Wei Tai followed Chan to Suntech, NRG, and now Andalay. And that guy that said we should have hired a marketing and sales person obviously didn't research Wei Tai at all.


From 2009-2012, Wei-Tai was Suntech Power’s VP Strategic Marketing, with global responsibilities for developing and overseeing go-to-market strategies for the company’s products, services and solutions. He originally joined Suntech as VP Marketing (Americas) in April 2009, where he was responsible for all marketing, PR, communications, and market research activities targeting residential & commercial and utility solar segments. In May 2009 he took on the additional role of VP Global Marketing, with oversight of branding, communications, and marketing across the company’s five regions (Europe, Japan, Americas, China and APMEA). In this role he also established the company’s product marketing group, responsible for articulating the technical advantages of Suntech products vs. the competition.
