Such simple answer, but so wrong. Cost is one of the reasons, but the biggest is that 3D is still a fledgling medium. HD is still not even fully integrated yet. It was an incredibly stupid business move for ESPN to get into the 3D market. They do not have the content that is conducive to 3D. Movies are about the only content that is worth getting 3D for at the moment. But this is a young technology. It will take off when it has the content. Don't know if that will help this stock, but it will help somebody.
