Your post is excellent. I am wondering if the new regulations will help cut out the competition for low mortgage rates from other lending instiutions? If some knows please.
I agree however let's not forget ESPH has a number of firms they could contract with that could bring in Substantial revenue. I think and this includes me the more we talk about the lack of contracts for the spill we might be starving off I own interest. The fracturing business is lucrative.
I have a call into the Envoirmental Defense Fund. I want to know and members you could answer if Kostner's machine uses disperants. I would like to know. If that is the case we are in good shape for the marshes and the shoreline. However, this company has other focuses. Also lets keep are eyes on the Chemical Disclosure act.
For the last time I am upset they did not get the major contract because the process would not only clean the water but also would put oxygen in the water. So be it but when ESPH asks shareholder, as they have about ideas, I will request eco, debull and others be hired to market this product. The job done so far was very poor indeed.Perhaps their board should read "THIS ONE."
That is hard to say. Either way they need a win big like a contract. I still have hope we will see one and I am hoping it is the white paper. Did any one call the government to see if they received one or were rejected?
They should land a contract. Also the Project Bioshield does not apply to them. I believe however, the cutting could affect them if not checked. In my view there is a fifty fifty chance this company will survive. They did sell to the Air Force and have solid products to sell. There should be good news. If I make money great if not it will be a lost on my income tax. Remember if there is war spending there is a chance they will need radiation detectors and the kits.
I am still awaiting the decision on the white paper. Have you heard anything!
Lets not forget ESPH core business is gas fracturing. The market is huge and they certainly have proven their worth. I am looking forward to the quarterly. I believe this stock is a winner and it will generate many good contracts. Yes, I was discouraged when ESPH was not chosen for the cleanup of "oil" however they did get publicity and have great patents and exposure.
This stock will give me the lost I need for the year. The only hope is a contract. It does appear undt is going nowhere. I am sorry to say.

Offshore drilling woes may land on shore
By Steve Hargreaves, senior writerJuly 14, 2010: 12:44 PM ET
NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- Restrictions on new oil and gas drilling could soon spread from the Gulf of Mexico to onshore operations.
There's currently a moratorium set to last until Nov. 30 on drilling rigs used for deepwater operations in the Gulf. It is designed to halt new operations until the causes of the BP accident are known and new safety procedures can be put in place.

diggEmail Print CommentBut the incident has heightened concerns over other forms of oil and gas drilling -- specifically in the prolific but controversial shale formations.
The shale areas, so-named due to the type of rock they contain, are relatively new areas for natural gas production in the United States. They are thought to hold vast amounts of the fuel used mostly to generate electricity and a cleaner alternative to coal.
But the shale is often located near major population centers, and concerns have arisen that drilling will contaminate drinking water.
Many residents that live in or near the shale areas have formed groups calling for tougher regulations. But so far they've enjoyed little support from the Obama administration or other powerful politicians.
That may be shifting.
"The perception of risk has changed, and the reason for it can be summed up in one word - Macondo," said Kevin Book, a managing director at Clear View Energy Partners, referring to BP's leaking well.
Book is among the analysts that believe tighter federal regulations on shale drilling are coming, perhaps sometime in 2011.
As evidence of the shift, he cited recent comments from Sen. Mike Doyle, D-Penn. Doyle hails from a shale gas state, and as recently as this spring was declaring the United States the Saudi Arabia of natural gas.
Yet in a recent congressional hearing, Doyle told Exxon Mobil chief executive Rex Tillerson that the gas will stay in the ground until the industry can get it out safely.
There are already a few bills in Congress that would increase government regulations on shale drilling.
A spokeswoman for Rep. Diana DeGette, D-Colo, said several new sponsors have signed on to the lawmaker's bill to boost regulations following the BP disaster.
One part of that bill - a provision requiring companies to disclose what types of chemicals they use to bring a new well online - may even be brought to the House floor in the next few weeks, said the spokeswoman.
The BP spill has "brought attention to the issue," she said. "We're definitely seeing an increase in momentum."
What regulations?
Currently, most oversight of shale gas drilling is done by the states. If the federal government played a larger role, it might impose stricter standards on how the wells are cased with steel, increase the distance between drill sites and water sources, and require better cleanup of the fluids used to extract the gas, said Robert Nelson, senior director for global gas at Cambridge Energy Research Associates.
Nelson isn't expecting additional regulations, although he said it's something he's keeping an eye on.
"In the current environment, it's a possibility," he said.

So how much would the additional regulation cost consumers?
Book said it might cost producers an extra 75 cents per million British Thermal Units of gas if the government clamped down on shale drilling. That may put some of the less profitable players out of business, but would still likely leave plenty of companies to produce the gas.
A 75 cent increase in production costs may translate into a $1.50 to $2.25 increase in wholesale prices if it was accompanied by an uptick in economic activity, said Paul Smith, chief risk officer for Mobius Risk Group, a firm that advises energy producers and big energy consumers.
That would mean natural gas prices going from their current $4.50 a BTU to around $6 or $7 - higher prices for sure, but significantly less that the $15 hit during the energy spike a few years back.
Beyond gas
Any new regulations could also be part of a broader push by the administration to get tough on the fossil fuel business following what appears to be a dead deal to charge companies to emit carbon dioxide.
The Obama administration was pushing a compromise energy proposal - pay for greenhouse gas emissions, and get greater access to fossil fuels. That deal is now all but dead, as most Republicans and many Democrats failed to support it over concerns it would be too costly, or simply because they think global warming is not a big problem.
Book said other regulations on the fossil fuel industry could be coming, including tighter clean air laws and additions to the endangered species list.
"It was a contingent bargain, and the bargain didn't happen," said Book. "There's a whole bunch of ways to go after the fossil fuel industry, and they'll all be tried."

Exxon BP? Chevron BP? Not so fast
Should you buy energy stocks?
You cannot deny that the fracturing aspect of the business is essential to the success of esph. Also revenues from the gulf cleanup will certainly put Esph on the map. Further, there is no saying the Gulf Cleanup will not expand to allow Esph further contracts. Yes you are correct we do not see anything such as what Kevin Kostens contract will have re the Gulf Cleanup. However around the marshes, the beaches, and also in the underwater sea life, re shrimp etc. Esph will have a great deal of success. Remember there is on other process which re oxygenates the water like Esph. Feel free to comment and give further insights KngmAZ.
As I had stated in an earlier a mayor of a coastal town said the reply to her is we have more oil then boats. If we get the boats that helps undt. Remember they are needed to hold esphs containers. In my opinion this is good news.

It will be a matter of time but we will get a good contract. So everyone hang in their.
You are correct this is an eco friendly system and is the one that can save the marsh lands. I was watching the news last night and a mayor of a coastal town stated she has asked what is the delay and the answer was, "we have more oil then boats." That is a severe problem along with the fact that Obama Gate delay for intervention has caused more damage then at this time can be controlled. Hopefully Biden who is a hot head but will do something will get disgusted and speed the process of up. Either way I believe it will be decades before the gulf is restored if ever.
She made the device sound like a fish tank never mentioning the Artemis award that was won. Nor did she mention the advantages in a marsh of Esph's eco friendly system. The mispresentation lies in the presentation and the failure to talk about the facts that make this a great device. However, I really believe with the time dragging on investors become nervous and look for other stocks and investments that appear to be moving and do not like to wait for a call.
I feel those who were in for the quick return on profit are now getting discouraged because they have not heard anything. However, the news should be forthcoming. This is taking time but I believe BP became shell shocked when the event occurred along with the Government who should have provided better inspections.
I agree in the sense I feel selling stock by Mr. Goldfarb was poor timing and lent itself to assumptions that could hurt this compnany.
Once again after all the Government red tape I do believe ESPH is in the right place at the right time. Its eco friendly system is the best there is. Joe you are right about Obama. But he certainly is not the only one. What about Bobby Jindal what did he do to insure the safety of the people in his state. Sadly we will have to suffer thru Obama's reign and a glad handing Congress. All we can do is make the right stock picks, or investments, and watch out for ourselves since we truely have no one to represent us.
I agree with you, however ESPH has a definite in the clean-up and will be put to use. I believe that will bring in dollars. However, the only question I now have is if Kostners device is effective will it also vie for a postion in the Gas fracturing Business thus competeing with ESPH? Thus an inquiry with on a message site were the particpants clearly know what they are talking about. Remember even one contract with the clean up will cause the price to rise. However, it is a shame the Esph did not market itself better in the industry. They missed a great opportunity. Once again one contract will clearly increase ESPH.
I do feel this article hurt. It mentioned nothing about the Artemis Award for water tech, nor did it state how the product was endorsed by Mid Gulf. It mentions that Thompson merely assumes had the pilot projects be tried in the Southwest he would have heard. Ms. Davis also says the tech is like the water device in a fish tank.I would like to know who owns a fish tank that can heat upo to 900 degrees f and has superheated radical? The only fish story here is Melissa Davis. By the way she never mentioned that the device Kostner sold failed on the first attempt in fact it became clogged. This article should be answered with a factual swift response.
In closing very appreciated joe.
What is going on shows a total lack of Leadership by the present adminstration. Also by the Governor who should be active in an immediate cleanup. However, I do think within the next two weeks BP will be detailing the cleanup effort and who they hired. Espn being the one who will clean the marshes which will be worse if a hurricane comes. The wind and ran will drive the oil further into the marshland. But it is really ashame what we have in the White House and the total lack of leadership. What we need in this country is less Obama's and more JoedeBulls!!!
This stock has had several sales over the last few years but nothing substantial. Until we see a substantial contract, private or a government white paper it will continue to be a daytraders dream.I feel it will have one more great run to say the least. But to many false starts.

I saw the interview. It was excellent and of course ESPH's arguement among the fact it is a TECH that works is "TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE. Laco ESPH should hear something by next week and definitely by the following week. It is a shame Troy and Drew were even involved. Yes, one contract and believe me if you own a lot of shares and sell after it explodes you will need an armored car to take the cash to the bank. So lets get that contract. For PR purposes next week would be great for BP because this week they are getting battered. The public may not hear about the tech that can resolve the program. So Laco get the champagne bottle and be ready to uncork.
Because BP must develop a plan and are under pressure to do so this helps in the selection of ESPH. What is frustrating is the lack of marketing and planning the ESPH in regard to the necessity of these machines. Also the present adminstration is to lackluster in their approach to handle any crisis. The aid of the coast guard and the navy should have been immediately enlisted. In fact in a poll Bush was more favored in his reponse to Katrina then Obama's response to the spill. That is also frustrating along side of the fact that BP could file a Chapter 11 thus holding everthing off for a while. In short there are numerous factors here where there seems to be gaps before action. Also the 20 billion appears to be for Business Claims, what about cleanup? In the final analysis ESPH should benefit from the potential it may receive a contract from BP and surely Gulf Services.Clearly Skinny you have a right to be frustrated and outright angered.
I agree with everthing you say about this product. However, this company should have moved faster with this tech. It is ashame because the potential is great along with the return. If Bp has agreed to spend 1 billion for the cleanup esph should be part of that cleanup at least thru Gulf Services whom they signed the letter of intent with.
There is nothing more to say you are correct.
Excellent post enter esph if Bp is being told to step up spill then esph is one to look at. Great factual information. Next week could be crucial for esph and news re BP spill. The chances of esph now being involved have gone up 60 percent.

Skinny when I saw this stock before I read about Kostner I said I am looking at a gold mine. I hope you and firemen are right but remember it is always good to have the facts. There should be a boost from the Huckabee show. It could go above 1.43. Yes there is need for this tech. We are not just talking about gallons we are talking about area. The need for the tech is important. Hurrican season will not wait. Based on these two factors 1. the area the spill covers, and 2. Hurrican season you would think the need is now. So lets hope BP sees the wisdom in this type of process Esph has. To be quite frank I do not understand why esph has not recieved a mutlimillon dollar contract as of now. But once again Troy and Drew at not the type of people dennis murphy needs to sell these good. I would like to see an engineer in the industry who is an expert talking to BP, the coast guard and the Government. So go Esph but please lets look at all the facts.
Get your facts straight. I do feel bad because I think ESCOP has the better tech. However, there is a chance in my opinion the tech may be used. I just would not bank on it.
BP has given the green light for funding of a device that can separate oil from water.
Development of the machine, which uses a centrifuge to separate the fluids, has been backed by actor Kevin Costner to the tune of $25 million.
John Houghtaling, Costner's chief partner in the project, told WWL First News that the oil company has ordered 32 of the devices for use in the Gulf of Mexico.
"In a matter of weeks, we can be manufacturing ten of these a week," Houghtaling said. "So we're hoping by the first of August to have all 32 of these things in the Gulf."
Listen to Houtaling talk about the deployment of the device:
According to Houtaling, the machines cost roughly half a million dollars to build, but also require the hiring of vessels to take them out onto the water.
Though the world-famous actor and Houtaling are both pleased that BP has now agreed to deploy the devices, Costner told members of Congress earlier this week. that he'd had a hard time getting an opportunity to try out his centrifuge for the Coast Guard.
"We would offer to take our machines out there but we couldn't get onto the spots because the Coast Guard would regulate that we couldn't get there," Costner testified.
Houghtaling said that in addition to providing clean-up duty in the gulf, deployment of even more of the devices could aid in shortening the six-month moratorium on deep-water drilling.
He said that he'd like to see the government use the machines as a safety measure to keep the deep-water drilling rigs in operation as safety procedures are reviewed.
"By the end of August...our company can have thirty-three of the machines around the rigs. If there's a spill, we can deploy," Houtaling said.

Meanwhile Costner's company is moving toward leasing 16 more oil sucking and separating machines to Plaquemines Parish officials directly. They say if BP won't pay for that, they may sell the oil local officials pull from the water and fund the machines that way.

The is a complete falsehood to say I am trying to bash the price down. My understanding is they took 32 machines. Lets have a decent discussion instead of trying to pump something that may not go.
What face they caused the largest man made disater effecting the US. As far as Huckabee remember he has people like the mentalists. The question is what are the facts. They bought Kostners and not ESPH. I feel they have esph poor marketing. I do not understand how they lost that deal. But they did so far. They may use esph but certainly they are not in the first position. If you see a big contract then I would invest not now. I put 12 grand to buy this stock in my Bank and am now considering not doing so until I see a contract. One that has 6 zeros behind it.
These men are not good spokesmen. Also why would BP pay to have 32 of these built and then use ESCOP. This is further disappiontng in the sense ESCOP alread has a contract with BP for its fractured wells. It appears that Costner was able to sell his idea before ESCOP. Not just to BP but possibly to the Coast Guard and other oil companies. Mid Gulf is basically into disater relief but not high tech. My analysis if Costners idea works ESCOP will be and also ran and literally in the CLEAN UP position after Costners equipment.
Thank you all for the information. I also understand that on the first try Mr. Kostners machine clogged ie failed. However, he did testify before Congress. If you ask me more as a salesmen.
What about Kevin Costner selling 32 machines to clean up oil does this take Ecosphere out of the picture?
I am still awaiting response from Government regarding the white paper. If granted this stock will sky rocket. The reason being the applications for security and other areas are enormous.Plus the fact they are contracting with 911 should increase their chances 10 fold of getting more contracts. Those would include chemical hazard as well the kits, and possibly the large machine they sell which is not only patented but from what I understand is cheaper then the system used in the post now for anthrax. So I am very impressed with the companies potential but a contract is needed asap that has value behind it.
Once again great news but need contracts in the millions. Not just 2000 or so. This is possible now that they are selling chemical detectors re Morphix. Also with all the problems with North Korea which has bio terror storage, were are the sales?
News looks good at 4pm, undt will bid with new partner 911.
Believe me nothing good will happen until there is good news. I hope it holds if it does look for a good next week re news.
