great and hundred times better than the competition- but why bash people just because they prefer the free memebership? I just spent a little over $500 Friday getting some hard copies of some pertinent info pulled copied and fedexed-[ hopefully by monday] to me and will likely spend over $2000 next week visiting a couple PBLS sites. And yet I will share anything I find with the board . And I won't ask for donations to help defer my costs. BTW I think your site is very well done and applaud your efforts- hopefully I can fill in some blanks for it next week. Good luck all!
Have a safe weekend all- looks like I may have some verifiable DD for everyone soon-- Google is a good thing!!!!
Hey if you see a Veteran - maybe shake his or her hand or buy them a cup of coffee and say thanks!!!!
Completely bored and am trying to find out more about the powers that be here.

So I take it that Osprey partners [ PBLS's IR firm ] only lists a cell phone as a contact number?
I'm Sure NE must have other numbers?
If i search for Osprey partners in New jersey- I can't find anything related to Mike Mulshine- so I'm wondering if there is another firm he works for with the same name.
This is the info from Osprey Partners in NJ that i could find

Sorry if this has been answered b4 - and I'll try and call right now.
I have and never got an official number - I got a kinda - pretty close number that needed to be checked with something. If someone wants to claim they have the official number as of today and is willing to quote their source I'm all ears/eyes!
A friend of mine runs a public company. I've asked him about this and he told me it can take 3 months for a TA to reflect a changed number. So I would trust the numbers I got from the company rather than the TA. I'd be more concerned if the company witheld an answer and continued to refer me to the TA. He's going to call me again tonight, so I will ask him again.
If you get the chance- maybe the company could put out a quick release for public consumption-- like " as of 11-10-2005 the AS/OS is ********* . That would save them from continually having to field phone calls and work on more pressing issues- Think that's a possibility?
I know- and more and more we get flamed for posting it. It's like what you don't know can't/won't hurt you or something--
All I read is that so and so called Mike or Ron or Paul or whoever-- and "they said" blah blah blah-- But nothing is ever Official-- in a PR for all to diseminate- always some 2nd hand account or a pvt email-- For a company who claims to want transparency and shareholder value- they are strangely silent on the one thing that would bring solid long term investors in.
"1) Though PBLS is pink, management is nonetheless prohibited from out and out lying to investors, hence, there is no PBLS-caused dilution, . "
Careful here if you are banking on what managment is percieved to be saying- the safe harbor is very tricky business and I think managment has been sufficently vague in there conversations to shareholders- and especially in their PRs.
Also - TNOG another pinky has been off on and on the SHO list while PBLS has not- indicating to me that shorting has been covered- at least to any major degree with PBLS.
I'm continually amazed that more longs are "OK" with the T/A being gagged. The most obviuos answer to why the stock is drifting lower during all the "accumulation" is either the company is selling shares and/or shares were used to fund several aquisitions and in turn are being sold . Now if PBLS is indeed selling shares here to raise cash-- to then buy back 100 mil shares- what does that tell you they think the share price will be in the near term? I mean- this is all hypothetical- but seems like selling into each pr will force the price down and inturn let PBLS load up at a much better price- all speculation- but this Evil market maker stuff is easily solved with a simple move by PBLS- Ungag the Transfer agent ! All in my opinion ofcourse!
Thought i better reply here as to not upset the other board.

Was that a little birdie or just positive thinking on TRBY.
Every battle is won before it is ever fought. Sun-tzu, The Art of War.
Short answer a little bit of the former and a lot of the latter-
Longer answer my neighbor until recently worked for IKON office solutions as a sales manager- and as it happens IKON started featuring HP office products for their business clients- I think they used to feature Cannon products. Anyway he and I have talked from time to time about TRBY's mouse and now their other products as well- I haven't seen him in about 4 months [ he now works for a pvt copier/office supply company and has moved ] and recently had occassion to talk with him [ calling to rsvp for his daughter's Birthday party this month] His first question was what in the world has happened to TRBY's share price- [ I think he owns a little over 1 million shares] I said I didn't know and told him I thought it was him selling his shares that was dragging us down-[ which he assured me he wasn't/isn't]-anyway if it seems like I'm rambling it's only because I am- to shorten this up- he still talks to old Ikon friends from time to time and he believes HP is aware of Trby'S products and he thinks they are a good fit for HP's office product line and I know he has made HP aware of this on his end. FWIW and IMO and all that.
Huh? You'd rather keep the t/a gagged and have the company answer 1000's of calls instead of taking care of business? Well that's a first- There a lot of eyes on PBLS right now and if you are looking for new long term investors- un gagging the T/A will go a long way in that direction- Let the T/A tell current and potential investors what the actuall share count is and let the company do their job growing the business. IMO Good Luck!
If you say so! Since you seem to have all the inside connections maybe you can clue the rest of us in on what were the terms of this latest aquisition and for that matter the terms of the last several aquisitions. TIA!
Hmm not likely- IMO- I mean if that was the case why announce the buyback now instead of waiting until they were done. PBLS was under no obligation at any time to announce they were or have been buying back shares- normally companies announce after they have completed the share purchase and then retire the shares- A better way to PR this would have been to first ungag the T/A and then announce the OS-- then announce they were buying back up to 100 mil shares- as it sits today - we don't know what kind of a dent that makes in the OS or float. At least not oficially. I'm quiet sure PBLS is due to run soon- I guess the key is can they sustain the gains this time and eventually build a higher base. Good luck!
OT glad to hear it [TRBY] IMO opinion you're in the right one [ of the 2] - End of the month I think we get an answer to the partner . Good luck here too!
Zeptepi-Shhh don't tell my wife I'm a swinger- she still thinks I sit in front of the computer all day trading.
OT Are you still holding TRBY? and on a even more morbid note APOA? I have a litlle new good DD on both but only currently own TRBY.
