On my ameritrade screen, bid is .05 and ask is 2.10
Chas and Need, thanks for your responses. I checked my records and I did send copies, so I'm OK. I have the certs in my files.
I sent my certs to Frizzy about a year ago. I guess I need to get them back if I can ever sell the stock. Are there any of you in the same boat?
What I don't understand about the announcement is that if they have a commitment to transparency, why don't they give the name of the Investment Bank?
micmac, are LEHPQ stockholders also eligible for these claims? Thanks.
Surfkast, that was a very interesting post. It means that the institutional investor paid $.05 per share, less than the lowest posted price I saw today. I'll bet many of us, myself included, would like to have obtained shares today at 5 cents rather than up to more than 9 cents. This transparency which is supposed to be a hallmark of management seems to be after the fact transparency. Am I interpreting your post correctly?
They are holding down the volume. Selling at the bid for $100.00 trades.
Biz, I hope you are right, I have a lot of money at stake here. I am a longterm bull but I think it is going to take more time than many people here think.
I'm not happy about saying this, and I would like to think otherwise, but we have had delay after delay in this case, and I don't think May 20 will be any different, despite our hopes to the contrary. I think JPM and FDIC will fight this for as long as they can, even though I firmly believe WMI is in the right. Just being pragmatic.
Thank you, MrBigz, I like your explanations. I have followed you and your recommendations and consider you one of the good guys on Ihub.
Hi, Lucy, I hope you meant clip rather than quip. Quip is kind of a joke, and I know that they are very serious indeed. A great company and stock.
Lakers in 6, Ducks in 7.
Thanks, TFT, I think I can safely say that we're all making money due to this board.
JJ, thanks for your continued responsiveness. You do a great job here. BTW,it's good that you buy their shoes, just don't throw them at politicians. (LOL)
What does the board think of WHAIQ?
Go Cubbies! How can you lose with the stock of America's team?
Thanks, JJ. Continues to be a great board and team effort.
Thanks a lot, cork. Seems to be a short-term hold only, limiting the risk, maybe keeping a small core holding for long-term. I've seen you on the SRSR board, some good posts. The action on Friday at the end of the day for DCNMQ was very interesting and rather unusual.
JJ, will do. Part of me feels bad for the companies, like I'm a "grave dancer," but Q's are going to be a growth industry for 2009 and possibly 2010 as well, so we'll go with the flow.
Thank you, JJ, I know that several smart Ihubbers are interested and have apparently taken positions.
Great Board, thank you Trump, Jj, et al. What do you think about DCNMQ, I heard it mentioned before. Best of luck to all of us, and I hope to contribute in the future.
JonPro, if you flip and make a profit, your timing is good, not horrible.
Good one, Lotto, my solution is to keep the puter in the bathroom.
.05 is resistance, but we will eventually break it.
Lotto, you gotta hold it when you're trading, LOL
I think some of the profit taking money is going to the LEHPQ's
Jerle, your continued optimism on the WAMPQ board has been very helpful to that board. I anticipate that same here, and it is much appreciated.
Jerle, you may have more WAMPQs, but I made up for it on the LEHPQs, LOL
Jerle, I've liked your comments on the WAMPQ's. How would you like to see face value on this one? To me, why settle for "half a loaf" on the other preferreds or trust shares when you can get a whole loaf and more with the big face value on this one?
Van, great info and Power Point. Thanks for all your DD and research. I wondered about a possible typo. When you were describing the Ascend program, you mentioned the Q4 of 2008. Should that have been 2009?
Viva, is it the same lawyers? I know they have the same restructuring team, Alvarez and Marsal, who are great, but do they have the Weil firm and the Quinn firm, among others? Also, it is extremely difficult to get those trust stocks, including the cq, the dq, and the others. It seems that the best ones to get, because they have steady vollue, are the P's and the commons.
Roll Tide, too, and Let's Go Quakers!
Hookem Horns! I would like for them to settle soon, but I anticipate that they will fight, resist and stall for a long time. For those that are patient, I think it will work in our favor with more BIG BUCKS.
Thank you both.
Waman, it seems that you like the P's better than the C's. Can you explain why? thanks.
Good luck. I paid 7.50 for the WAMPQs so don't feel bad. We're both making money, so let's hope that we do as well on this one.
Hi, Trader, I have the same thought, but you have to be patient. I like the fact that some sharp wampqers are here, and this seems to be the time to accumulate. But I am a speculator, so it's a risk that I'm willing to take.
I see some wampqers on this board, good sign
