We'll prevent the continued destruction, despite the whiners.
You are caught in the whiners paradox - the only way you'll be happy is if something terrible happens like Americans or Iraqi civilians get hurt, thus giving you the opportunity to say I told you so... Even that dream is fading along with whiners asking where the chemicals are.
Yes, you're right, they need to clean out the Baath.
Popular uprising in Baghdad. The common Iraqi has more faith than many Arabs.
Heck, that wouldn't make any difference to you would it? You'd think they were bought off. You should be glad this is going so well.
Well, your propaganda postings have put me to sleep. Guess it is that time anyway.
Try one more time, maybe three times a charm. Read it over and ask yourself, "Does this make sense?"
? You must be rattled, slowly complete your thought and type one word at a time. Be sure there is continuity between the words, that way you might form a comprehensible sentence.
lol, you really believe that - and of course there is no American troops at the Baghdad International Airport.. lol oops, I forgot who I was posting too <g>.
Good point, speaking of big oil...look what countries grovel to keep their cut of the pie.
lol, cute, that is a bunch of whiners!
On Friday, the only turnaround we had to watch, IDXX, alerted but didn't go far, yet. The breakouts that alerted included PENN and PRX, there was only four to watch.
Sam
lol, How long did it take the UN to find them last time....let's see...um 3 years...and then after Saddam's son-in-law escaped Iraq. So stop back by after a year, and you can continue to whine... 17 days is just the dawn. Right now we need to finish the war, and making the people feel free to come forward.
What world community are you talking about? The whiners who can't get off their butts to make a decision? Who do you think you can depend on? The 20 year old soldier working day after day, putting his life at risk to make the world safer? Or, the 20 year old, freeloader playing dead in the street between unemployment checks? And you really think the slacker "world community" have the huevos to do to anything other than whine?
They've found enough. The rest will be more egg on your face.
The Iraq people are touching freedom for the first time, what a wonderful gift.
Not like we have to find anything else, the world is now realizing the shame of letting Saddam stay in power as long as it did.
International war crimes? Get real. The whimpy whiners didn't even have the guts to remove Saddam. Guess they can a kangaroo court out in the street along with a die in.
Hey I saw you on TV, you might have a future on Saturday Night Live, Iraqi mis-information minister mohommed saeed-al-sylvester!
"We were able to chop off their rotten heads, the attack was halted and the coalition force began retreating, chased by the fire of our forces. The valiant force of republican guard have control of the airport."
That was so cool that you could say that with a straight face!

My biggest fear was that the service version of the ISM Index would come in below 50, and it did just that, at 47.9. A drop below 50 is contraction, and like I said yesterday, combined with the other numbers we've seen, I believe we are back in a recession. As far as the market goes; the market looks out six months or more in the future, so it still isn't unreasonable that the low we saw three weeks ago was the bottom. However, a "V" recovery, in either the economy or the market, isn't in the cards, and company's earnings might be revised down, yet another quarter.
It is so hard to avoid being pushed and pulled by the global events and the economic prospects, the best thing one can do is to keep grounded by paying attention to the market internals, if there are more buyers than sellers be a buyer, if there are more sellers join them, or stay out.
We harp on this a lot, but when you realize that 3 out of 4 stocks will follow the market direction, you better understand that bucking the trend is a losing game. Obviously you can't buy and sell on the whims of one market day, thinking you are following the direction of the market. That is why we have the SSRatio. We've found it to be the best judge of the market direction because it compares the volume going into the up trending stocks to the volume in the down trending stocks, and looks at the rate of change in the number of stocks trading at above average volume.
There are other ways to pay attention to the market direction, moving averages etc., but it is important that you realize how much of a difference the market makes on the move of the individual stocks.

Another good day, HOTT, PENN and TSCO alerted off our list.
Sam
This was our list for today:
"The number of stocks on the lists today should make for an interesting day. Six potential turnaround stocks screened out; APPX, CLE, MSFT, PBG, POSS and TIF. And nine potential breakouts to watch; BLL, CECO, CHS, CLX, DF, DRL, FCN, FNF and STJ."
Sam
If you checked us yesterday, you could have held the same mentioned "...and looked for bounces (like in APOL, CECO, COCO)....
Sam
No alerts off the watchlist today, we played stocks that we carry, and looked for bounces (like in APOL, CECO, COCO) and breakouts like BLUD.
Sam
Today we only had six stocks on our list, including turnaround and breakout, of that list BG and STLD alerted a turn and LXK alerted a breakout.
Everyone have a nice weekend.
Sam
The only turnaround stock that alerted was INVN. And, APOL was the only breakout stock alerting today.
Sam
Not one alert stock we were watching alerted today. We had a list of short term opportunities of stocks we carry on our watch screen, like APPX, but otherwise it was quiet.
Sam
THC alerted the turn today, (we have a position from Monday) and FCN alerted a breakout, though it didn't move strong.
Our estimate of the market risk remains low. No really good feel on which way we'll go Wednesday.
Sam
We only watched one potential turnaround stock today; THC. Even though it never alerted, I like the support it has at 16.50 and bought a position there.
Sam
lol, don't get your panties in a wad, there is plenty of time for you to find another excuse.
But of course, who believes the UN inspectors, they went 3 years before they could find anything last time. Just wait...or better yet you'd better think of some excuses or someone to blame for your ignorance.
lol, I feel better now. I wouldn't expect you to admit you're wrong, just maybe some others following this thread might be more open.
The huge 100-acre complex, which is surrounded by a electrical fence, is perhaps the first illegal chemical plant to be uncovered by US troops in their current mission in Iraq. The surrounding barracks resemble an abandoned slum.
It wasn't immediately clear exactly which chemicals were being produced here, but clearly the Iraqis tried to camouflage the facility so it could not be photographed aerially, by swathing it in sand-cast walls to make it look like the surrounding desert.
Sorry for the egg comment, it wasn't very nice of me.
Sam
Washing egg off your face? Some of the chemicals you didn't think they had. Now confirmed by all.

In review of SSRatio signals so far this year; we've seen the NASDAQ rise 2.23% while the SSRatio has been positive, but also climb 1.01% while it has been negative, (a decline of 5.59% during one negative period plus a rise of 6.57% between 3/6 and 3/18 before going positive). The NYSE, again, so far during 2003, has risen 3.24% while the ratio has been positive, and fallen 5.41% during the negative periods. Realize the SSRatio indicates the strength of the whole market, which has a large impact on the individual stock and how one should approach a trade relative to the markets internal strength. So far year we've seen 35 days of negative SSRatio and 21 days of positive SSRatio.
Sam
Well, it appears we are no longer having an intellectual discussion here so I'm done posting. I'll come back and apologize to you if the Iraq people aren't better off in a few years.
Sam
Let's for a moment say it is July 2001:
President Bush gets information that Al Qaeda is plotting an attack in the United States. With all the background information available to President Bush from former President Clinton, it is obvious that the United States must be proactive and put Al Qaeda out of business.
Knowing that the Taliban is protecting Al Qaeda, President Bush requests the Taliban to evict Al Qaeda from Afghanistan otherwise he will attack Afghanistan. The world gets upset and thinks President Bush should bring this up with the UN, after all, what has Afghanistan done to the United States?
If Bush attacks, and there is no attack on the World Trade Center: The whiners will have a fit "he is a war monger and killed all those people and bombed Afghanistan into the dark ages for no reason"
If Bush attacks and the WTC is still destroyed by Al Qaeda: The whiners will have a fit "he brought this on us by attacking those poor innocent people."
President Bush isn't going to win with all the WHINERS that are always looking for someone else to blame.
WHINERS: The hunt for someone to blame:
Blame Bush for the economy doing bad "he is giving to the rich"
Blame Bush for the economy doing good "he is just the corporate fat cats taking from the poor"
Blame Bush for rising healthcare costs
Blame HMO's for the cost of healthcare
Blame market makers for individual losses in the market
Blame Enron for the bear market
Blame the internet for the bear market
Blame the brokerage firms for pumping stocks
Blame the brokerage firms for missing the bull market
Blame chat rooms for pumping stocks
Blame SUV's for rising oil prices
Blame Cheney for rising oil prices
Blame Greenspan for reducing money market income and driving elderly Americans into soup kitchens
Blame Greenspan for a weakening dollar
Blame McDonald's for getting fat
Blame Bowflex for pulled muscle
Blame Nike for not paying the Chinese workers the same middle income of those in California
Blame Foot Locker for the high price of a Nike
Blame the schools for their lack of education
Blame their parents for their lack of moral strength
Blame Furniture Mart for hemorrhoids
Blame me for your repetitive reading disorder!
Sam
Dang, if I was Clinton I'd think I was inhaling all this time after all.....<g>
You are unbelievable. Surely you must be posting like do to pull everyone's leg? I suppose you believe the Iraqis when they say they have full control of their country, have not blown oil wells, and not any of their troops have surrendered?
Sam
Some anti-war demonstrators faced reality:
A group of American anti-war demonstrators who came to Iraq with Japanese human shield volunteers made it across the border today with 14 hours of uncensored video, all shot without Iraqi government minders present. Kenneth Joseph, a young American pastor with the Assyrian Church of the East, told UPI the trip "had shocked me back to reality." Some of the Iraqis he interviewed on camera "told me they would commit suicide if American bombing didn't start. They were willing to see their homes demolished to gain their freedom from Saddam's bloody tyranny. They convinced me that Saddam was a monster the likes of which the world had not seen since Stalin and Hitler. He and his sons are sick sadists. Their tales of slow torture and killing made me ill, such as people put in a huge shredder for plastic products, feet first so they could hear their screams as bodies got chewed up from foot to head."

Sam
I suppose you believe this? Why don't you post the reports of cancer related to Iraq's oil industry, or the 1.5 million killed for not "believing"...or support your point with the wonderful standard of living the Iraq's have, while poor Saddam lived like a pauper giving away riches.
Sam
Truth? Wakeup and smell the roses.
Where do I begin, you have posted so much false truths it is hard to know where to begin. I'm not trying to stop you from saying anything, just open your eyes before your mouth.
Post something that is relevant, i.e. it is irrelevant that there are worldwide anti-war demonstrations, that doesn't make anything right or wrong, remember Nixon won on a landslide. Nor does it necessarily make it right that now 75% of the American public agree with President Bush.
You haven't posted one solid reason why we shouldn't have invaded Iraq. What are you going to think when we find the chemical weapons? ....if we have "bombed them to the dark ages" we've brought their standard of living up...and it will only get better from here.
Sam
My comment from 3/18 still stands:
I have no doubt that the Iraqis have biological and chemical weapons, and that they have an interest is spreading terrorism, and that the present Iraq government is no better than an organized crime family holding the public in terror. But the big question was, do we have the right to remove the government of another country?
I repeat, the question was. The time for that discussion is now past. So, being my optimistic self; I see our troops very soon liberating an oppressed people, and the world will be appalled at what we uncover. We will be proud that we played a leadership role in removing a tyrant. Being a leader is being first to enter, often where others fear to tread. Everyone has those fears, we can imagine all these things going wrong, but as a people, and a country, we are leaders. I know we and those that stand with us will all be proud when a free Iraq looks for those to thank for putting an end to their hell, and the shame will fall on the rest.
