Im pretty sure they will set me up so i dont have to worry for money in a long time
All i have to do is wait, i got no problem with that
Going strong. Almost 5 shares traded today.
You gotta love Tanjaz persistency! Great investigative skills and providing so much drama to our fiasco! Which will pay off BTW
Go escrow!!!!! I am a proud unicorn!!!!!
Great question. If the timelines coincide then it makes it much more interesting
A wise man said Hope is a good thing maybe the best of all things ( Red from Shawshank redeption). But i do believe hope is better with facts
Great DD! I was thinking, the more you guys dig, the. More you find. It probably would have been cheaper for them to gives say 20b 5 years ago and most of us would have walked away with joy. Now 20b is a slap in the face
Another not so wise man said Greed is good, oh and he went to jail. Wink, wink Jamie
Awesome post and attitude
Sent this a while back. Hope it helps
Thank you
What is the benefit. Not taxable distributions from escrow?
It feels good to come of of the dark. We all know there have been so many screwed investors from this debacle. Hopefully, the people who got taken at 20 and 30 will be able to recoup something close to their investment. The ones who came to clean up will get a patient, well deserved hefty payday. As long as JPM does not keep what is jot theirs ( other than what they have already looted) that puts me at ease
Good reasoning except that the 100 B was not in their BS
Lol, same here. You read my mid!
Like your thoughts. I think a lot of us average Joe's think the same way. A lot of us risked large amounts, part due to gambling, part du to ignorance and part due to hope that this travesty could not end up as a normal event. Light is certainly closers, but yet not within grasp
And that was probably by design too
That would more or less explain why JPM paid only 1.9b. They never got the goods
Thanks for your reply
I get what you are saying. Do not agree with you on some aspects but curious on your statement that it can't happen until we move off the pinks. Can u elaborate on that please?
8-12 for q's
My bad, Rosen
From what i read and scanned the purpose of this filing is to challenge the BK courts ruling of awards to Directors (Golden Parachutes). Sussman seems to argue that the court has no saying on it, because the Fdic does not allo it and therefore it needs to be eliminated. Makes sense to me
I wonder if that reply is somewhere in Sopena'd documents?
Had not seen this document. Shocking!
It looks like a really good business for us to begin with. About $800 M annually after recent acquisition and about 6-8% EBITDA, GM% in the 40's BUT do see about a 15-18% average in uncollectibles, but i guess that is part of their business model. Very few earnings though to use up $6B in NOL's, which leads me to believe that the company must take on at least at 3 to 4 times the size of this company to use them within a reasonable time frame. There is a great presentation in pdf about the recent acquisition in their website. Here is the link

If its WMIH then you are right, but if its WAMU thru WMLIT then LG's point is very well received
Go Escrow, take your sweet time but be sure to get here
Do we know if any insiders are selling or buying in these latest 2 weeks?
According to others $10B leaves $1.7 per escrow. So 27B would leave $4.59. That is way good for me!
Simple answer is that if LT gets capitalized by a settlement or escrow awards, they get a 2.5% of the pie. So for every billion awarded to LT WMIH get 25 million, and that trickles down per share
Also, if there is pending litigation or unknown no right company will invest in WMIH
IMHO
That is pretty much a comment on all distressed fins for any company. Nothing new!
Great find charles
If all shares were sold and maxed out...
Not so much as they own 2.5% of the proceeds of any LTI recoveries IMO
Anybody heard from Dan Senters? Is he still with MRIB?
When the LTI pays out, how will that revenue be taxed? Capital Gain, ordinary income? Other? Thanks for the help
JPM broke so many rules, many people are convinced they didn't break a single one. Let's just wait and see if hope/reality ever meet, but I will tell you one reality, my escrows are safe, and whether you think they will pay or not, i believe they will. More power to you in your own hopes.
Awesome DD and facts! I have always believed that WAMU would give me a comfortable nest egg and I still do. I rarely post, but I follow daily, and without a doubt I am hoping that LG and yourself are right and know that justice should be served, even if it takes a while. Thieves and scoundrel like JPM will never have my business. They should be ashamed of the difficulties they have made thousand of investors pass for their greed and inhuman moral character.
Share his sentiment and look forward to escrow. It wont be tomorrow but it will be here. 12 months or five years all I know is that I still will own the shares. WMIH is a waiting game with more certainty, the NOLs give us immediate value and looks to me like a $10 to $20 play before 2015
Good luck to all longs!
Kkr will not be liable for any WMI escrow. That is another matter completely separate.
The key here would be to find if this is the new presentation or new company and not an old list, and if it is, then the real upside of this list is also that the product is authorized at Vons (Safeway) and Ralphs ((Kroger). If this is the situation then you are looking at National distribution shortly if it was able to get in schematic (planogram)
It that is the case then the waves of refreshed stores will start hitting at different times, if not on national planogram the the Regional sets will help much
The worst case scenario is that this is a called flexible item and that it would be at the manager discretion. We can easily find out if a Californian on this forum can go to either of these stores and talk to the section leader for wines and ask him/her if there is a planogram or flexible. Then someone in the Midwest can check the UPC number at the backdoor and if it goes then it got national distribution eventually, if not the we know it is regional or local
Just a thought
I like your numbers and agree with almost all. Only issues I am having is
1) we just saw a picture of Marani on the shelf at $12.99,
if it is incorrect because it is an old presentation then disregard this if not, two alternatives,
A) the old bottle is 750ml and the new is 1lt or
B) the product we are seeing is not the same one as the one we are discussing for $15.99
2) if the product is $12,99 at retail, then if you take out the stores margin at a minimum of 40% and the distributor margin at a minimum of 30% then we really don have much left for sales and that would make your valuation per share that much lower
Not discounting your effort like I said I like it, i just want to see if I am understanding correctly
Thanks
Mad4
I feel your plan is a logical scenario and based on sound arguments. We obviously understand that it is an opinion but an informed and viable option based on events and the ruled of the game. We shall see together as I am long term all the way. Thanks for taking the time to provide your thoughts
