Absolutely.
Great article. I particularly liked DFs comments. Everything correlates with my conversations with JH. Thank you!
I understand
Interviewing for what?
I believe these are the SPORT robotic arms developed at Marlex Engineering. So the the developer of the snake arms also developed the hand controller. Good. Ximedica will bring it all together. Very many engineers involved.

Unfortunately no. But I'm not to far from Nashville and I'm hoping one ends there especially since the co-inventor is at Vanderbilt School of Engineering.

It seems to me that Titan has more than 1 company helping to commercialize SPORT. I think Marlex Engineering http://www.marlexeng.com/ is or has developed the hand controller. The force feedback inventor owns the company and the pending patents are listed there. The hand controller patent should be next. IMO
In relationship to:
lines 50-60 in section 4 on page 9:
I take this to mean that the hand controller can be easily fitted on any upgraded version of SPORT. I believe the hand controller can only be used in SPORT since Titan holds the patent. This plays into the whole idea of having a modular design (which SPORT has) so that hospitals are not cornered into having to buy a whole new system whenever they want to upgrade. A certain single component can be improved on or upgraded and fitted into the original purchased SPORT without having to purchase a whole new robot...unlike that other company. This is one of the biggest complaints of the "customer", I being one of them. It is being addressed from the get go.
Thanks Ted.
Exactly!

Thanks again for a great find.
Baxano Surgical went bankrupt. He's not very picky.
The video was released 6 weeks ago.
I agree. That was the challenge with IREP from the get go. I can't wait to see the controller or surgeon console. I like fact that Ximedica has young human factor engineers working on SPORT. For this reason I think the intuitiveness will be awesome. IMHO.
I'm a lone wolf at my new Hospital. It's a small community hospital. Been here for 6 months. Share my ideas with you guys on this board only. I'm kind of private when it comes to investments. That's probably why I post here more than most surgeons. All I know is that I'm maxing out my wife's Roth IRA for 2015 with Titan shares next week. $5500 worth. She has no clue about robotic surgery. A gift!
Just curious. What did the surgeons, nurses and reps that you know think about the last video?
The market is always irrational.
Kind of reminds me of the 1 or 2 occasions when a patient has tried to advise me on what kind of surgery I should do. In one ear and out the other. He will never respond to you ever again. Well played elcaribes, well played.
Your arguments make absolutely no sense. Medical students would never be allowed to practice on a surgical robot. They aren't surgeons and most of them never will be...geeeezze!!!!!

She is a Health Care investor strategist and former health care analysts as are the others in her firm. She knows what's required to get to the next level and that doesn't include answering to anyone on this board. Also, her job is not pander to you but provide face time between Titan management and institutional investors and analysts. She not authorized or supposed to communicate with you or any other random investor.
Are they invested in Titan?
If coming out with a lighter, self sharpening ax 6 months before an improved chain saw, is advantageous to the ax company, than the answer to your question is yes.
Let me try this AGAIN:
SPORT and Surgibot are totally different. Surgibot is a conduit that you can pass long flexible surgical instruments through to perform SS surgery. SPORT is 2 parallel robot arms (Da Vinci and all other surgical robots are serial robots similar to those used in other industries). These parallel robot arms are the first and only to ever be used in surgery. They are controlled by a computer and separate surgeon console. The guy your worried knows everything about cardiac stents and very little about general surgery or robotic surgery. Have another Xanax.
I suggest Abilify for you.
Wow, what hatred you have for the man! If he doesn't get fired as you hope and is by some miracle, he is successful and SPORT is commercialized under his watch, you will come off as an even worse jerk than you do now. I wonder if you will be posting when that day comes.
I agree, PPS matters especially when and if they need more funds. The fact is that they are saving a ton of money by outsourcing to Ximedica which I think was a great idea. I just don't gain anything from reading the complaining and whining on this board. I would rather do DD and read that done by others on this board. That's all.
For those that care; I just found out that Nabil Simaan (the inventor of SPORTs snake arms) received his Masters and PhD under Moshe Shoham a Professor at Technion in Israel and Founder of Mazor Robotics and creator of the spine-assist surgical guidance system. In Feb 2014 Professor Shoham was elected to the NAE. Very few non-Americans engineers are.
Professor Shoham is developing the Virob, a 14mm long robot that could one day circulate in the human body. It was featured on CNN by Dr. Gupta last year.
I know this does nothing for PPS but this was for the ones watching the game not the scoreboard watchers who may not be interested.
I can guarantee that this is the lowest it goes this year! Happy New Year Wolf Pack.

.....oh and the anesthesiologists hate going to the MRI suite as well.
This has come up on this board before Duke. I think the problem is that there are a lot of navigational technologies in this space including in OR CT scanners and software that that can transpose the information from the CT or MRI to the pt in the OR. MAZOR is one that comes to mind but their are several out their. Belize me may know more. A neurosurgeon would prefer to stay in the OR. IMO
Sorry but you're out of luck. You won't find any surgeons on Ihub that would invest in or want to use Surgibot. Their are at least 5 surgeons including myself and several anesthesiologist on the Titan board who have explained why at length in response to LGT whenever he promotes this stock on that board. Just go through the posts. You may have to call one of the surgeons in North Carolina who have tested it and support it. I'm sure LGT can give you some names.
La la la la la la la......we can't hear you.
The U.S. Military provided the initial funding to develop robotic remote telepresence surgery before anyone had ever heard of it. The benefit to soldiers in combat is obvious. That's why they are interested in SPORT. I don't know why they would be interested in Surgibot which would put the surgeon in harms way.
Merry Christmas to all!
I think we are in the minority on this board.
