how does one get house shares?
Wei Tai followed Chan to Suntech, NRG, and now Andalay. And that guy that said we should have hired a marketing and sales person obviously didn't research Wei Tai at all.
From 2009-2012, Wei-Tai was Suntech Power’s VP Strategic Marketing, with global responsibilities for developing and overseeing go-to-market strategies for the company’s products, services and solutions. He originally joined Suntech as VP Marketing (Americas) in April 2009, where he was responsible for all marketing, PR, communications, and market research activities targeting residential & commercial and utility solar segments. In May 2009 he took on the additional role of VP Global Marketing, with oversight of branding, communications, and marketing across the company’s five regions (Europe, Japan, Americas, China and APMEA). In this role he also established the company’s product marketing group, responsible for articulating the technical advantages of Suntech products vs. the competition.
Yes, Andalay did revolutionize rooftop installation. That is why they are so suited to residential installs. Reducing installation parts by 80% and installation costs by 50% is huge. Everyone in the industry will have to have this or something similar (Zep) to compete.
Back in the early days of solar the installers were mostly specialty trades like electricians, roofers, and Heating and Air (HVAC) contractors. Many of these companies would like solar as part of their mix now, but cannot justify the cost of tooling up and training for what would be only a small portion of their business. Andalay has what it takes to penetrate this market.
As for the existing solar specialists.
Increases in efficiency of panels offer little reduction in per watt costs. But, 50% reduction in install cost offer a big reduction in cost and a big competitive advantage.
The only concern with Andalay is, do they have the plan and the team assembled to reach the potential.
Capital gains are fun!
20 solid residential dealers and a license or two would probably get us there.
$1.50 share price with $5 billion a year revenue?
Total pps reversal!
Dogs and cats, living together! Mass hysteria!
leave for a month and it will be UDDER CHAOS

Mira, aqui viene el tormienta
that was meant for swiamca
Solar 3 d has been in business for 13 years +-, and still is in the prototype stage and you say that Andalay is a scam?
Calling them crooks is pretty bold.
What evidence?
YOY Q3 revenue up 380%.
YOY Q3 gross profit from negative to 500%+
And the the shares are dropping!
I wouldn't worry too much about some trolls who have done minimal DD.
just kidding
buying opportunity in progress
The more DD you do on Andalay the more it seems to be a legitimate turn-around and not a con job.
here is an example of real dilution. As July 26, 2012, they had 128,718,788 shares of common stock issued and outstanding They have currently over 6 billion shares outstanding and 20 billion plus approved, plus 500,000 preferred.

This is an example of toxic financing and abysmally poor management.

Here is a marijuana stock. they are the new hot scams. Solar was like this around 1980, except the deals were done in person, by the mail, and in printed materials. Same cons, new tools.

It's an equity line that Andalay requests draw downs. They are not dumping all of these shares at once. South ridge is receiving shares as payment. This is not typical penny stock dilution.
The deal with southridge was done on January, 23,2014 and has been in the quarterly reports since.
This deal is nothing we haven't known about. Look at the past quarterlys. Is it dilution? Yes. Is it the business model for andalay? I doubt it. The executive team loses big if so.
so, why do they file this two weeks from the end of 2014 with consolidated statements from 2012 and 2013? The prospectus would look a lot better if they waited a month and used 2013 and 2014 numbers.
Meh, 34% more shares. So what. Even if it doubles, so what? It gives them the latitude to pursue long term goals. They doubled sales last quarter. It they double sales this quarter it's worth the 34% dilution.
jeffro, as a momentum trader this should be good news to you
They have solid patents on technology that everyone will need to stay competitive. They have thousands of systems installed. They have a team of industry heavy hitters. Sure there is still a chance of failure, but more than likely they will grow exponentially in the next couple of years

Are you using "voice to text"?
sorry, I was responding to the two persons who think Andalay should be selling panels in Lowes.
Home depot is renting Solar City a small spot in the store(s) so Solar City can generate leads for their sales staff. If you do not understand how this works ask and someone will explain it to you.
Andalay does not do in home sales and installs any more. Their goal is to sell to Solar City or installers like Solar City. You do this by setting sales meetings with upper management or ownership, not by paying people to hawk your product at a retail store.
The strategy needs to match the strengths of the technology. Solar is by it's nature a decentralized technology that is best suited to many small systems. The Andalay patented technologies are designed specifically for the residential and small commercial market.
From the latest release:
"implement our new strategies, including the licensing of our technology to core module suppliers and the broad adoption of our patented products by key installers."
This states at least two main points of strategy. We have not seen the fruits of licensing, but we have begun to see the adoption of Andalay panels by more installers.
Whose name is on the 100M loan?
Maybe it's time for Westinghouse to put up or shut up. It seems that their current strategy for solar isn't really working. If they want to continue in the solar market they just might have to invest some of their billions instead of charging big money for small corporations to use their name.

Oil is already dead, they just don't know it yet.
Dead commodity walking.
production decline rate and exponential price increase for new production will doom oil shale long before the glowing projections of the oil companies.
It's a little complicated. Suntech defaulted on a 541 million dollar bond, filed bankruptcy, was liquidated. This was claimed to be only .27% of their total debt.
"but we must and will take all necessary steps to bring infringement of our patents to an end."
Wrong headed thinking and at the root of the problem. Let everyone use it an get a retroactive royalty. Spend a small portion of your income and settle in for a long fight. If it takes 10 years, at least you aren't bankrupting yourself with legal costs.
