But I offer more than that now…
It’s been two months since Jim and Doug teamed their presentation to the DSS audience… and since then we’ve not been given much to bet on – or have we?
IF! If, we have a new partner-in-the-making (my last Thursday’s assessment) it will certainly take time to work out the agreement with SCHOTT – the trump card. But it’s more than that. That display partner will carry the load to the foreseeable consumer markets with SCHOTT satisfying the whims of the military/security complex within the fed/gov. It’s a win/win situation for both. And can you see a buyout argument between the two industry giants that need to be satisfied before ratifying any joint development agreement?
So terms and details are paramount to the partnership.
Chemi, has just told us that he thinks no funding until 2016. Hmm… there’s two or three other proposals out there that I know of should our NIH submission get trashed. But I’m not going to disagree, rather my optimism is based on our new partner. The Boeing letter and other letters of confidence will go a long way within the complex, however, will do little to finalize our image space development, which is now in critical need.
It’s all about the display partner.
If Doug can get the word out within the complex that we, in fact, do have a partner that will help maximize our image space, but only need time to work out the agreement with SCHOTT, I believe that will promote the first letting of federal funding. In essence, we need to tell the funder that “we now can make that display unit bigger and better, don’t worry.” Who could discount those words knowing SCHOTT Defense is involved?
I’m betting on the partner news next, not the funding news.
Very much appreciated Cyclonefan…
Chemi, you now have three answers – all positives, including Playman’s – to your excellent question. And here it is:
“What if NIH rejects their proposal? I know this is the worst possible scenario for longs, but is anyone planning to hold this stock if their NIH proposal is rejected or not funded for some other reason?
“I had to ask this question because no one else has discussed this possibility yet.”
Very good question and I’m discussing it…
And I hope others do, too!
Chemi, I would think that Doug would no doubt have a backup plan. Or at least a plan that coincides with expected government funding pronouncements.
Consequently, I think that we have a display partner in-waiting. And I say that simply because of the mention in our DSS conference report of our contact with optical engineering firms – why mention it otherwise? What caught my surprise was many of their clients are anxious to develop 3D visualization product. And they know that it takes monies appropriated to the R&D effort for that unique product development, but… they’re client’s needs need to be met.
If my guess plays out, we will have a JDA with an engineering firm, which SCHOTT would have to approve as mentioned in the report. And I believe that this is a complementary plan to any funding proposal that we’ve submitted to the fed/gov thus far. In other words, we need the image space development maximized as soon as possible… and in doing so, we need the combined efforts of SCHOTT and the new display partner completing our next display unit.
And we’re doing this while we await word concerning our funding proposals… and our potential partner knows this! This is the puzzling part to me.
He knows that he will be contributing to nothing more than discontinuous innovation, disruptive technology, disruptive innovation… whatever you want to call it. But! He, like SCHOTT, knew he would have a cut in this experience through that JDA. He, like SCHOTT, paid the upfront fees, licensing fees, whatever, to be a part of it… knowing that there’s much more to come, if successful. He knows that not only will he meet his client’s needs, he will have to satisfy government needs as well.
We know that we only lack proof of the image space display and I believe Doug gave us a hint of a new partner to help progression of our patented technology.
Think about it. How much private R&D funding does it take to build out a successful image space? SCHOTT North America bet on its subsidiary and named it “Defense” to do its part. What would some billion dollar display giant bet on its new subsidiary company to prove its industry prowess?
Bottom line: CSpace is not going away. And answer this: Who owns it? And who has exclusive rights to it? That’s right. I’m holding.
For what it’s worth.
Yeah, you’re right Cloneman…
this delivery room drama just got the best of me. I forgot all about what’s about to happen. Thanks for setting me straight.
Boom.
Is it just me or does anyone else feel any tenseness?
Bottom feeders and longtimers seem to be loaded up and await the bounce… the bounce brought about by news – any news! Seems like we’ve assumed the magic deadline is June-something and yeah, it’s mid-June and in two weeks, it’s over. So much for the NIH thrown bone.
Doug, it’s up to you, man… to work your magic in that complex of industrial elites.
Talk about pressure.
Here’s the latest presser from SCHOTT…
http://www.us.schott.com/english/news/press.html?NID=us598
And our Technology Advisory Board member, Chris Chinnock, will wrap up his so-called Display Summit today in Orlando. By the way, George Melnik is on Chris' Insight Media company staff.
CSpace is what it is…
And at the time it is exactly disruptive innovation in-waiting. This great story isn’t a great story – yet! We get that great story when we have another believer in our story the likes of SCHOTT North America, yet they created a subsidiary company to help prove our technology’s story. And guess what, that future partner will do the same… create an offshoot company to prove its gamble on their portion of the development of CSpace. That new partner may help the world see a larger, full color array of motion in a new portable platform, but that’s it. Until public funding comes to fruition, no company will be borne with unlimited capital to render CSpace a success story.
Until we have a story to tell that is not limited in detail, we have no story. Our storytelling now is to the military industrial complex of the federal government. And they know that our story outside their complex falls mainly on deaf ears. They have us where they want us.
“I think Clonefan probably picked up another 15M shares…”
So that’s what CSpace means – CloneSpace! Let’s see, replica, duplicate… not bad!
So why in the world…
would SCHOTT Glass want to waste their time just making a few 1 inch cubes?
Oh! Oh! I know! I know! ...
They… let’s see, they want to waste their time trying to grow the 1 inch cubes to 3 inch cubes once they approve the new optics engineer’s credentials and his client’s proposal.
SCHOTT, 3DIcon and the new partner, then develop an agreement to build out the client’s product on his dime. And when they do they’ll surpass the 3 inch cube and make it larger, and when complete, they’ll call it the Product Platform # 1. And all of this was accomplished because they knew they could grow that display, but they needed the dime.
Persuasion is the name of the game, and if it works, a deal will be cut and will be our next news – I think – while we await… and await… and await, the decision(s) of the federal government describing in detail the use of our tax dollars, in this case, called funding.
So the question remains, whose dime comes first? The new partner’s client or fed/gov funding? And keep in mind, this is disruptive innovation.
Image space dilemma…
Checotahman, the LP/DU is complete, patent updated and we’re on hold bumming for image space bucks.
The image size is only an inch and a half and we still have green tea, but we’ve known that for three months and have become desensitized to the facts… or at least I have. If that presentation wowed at least one mover and shaker and he knew that he could grow, color and animate that thing, that’s all I care about. And if that cat went to his superiors and plead his case, maybe, just maybe, we’ll see some funding and/or contracts start to flow and get the bigger is better PP1 in the history books. That’s what this presentation was about to me. It either worked or it didn’t.
So much for the presentation.
Does anyone know who wrote the following mid-March?
“Not contractors that I am aware of. Stock is sold to raise funds as is reported in the quarterly statements. It is agreed upfront that these investors would not dump stock to damage the price. The problem is that when this happens (stock price decline) it makes it more difficult to raise funding through PIPEs. Key right now is to keep the company alive while trying to make some progress in the technology to help support getting the govt to invest. At the current price, 3DIcon could be purchased for very little. Have a nice day. By the way, nice article published yesterday in NASA Briefs. While it does not bring money directly, it at least helps keep it in front of the Fed.”
Regardless of the author’s identity, some straightforward advice was offered and is pertinent now.
So while we wait, I’m giving what I can.
Excellent! Let him show us the ropes!
But he’s not here yet!
In the interim, maybe just maybe, we can find a partner who knows how to best make a medical imaging display in anticipation of the grant. Then, we'll work out the details.
Thanks, Chemi…
and oh, yes, you are.
I think this new partner-in-the-making with a JDA perception is really good news. Doug’s on to something. If nothing else, we’ll get that display viewing down to desktop size and move it around anywhere we want.
Yeah, I have to agree with you, I think the partner news is up next.
I don’t know the answer…
That’s why I asked you – you’re a smart guy.
But you still haven’t answered my question. Which comes first, our new optical engineering partner or fed/gov funding?
No payment involved…
With SCHOTT’s approval we’ll form a JDA. The optical partner will probably form a subsidiary similar to our partner now. Keep in mind our technology is disruptive, albeit much advanced.
Our new partner will go out on a limb using his client’s funding for his product development. This is good news while waiting for fed/gov funding.
Which comes first...
the optical engineering partner or funding from the US government?
It seems like we know what we need…
And it seems like our current work effort would be enhanced by optical engineering services. According to our DSS conference report, it seems like a JDA with an industry leader may provide a gateway to their end users ready to fund and develop a product… their product platform. Private sector funding would open up a second avenue for funding and slaps the ‘beyond risk tolerance of industry’ cliché in the face. But perhaps we’ve progressed needing only that display genius to lessen the risk.
To expand on the walrus’ mention of Synopsys the other day here’s their website (thanks walrus):
http://optics.synopsys.com/engineering-services/index.html
Neah, you won’t see me at the casinos…
but as an outsider looking out, the play on TDCP is similar. You take what you’re willing to lose through those casino doors; the same with the money you layout for your Buy of TDCP shares. Otherwise, foolishness becomes more clarified. And I’ll place my bet on Bingo-Bango-Bongo at the course, not the craps table on Riverside Drive in T-town. And maybe the Sooners next year, but not this.
And yes, in answer to your question, I do believe we’ll receive a release concerning our attendance at the conference, but in essence, so what? And yes, Vic’s word is good… we’ll see that video at some point, but again, so what? That’s not going to rock this thing! What we need is news – meaningful news! When we read that presser that we just received our funding, the times, they are a changin’… the game changer!
Playman, this play is all about CSpace – has been and always will be. You either believe in it or you don’t. It’s nothing more than disruptive innovation in the making and requires perseverance for all involved. And who cares what happens to it as long as you own a piece of it?
BOOMER!
Good question Robman…
I know you didn’t ask me, but…
A Closing below .0013 on the Daily chart and to substantiate it, a Closing on the Weekly below .0013. In effect, our Support would be blown and no doubt a negative sign.
I’d like to see sideways trading (accumulation) between now and, like the weatherman predicts, May or June. However, I’d say June… then time’s out. The Resistance trend line from the SCHOTT announcement, using Closing prices on both charts, allows my June prediction, thus my accumulation hope. Trading between .0017 and .0014 would be ideal.
And yes, I know, it’s not a perfect world that we trade in. But knowing where that bottom is… is after-the-fact talent.
And I agree completely with the weathercat’s answer to you… especially, that “slow, very deliberate share price rise…” I like those words.
Flyersman had it right in a recent writing…
Something to the effect that penny stocks don’t use money to pay for things when they can issue their stock for nothing… paraphrasing.
The federal government – thanks to the overnight deal with the Federal Reserve – works on the same basis and has for just over a hundred years now. Thus, the Depression, recessions, boom-busts since then. The Fed debased the dollar by eventually getting rid of its backing – gold. FDR outlawed gold possession, Nixon got rid of the backing for good, and now the dollar’s worth, what, less than 3 cents? If – and a big IF – the dollar gets its gold backing back, its value will gradually rise with the marketplace tradeoff. When – not, if – CSpace gets its funding in dollars and thereby increases in value to the market, its share price rises commensurately, based on the dollar.
CSpace is there; it’s not going away… think of it this way: CSpace is unmined gold right now but when brought to the surface, will back its share price.
So it’s a waiting game right now. Our salesmen haven’t come home yet.
So in the interim, playman, shoot some snooker, play some golf on your days off. Livelifeasplay… as you say.
Truly disruptive innovation has no alternative…
but to go through federal government funding, initially. And Doug and Jim will receive due credit upon receipt of that funding. Will it be something that they said or did? Oh yeah! You bet!
The tech’s ready for its progression… its advancement, if you will. And it won’t do it sitting still in that OU/Tulsa lab due to lack of funding. CSpace will move at some point. We don’t know exactly that point in time. But if it’s delayed beyond elite expectations, we’ll see funding coming our way.
The above are my thoughts and you may agree or disagree… but that’s your decision.
Excellent! Jim did what he had to do today…
Doug did what he had to do last month… and I was at Tulsa last June and heard what was said, but that’s not the focus now.
We know what we have as our mainstay; we know what SCHOTT has as their mainstay, and we know what was created from the blending of the two. And yes, it needs refinement. And how are we going to get that refinement? That’s where we are and our focus now… and that’s my point!
We are to the point of selling our combined mainstays to the fed/gov. We have no other choice.
We have our big guns on the road right now trying to sell the combination… their success is crucial.
It depends on the sales job…
When Congress appropriates mega-dollars to agencies, heads and staff of those agencies then become very responsible to the power that gave them that money to dispense accordingly. And that money better get results favorable to its originators.
It’s all about persuasion; it’s all about influence; it’s all about accountability, and in the end – results.
It’s not about who has the best technology anymore; it’s about persuasion to fund OUR technology – CSpace!
We’ll soon see just how talented Doug and Jim are. Time’s running out. Someone’s going to get that free-money.
We have our salesmen on the road...
It’s all about talk right now.
At the NDIA the report says nothing more than Doug gave an overview of our CSpace technology on-stage for 30-minutes. Afterwards, he entertained questions concerning our tech while standing by a visual. Apparently the discussions verified opportunities and potential partners identified. I don’t believe the LP/DU was there, regardless of the hype that it was – mine included.
Jim goes on-stage this morning but things seem a little different. Simply put, he’s hosting a product demonstration with Doug. What “product” he’s going to be demonstrating is your best guess.
These cats will have had prestigious audiences within the last month that have persuasive influence for the direction of spending within the military/industrial complex. And yes, there are others spewing forth their spiel for that same money, but CSpace technology seems to be garnering the sway. We’ll see.
It’s up to Doug and Jim now.
This is what I was able to glean…
from the SPIE program.

SCHOTT’s #733 booth, on the Exhibition Floor, is a corner booth, medium sized.
PRODUCT DEMOS
Product Demonstrations are open to all attendees. Exhibiting companies will be showcasing their products in half-hour demonstrations.
WEDNESDAY
3D Volumetric Display Technology for the Warfighter
Jim Stein, SCHOTT Defense and Doug Freitag, 3DIcon
SCHOTT Defense & 3DIcon present the evolution of 3D display technology, discuss the role of glass to improve the quality of the systems, and how 3D improves situational awareness for the warfighter.
Product demos exhibited… hmmm. No doubt we have some form of “product” out there. Seems like we’ve become more enabled since the patent, but yet tightlipped.
Doug’s name wasn’t listed in yesterday’s SCHOTT’S PR nor today's 3DIcon presser.
And this:
Douglas W. Freitag is a SPIE Member and will present “Roadmap for Transparent Advanced Ceramic Sensor Windows” in Session 2 either today or tomorrow. The conference session he will be presenting in is titled: Window & Dome Technologies & Materials XIV.
SCHOTT Defense is a SPIE Corporate Member. Jim Stein was not listed.
“will host a product demonstration with 3DIcon”
I have no idea what the product is that Jim will demonstrate, but Vic said this about the LP/DU May 21st of last year: “… Other internal changes are designed to improve the appearance and portability of the demonstration unit.”
IMO, our JDA on SCHOTT’s dime, built the never before heard of “laboratory prototype / demonstration unit.”
How portable that unit is, is anyone’s best guess. But Jim’s touting something tangible day after tomorrow.
Regardless, word’s spreading about our technology to all involved with the military/industrial complex that will eventually fund it.
Jim Stein, Vice President of Government Relations at SCHOTT Defense, will host a product demonstration with 3DIcon on April 22 at 10:30 a.m. at the product demo area. Stein will detail the evolution of 3D display technology, how 3D improves situational awareness for the warfighter, and the role of innovative glass materials in improving the quality of these systems.

Here's Hakki's review...
EXCELLENT!!! Very Exciting!!!
By H. Refai on February 20, 2015
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
Not only did I feel like I knew the characters, they became very real. This book is just technical enough to know that lots of research was done. I recommend and have recommended this book to my family and friends.
Walrus, you’re on your game, man…
Excellent summaries and information you’ve provided in your 28722, 28725 and 28742 commentaries today.
Here’s the patent:

And you’re not really Martin Keating… are you?
“… currently $TDCP is setting up the bounce”
I like those words Ospreyman… and man you bring a lot of followers.
And yes, I think that reversal pattern you mention also includes a nice trend line of Resistance derived from the Weekly Close of the SCHOTT announcement a year ago. It appears the line will give us a few weeks of accumulation around the .002 area, and in the process, forming a strong Weekly Bottom. Additionally we oversold on the first leg down in March and indicators seemed poised for the accumulation.
Yeah, we’re due for a bounce.
Since we have no price-bottom established…
we may need a knocked-out PR tomorrow to offset today’s 10-K.
We had good weekly Closing Support since the start of the year at .003 then the bottom fell out the second week of March.
The March CEO Insights didn’t help. Needless to say, Company news henceforth has to have meaningful substance to it.
We need that bottom.
I have no idea…
Just browsing around trying to find something to investigate further. Nothing from the SCHOTT websites, nothing from our own, so I thought I’d give Chris’ a shot. I’m not holding my breath that we’ll display there simply because we have nothing to “display” as far as I know. We’re incognito right now – some of it I can understand due to agreements, etc. – but man, we’ve got to get our little innovation into the limelight someway, somehow… and pronto!
Listen, we’re wrapping up that conference today and some of the most influential members in the Department of Defense and their contractors are in attendance. This, to me, is do or die. I don’t know what we put on the table – literally. Do you? I asked that question this week, I’ll ask it again: What was “the technology” that was introduced on stage and what was that “visual representation of the technology?” “CSpace” and “solid-state volumetric 3d” won’t get it! That’s not a complete answer. Again, what was presented, what was exposed? Think about it. What did we show to hopefully dazzle that 500-deep crowd of military sway? It wasn’t the LP/DU and I haven’t heard of a portable demonstration unit that we can carry from show to show. So what was it? What was “really fantastic from an exposure standpoint?”
Simply said, I choose to believe that “something” had to astonish this week. And if it did, Uncle Sam has got to open up his wallet… he’s got to lay the money on the table and get the disruption started.
What say you, Vic? What say you, Doug?
Chemi, this may be right up your alley…
http://www.displaysummit.com/previous-events/
This so-called Display Summit, to be held June 15-16, is the creation of one of our Technology Advisory Board members, Chris Chinnock. He, Mark and George are our technology innovation hawks and is still with us as far as I know. By the way, George is one of Chris’ Insight Media team members.
We have a good idea. We have to sell it…
to someone... somehow… for whatever we can get out of it… for the time being. But we have to get there first.
Should we land this government project, we’ll build-out, a one cubic foot monochrome display unit, but we have to pass the first test. (Expletive.) I’d say we’ve done our homework and we’re boned-up for that test and we’ll ace it. The only thing we can hope for is some wise official who has the clout – political and otherwise – who will grade our paper and say: “I’m going to tell you this one time – and one time only – for your benefit! Time’s wasting. This technology needs to move forward – and now! Doug Freitag is representing this company and SCHOTT and you’d better believe in this product that he’s pushing! Got it?”
It’s down to this folks… we’re at the end game. The selling of our product is all that’s left.
Someone’s going to get lucky. And it ain’t your favorite uncle – he’ll use and abuse it as he sees fit and then throw it away. In the interim, some astute company on the scale of SCHOTT is going to buy into this technology who realizes its disruptive qualities.
CEO Insights...
http://ir.3dicon.net/ceo-insights/detail/374/3dicon-responds-to-a-solicitation-from-combating-terrorism
3DIcon Responds to a Solicitation from Combating Terrorism Technical Support Office (CTTSO)
3DIcon last week submitted a response to the Combating Terrorism Technical Support Office (CTTSO) annual solicitation seeking new project ideas. The response described how its 3D volumetric display technology could enhance training and aid in the visualization and analysis of data used during critical decision-making.
The submitted response included a discussion of the technical approach based on 3DIcon’s CSpace®, a two phase project that would deliver a 1 cubic foot scale, monochrome display, and the operational and performance capabilities expected from the delivered display. The 30-month project was estimated to cost $1.75M.
3DIcon believes its technology would be a major asset in regards to cyber data advanced analytics, security screening, and surveillance/tactical support. If 3DIcon passes this first phase of project evaluation, the company will be requested to submit a more detailed discussion of the project.
The mission of CTTSO is to identify and develop leading technologies to combat terrorism and non-traditional adversaries, and to deliver these capabilities to DoD components and interagency partners through rapid research and development, advanced studies, and technical innovation.
- Doug Freitag, VP of Technology and Business Development
Man, this has got to be a hard sell…
That LP/DU is just what it is… and will remain somewhere in the greater-Tulsa area. However, our presenters just left the stage, but think about it… after the introduction of the Company, technology, and how it will benefit the military, what evidence was presented that would inspire absolute dedication of a military wing to scurry the funding the next possible due date?
Hopefully, we took the advice and got that video to allow us to show-and-tell during the conference, but time is of the essence. If we can somehow lure some of that brass to T-town to dazzle, then we might have a chance at their next funding.
"solid-state volumetric 3d"
Wow, I bet they’ve never seen one of those before. By now, that audience must be thunderstruck.
Okay. Granted…
I understand that CSpace is patented. I got it.
Let me put this another way: What “technology” specifically will be introduced on stage in an hour-and-a-half?
Mogus, during that 30-minute intro…
will the LP/DU (technology) be demonstrated publicly for the first time? And do you believe we now have the video of the prototype to be displayed throughout the conference? TIA.
