I think it is the "Walter" effect!
The video that you have included is an osteosarcoma treatment provided by Advaxis.
I think that the caller was confused and may have been thinking of GALE - the CEO of GALE was on with Cramer and subsequently had a significant stock blow-up. GALE is now on a more even keel so the caller probably was referring to that incident.
Pyrr,
Thanks for putting in all the hard work. It really does make a difference. Great article!
Why do you say that the Advaxis technology is superior to Aduro's? Is that generally accepted?
Is there some news that people are responding to?
Pyrrhonian, excellent article - very compelling. Thank you for taking the time to put it together.
Welcome - and thanks for the post!
Titan, I am having trouble trying to get to this article. For some reason nothing is coming up on the instablog. Tried to find it via Goggle as well but to no avail. Sorry to bother you.
DLucky, I think that we would all agree with you. There is no reason for management to not communicate with the shareholders - no one is asking them to disclose information to just one shareholder! We are all requesting the information.
And Prop, you are correct in that we all need to be moving in a positive direction without the interpersonal sniping. This venture has too much promise to let it stagnate like this.
Thanks for posting this - helps clarify what DCVax Direct is dealing with.
No, that is not the stock that they were inquiring about. They were asking about another biotech stock.
I would guess that people who hold stocks that are sought for shorting purposes are contacted. In my case, they identified a specific stock that they had interest in. (Doesn't say much for my choice of stocks!)
Yes, I got a similar message about ten days ago. They are looking for stocks that their clients can legitimately short.
I am just surprised that he would take so long to react. Do you think that there are enough votes to support the management request in the OIP? I find that difficult to believe unless shareholders are just not responding to the proxy.
O'Connor was so active and vocal last time when we were involved with the reverse stock split. His current silence is surprising. One would think that before the shareholder meeting he would be more active in putting forth his agenda.
I think that if management bought shares for their own accounts, even if it were a nominal amount, that that in itself would get the share price above a dollar.
I thoroughly agree, Barnie. We are overdue for some communication from management.
Thanks for posting this. I couldn't find Advaxis' abstract entry on the ASCO site. It is good to see that they do have a presentation accepted.
Who are the "compensated awareness promoters"?
I assume that most of you have read the Zacks article on NWBO but, if not, it is definitely worth a read.

Thanks for posting this article. ADXS and INO - different techniques but targeting the same cancer.
I would like to reinforce canoepaddler's request for a little color! Those of us who are TA challenged try to learn from the more experienced posters. Thanks for posting the chart - would just like to understand more.
Thanks, Tom, for posting this. It is very helpful - I know very little about TA and your analysis is very insightful. Thanks for taking the time to share the information.
Can anyone with more medical knowledge than I, explain the differences in the approaches that ADXS and INO are using as they each pursue HPV cervical cancer? From what I can read, their trials seems similar but I would appreciate anyone's further commentary.
Thank you for taking the time to put together such a comprehensive review - I certainly am very grateful for all your efforts - they are very much appreciated.
I hope you are right. It will be interesting to see how the proxy debacle ends up. Management has an opportunity here to restore investor confidence by taking the appropriate measures here. We can only hope that they will.
I was surprised to get an email this morning from Schwab asking if I would like to participate in their Securities Lending Fully Paid Program. Apparently, now when people want to borrow your stocks for shorting purposes your broker will pay you a fee. At the moment, the stock that they wanted to borrow from me was NWBO which is apparently in demand for shorters!
Obviously I am not going to participate since I have been a long for years and I do not want to increase the negative pressure on the stock but this was the first time that I had received a communication like this. I don't know whether any of you had received a similar email.
From what I have understood, a positive reason for expanding the trial would be to have it completed sooner. With money coming in from Germany, they could afford to add patients and they would be able to reach approval somewhat more quickly. I wouldn't see it as necessarily a negative.
That is the only possible explanation that makes any sense. Let's hope that that is the rationale. However, my faith in this company at the moment is not high! Dan was certainly communicating broadly last year when he needed the proxy but he hasn't been very forthcoming in this latest debacle.
That is the only thing that would make sense but you would think that you could work out an acquisition with lenders rather than going to the markets at such a debilitating discount. Could it be that they do need the money just to survive and that the former CFO was totally inept?
Any advice out there? This has become a nightmare that I do not understand. I would love to hear some rationale that might explain managements actions.
Thank you, Pyrrhonian, that was clearly laid out. Thank you for your patience in explaining it all.
I wish the market had shown a more positive response. The enthusiasm seemed to wane quickly today, unfortunately.
Thank you for posting that article. I was just thinking today that we really needed to have some communication from management! It has been quiet for too long.
Thank you, Sharpei, for your response and the link.
Sharpei, Could you elaborate a little bit on this? What does the triangle signify in your experience?
Interesting to note that the University of Alabama was involved with the development of this switch.
I think Advaxis has an ongoing trial in dogs with osteosarcoma.
Your comments are very much appreciated. Thanks for posting that article from 2011. It gives a good synopsis of the workings of NWBO.
